HEATH, MALCOLM ROSS,
ROBERT'S ARM

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ross Heath, age 66, announce his passing at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Sunday, July 7, 2002. Mr. Heath retired from mining in 1983 and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Predeceased by parents Edna and Henry; son Malcolm James; brother Wilbert and sister Melvina Heath. Left with fond and loving memories are sons Melvin (Margaret), Sussex, NB, Eddie (Jackie), Berwick, NB, Bailey (Tammy-Lee), Toronto, ON; daughter Vona (Leo), Elliott Lake, ON; sisters Elthea (Ralph), Grace (Cyril), Shirley (Stanley) and Rowena (Allister); brothers Charlie (Annie), Bert (Winnie) and Ford (Joy); seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Wade Lodge conducted the funeral service at Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm on Thursday, July 11, 2002. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Robert's Arm. Pallbearers were sons Melvin, Eddie and Bailey; grandson Bobby Deshaies and nephews Dennis Mitchell and Tony Heath.

STONE, MAXWELL CONSTANTINE
ROBERT'S ARM

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maxwell Stone, age 82, announce his passing at the CNHCC on July 7, 2002. Predeceased by his parents; brothers Jim, Gideon and Bill and sister Mae. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Lillian; son Walter (Delphine), Robert's Arm and daughter Ruby (Scott) Winsor, Robert's Arm. Also leaving to mourn brothers Clifford, Roland and Albert; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. T. Russell lodge conducted the funeral service at the United Church and Cemetery, Robert's Arm on Wednesday, July 10, 2002. Pallbearers were Jim, Brian and Bob Stone, Jerome Hinks, Gus Weir and Brian Burton.

MARTIN, CAROLINE CECILLA
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Caroline Cecilla Martin, age 77, announce her passing at her son's residence in La Scie on Saturday, July 13, 2002. Predeceased by her husband Sylvester and parents Thomas and Johanna Sullivan. Left with fond and loving memories are sons Desmond (Marjorie), La Scie, Brendan (Maggie), Sudbury, ON, Gerard (Gloria), John (Patsy) both of La Scie and George (Irene), Shoe Cove; daughters Margaret Sullivan (Ed), Saint John, NB, Mary Martin, Scarborough, ON, Irene Brown (Andy), Saint John, NB, Ann Dodd, Sudbury, ON, Ruth Lethbridge (Alex), St John's, Shelia Toms (Harold) and Barbara Martin both of La Scie; 30 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn brothers Claude (Beth), Cyril (Veronica and Andy (Yvonne); sisters Philomena (Charlie), Elizabeth (Doug), Madona, Irene, Joe, Jenny and Alberta and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Bill Matthews conducted the funeral service at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, La Scie on Tuesday, July 16, 2002. Pallbearers were sons Brendan, Gerard, John and George; daughters Shelia and Barbara and grandson Brendan and the crossbearer was daughter Ruth.

BURTON, IDA MARJORIE
Passed away peacefully July 18, 2002, Ida Marjorie Burton at her home in Springdale. She was 77 years of age. Mrs. Burton retired from the Springdale Hospital where she was a cook in 1977 and was a member of the Grace United Church. Predeceased by son Billy. Left to mourn are Husband Selby; son Lloyde, Ottawa, ON; daughters Betsy (Victor), Springdale and Sylvia (Jake), Campbell River, BC. Also leaving to mourn are sisters Dorcas Paddock, Springdale, Gwen Short, Bathurst, NB and Elizabeth Morris, Moncton, NB; brothers Ford Rideout, Springdale and Robert Rideout, Robert's Arm; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Lodge conducted the funeral service at the Grace United Church, Springdale on Monday, July 22, 2002. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Burton (grandson), Christopher Burton (grandson), Terry Foss (grandson), Terry Rideout (nephew), Bill Morris (nephew) and Rayfield Wiseman (son-in-law)

HENSTRIDGE, ROXANNE TRACEY
BRIGHTON

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roxanne Henstridge, age 30, announce her passing after a lengthy illness at the Green Bay Health Centre, Springdale on July 18, 2002. She was a teacher. Left to mourn are husband Monty; parents Clarence and Primrose Verge; sisters Rhonda Watkins and Rochelle Fudge; brothers Robbie and Rodney Verge. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Glen Chaulk conducted the funeral service at the Maranatha Pentecostal Church, Triton on Sunday July 21, 2002. interment was at the Brighton Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robbie and Rodney Verge, Brian, Rudy, Larry and Rocky Henstridge.

MITCHELL, PETER FRANCIS
WOODSTOCK

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peter Francis Mitchell, age 95, announce his passing at the BVHC, Baie Verte on Friday, July 26, 2002. Predeceased by his parents Enos and Isabella; sisters Maude and Annie; brothers James, Henry and Edward; son Herbert; daughter-in-law Melba and granddaughter Della. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Caroline; children Yvonne Bussey (Valance) Edmonton, AB, Chesley (Ella), Reginald (Jessie), Mackenzie (Marion), Bernice Regular (Pleman Randell), Judy Bussey (Albert), Pearce (Maxine), Rex (Gloria), Flossie Taylor (Norman), Melvie Bussey (Harold), Woodrow (Lillian) all of Woodstock; Ralph (Violet), Harry's Hr, Blanche Regular (Melvin), Ming's Bight, George (Bertha), Daniel's Hr, Whiled Grigsby (Harold), Stellar ton, NS, Sheila Simms (Allophones) Woodstock; brothers Awe, Roland and Harry; 68 grandchildren; 105 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Captain Chris Pilgrim conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery, Woodstock on Monday, July 29, 2002. Pallbearers were sons Chesley, Reginald, Mackenzie, Pearce, Woodrow, Ralph and grand daughters Rosalyn Bussey and Roma Taylor.

SIMMS, ETTIE
Passed peacefully away July 27, 2002, Ettie Simms at the Valley Vista Seniors Home, Springdale. She was 68 years of age. Predeceased by husband, Francis and brothers Elijah and Ray. Left to mourn are sons Frank (Daphne), Scarborough, ON and Ivan (Kim), Pilley's Island and daughter Arlene (Bruce Payne), Pilley's Island. Also leaving to mourn sister Dorothy Roberts (Neil), Gander; brothers Alex Cassell, Pilley's Island and Harold Cassell (Wendy); six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Capt. B. Hopkins conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel, Pilley's Island on Tuesday, July 30, 2002. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Pilley's Island. Pallbearers were Ethel Fifield, Doris Payne, Paula Rideout, Miranda Fudge, Margaret Tizzard and Bride Osmond.

RYAN, HILDA T. (nee TOMS)
Passed peacefully away July 29, 2002, Hilda T. Ryan (nee Toms) at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's. She was 77 years of age. Mrs. Ryan was a member of the Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm. Predeceased by parents Jacob and Dorcas Toms; husband Harold Ryan; son Clarence Ryan; brother Clarence Toms and granddaughter Suzette Ryan. Left to mourn are sons Ewen (Edna), Leaf Rapids, MB, Tony (Marie), Marathon, ON and Gregory (Flo), Ignace, ON and daughter Donnetta. Also leaving to mourn are sisters Mildred; brother Willie; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor W. Noble, assisted by Pastor E. Ryan conducted the funeral service at the Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm on Thursday, August 1, 2002. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shawn Hewlett, Ryan Hewlett, Jamie Ryan, Michael Winsor, Tony Roberts and Chris Hewlett.

PITTMAN, FRANCES EDNA
Passed away July 29, 2002, after a lengthy illness, Frances Edna Pittman at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor. She was 59 years of age. Predeceased by parents Howard and Pearl Huxter. Left to mourn are husband Harry Pittman; son Brian (Cindy), Scarborough, ON; daughters Shirley (Colin Brown), North York, ON, Capt. Doreen (Capt. Duane Colbourne), Salvation Army, Long Island and Denise (Adam Sheppard), Newmarket, ON. Also leaving to mourn sisters Betty, Sharon and Verley; brothers Allan Huxter (Ivy) and Gerald Fudge (Fanny); eight grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Major Gary Butt conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel, Springdale on Thursday, August 1, 2002. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery, Springdale. Pallbearers were Brian Pittman, Colin Brown, Duane Colbourne, Adam Sheppard, Allan Huxter and Gerald Fudge.
