JONES, ANNIE FRANCES
Baie Verte, NL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Frances Jones announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on her 74th birthday, Saturday, July 10, 2010. Predeceased by her husband - Ambrose Jones; daughter-in-law - Katie Jones; parents - Robert & Annie Traverse; siblings - Bridget Walsh (John P.) & William John Traverse; brothers-in-law - Andrew Downey & Joseph Dugas. Left with fond and loving memories are her children - Madonna Clarke (Frank), Kevin Jones, Larry Jones, Gladys Doyle (Linus), all of Baie Verte, NL, and Beverley Haas (Eugene), Brent’s Cove, NL; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings - Margaret Lewis (John), Alice Jones (Michael), Tom Traverse (Chris), Anthony Traverse, Rita Haas (Gord), Bob Traverse (Bernie), Evangeline Tobin (Tom), Ed Traverse (Judy) and Madonna Traverse; siblings-in-law - Florence Traverse, Josephine Payne (Jack), Evangeline Downey, Anthony Jones (Betty) and Ray Jones (Genny); her dear special friends at Baie View Manor, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Joseph Tebsis conducted the funeral service at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL on Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Pallbearers were Larry Jones, Kevin Jones, Linus Doyle, Adam Jones, Michael Haas, Raphael Payne, Bob Traverse & Ed Traverse and the crossbearer was Ashley Doyle. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton’s Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

RYAN, ERIC
Passed peacefully away on July 14, 2010 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor, Eric Donald Ryan. He was 78 years of age. Don was a member of Masonic Lodge Northcliffe #1086 and James Strong Chapter. Don was retired from Hibernia. Predeceased by his parents Mack and Susanna Ryan. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Pearl Ryan, sons: Otto (Joanne) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Arthur (Joann) of Paradise and Rodney (Stephanie) of Mississauga, ON, daughters: Grace (Charlie) of Owen Sound, ON, Audrey (Ivan) of Jacksons Point, ON and Sylvia of Grand Falls-Windsor, grandchildren: Audra (Kevin), Jonathon, Timothy, Ryan, Erica, Amy, Cathy (Shane), Andrew Olivia, Emily, Eric, Daniel and Amanda, Great-grandchildren: Joshua, Jakob, Isabella, Isaac, Auden, Ethan, James and Benjamin, sister Myrtle and special family members: Debbie, Mary, Mac, Stella and Clemmie. Lt. Tina Dominaux and Gary Burgess, Right Worshipful Master of Lodge Northcliffe, conducted the funeral service at The Salvation Army in Robert’s Arm on July 17, 2010. Pallbearers were Brother Robert Duffney, PM, Brother Ken Miller, PM, Brother Ross Granter, Companion Oliver While, PM, Companion Life Taylor and Companion Ernest Paddock. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment, IPM of Central Funeral Homes. Don was foremost a family man, he gave his family a foundation of strength, faith and enduring love. He set an example of good old-fashioned hard work, honesty, courage and high ideals. He was a protector, provider and problem-solver. He cared about people and his community and was well respected by all who loved him.

HENSTRIDGE, DULCY BLANCHE
1922-2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dulcie Blanche Henstridge announces her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on July 16, 2010 at the age of 87. Dulcy was a member of the Salvation Army Corps in Triton. Predeceased by husband, Nelson; parents, James and Susie Lush; two brothers, Willis and Albert and sister, Lulu. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: Lorne (Bernice) of Triton, Woodrow (Violet) of Triton, Lawrence (Sharon) of Triton; daughters: Vivian Fudge of Triton, Patsy (Hayward) Fudge of Brighton and Lovejoy (Joe) Winsor of Triton. Also leaving to mourn, sister, Rowena Henstridge; brothers, Joseph (Linda) Lush, Willie (Maisie) Rodgers, 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Majors Larry and Phyllis Fudge conducted the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Triton on Monday, July 19, 2010. Interment was at the Triton Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandchildren: Stacey, Leroy, Desmond, Jeremy, Peter and Vickie. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

RICKETTS, FREDERICK
Passed peacefully away at the Miller Centre, St. John’s, on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, Frederick Ricketts of Westport, age 83 years. Predeceased by parents William and Priscella; three sisters and one brother. Left with fond and loving memories his sister Marjorie Hewitt; niece Wavey Smith (Rick); great nieces Renee and Robyn and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at the Anglican Church, Westport. Funeral service took place on Friday, July 23, 2010 from the Anglican Church, Westport with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Westport. In his memory donations may be made to Anglican Church, Westport.

CURTIS, MALCOLM
La Scie, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Malcolm Curtis, age 79, announce his passing at his private residence in La Scie, NL on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Predeceased by his parents - Llewlyn & Emma Curtis; step-mother - Annie Curtis; siblings - Wilbert Curtis, Joyce Welshman. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife - Elsie, La Scie; daughters - Michelle (Steve & his children - Erika, Katie, Rebecca), Monique (Cliff), both of Corner Brook, NL; brothers - Raymond Curtis (Dorothy), Lloyd Curtis (Lucy), Ernest Curtis; step-sister - Golda White (David); parents-in-law - Max & Marjorie Butt; siblings-in-law - Betty Curtis, Harvey Welshman, Alvin Butt (Yvonne), Delphina McCarthy (Eric), Gary Butt, Mona Gavin (Tom), Denise Butt (Ann); special friend - Lewis Fudge; many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Majors Arley & Darlene Masters conducted the funeral service at The Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery, La Scie, NL on Sunday, July 25, 2010. Pallbearers were Lewis Fudge, Walter Rogers, Terry Andrews, Shane Rogers, Tom Gavin and Tony Budgell.

HYNES, PATRICIA
Baie Verte, NL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patricia Hynes, age 78, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, July 23, 2010. Predeceased by her parents - John & Ellen Browne; siblings - Bill Browne, John Browne, Mary Murphy; parents-in-law - William & Elizabeth Hynes; sisters-in-law - Doreen Browne, Myra Picco. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband - Lorne Hynes, Baie Verte, NL; children - Deborah Hynes, Baie Verte, NL, Sonja Dixon (Shane), Cambridge, ON, Julia Wells (Albert), Wild Cove, NL, Lorne Hynes Jr. (Diane), Baie Verte, NL; granddaughters - Victoria Pardy, Ashley Pardy; siblings - Frances Kelly, Patrick Browne (Kay), Joe Browne (Jean), Barbara Mason (Harold); sisters-in-law - Eileen Browne, Norma Hynes; many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Joseph Tebsis conducted the funeral mass at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church & Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL on Monday, July 26, 2010. Pallbearers were Jamie Bounds, Murray Burton, Les Hewlett, Phonse McPherson, Joe Gillis & Pierce Budgell and the crossbearer was Joe Browne. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton’s Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

CLARKE, GEORGE ROBERT
1922-2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. George Clarke announces his passing at the Central Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on July 29, 2010 at the age of 87. Mr. George Clarke was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by parents, William and Pearl Clarke and sister, Viola Bath. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Mrs. Edna Clarke; sons: Orman Clarke (Eunice) of Bradford, ON., Bill Clarke (Cheryl) of Stouffville, ON., and George Clarke (Laura) of Newmarket, ON.; daughters: Sylvia Mayo (Roland) of Lower Sackville, NS., Rosalind Harbin (Eugene) of Springdale, Faye Wells (Roy) of Labrador City, Neila McQuay (Jim) of Parry Sound, ON., and Sherry Dupere (Paul) of Calgary, AB. Also leaving to mourn 3 sisters: Marie Young, Betty Winsor and Ruby Thomas; 35 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and lifelong friend, Mr. Jim Huxter. Pastor Howard Head conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on August 2, 2010. Interment was at the Springdale Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Orman Clarke, Bill Clarke, John Clarke, George Clarke Jr., Roy Wells, Eugene Harbin, Paul Dupere, Wayne Mayo and Jim McQuay. Honorary pallbearer was Mr. Jim Huxter. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

PELLEY, EDNA
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edna Pelley announce her passing at the Springdale Hospital in Springdale on July 30, 2010 at the age of 76 years. Edna Pelley was a member of The Salvation Army. Predeceased by parents, Albert and Loretta Thomas, brother, Ralph Thomas and a baby sister. Left with fond and loving memories are: husband, Gerald Pelley, sons, Lance (Cathy) of Springdale, Rhodes (Sue), of Springdale, daughter Connie (Barry) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren: Rebecca, Victoria, Jake, Jonsy, Nicole and Christopher. Great-grandchildren, Connor, Reed and Kaden. Major Lacey conducted the Funeral Service at the Salvation Army on Aug. 1, 2010; interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Austin Winsor, Peter Pelley, Don Thomas, Bruce Newbury, Bill Dawe, Keith Anstey, Ray Pelley and Mike Bouzane. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
