OAKE, SELBY DAWSON
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Selby Dawson Oake announce his passing on July 7, 2006 at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale at the age of 81 years. Selby was a member of the Pentecostal Church and the Salvation Army Men's Fellowship. Selby retired from Long Year Mining Company as cook. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Fanny, sister, Helen Cassell,brother-in-laws, George Anthony, Elijah Cassell and Eric Holloway. Left with fond and loving memories are; wife, Ruby, son Dwayne of Fort McMurray, Ab, ,brothers, Harvey (Mabell) of Grand Falls-Windsor NL, Leslie (Alice) of Pilley's Island, NL, Boyde (Dorothy) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Gerald of Pilley's Island,NL, Sisters, Hilda Anthony of Pilley's Island, NL, Viola of Port Blandford, NL, Anita (Ronald Brown) of Modestso,Ca., Georgina (Jim Boyde), of Labrador City, NL Elsie (Edward Dawe), of Pilley's Island, NL and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Captains Dwayne and Brandi Ledrew conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in Pilley's Island on July 10, 2006. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery Pilley's Island. Pallbearers were: Honorary pallbearer, Matthew Pittman, Steven Boyde, David Oake, Colin Whyatt, Wayne Oake, Melvin Penney and Max Pittman.

BLACKLER, HAROLD DANIEL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Daniel Blackler announce his passing at the Valley Vista in Springdale on July 9th, 2006, at the age of 82. Harold was a member of the United Church, and he was a retired plumber. He is predeceased by his daughter Nina, granddaughter Annette, sister Joyce and his parents. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Rhoda Blackler, sons Jerry (Christina) of Athabasca, AB, Kevin (Tassie) of Marathon, ON, Norvell (Darlene) of Oro-Station, ON, Gary (Cathy) of Midhurst, ON, Dean (Kim) of Springdale, NL; daughter Sharon (Bryan) of Springdale, NL. Also leaving to mourn sisters Phyllis (Aubrey), Marjorie (Leo), Marion, Wilma (Charlie); brothers Harvey (Meta), Francis (Doris), Roy (Violet); 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; along with a large circle of relatives and friends. Rev. Betty Robbins conducted the funeral service at the Grace United Church on July 13, 2006. Interment was at the United Cemetery. Pallbearers were his sons and daughter, Jerry, Kevin, Novell, Gary, Dean and Sharon.

FIFIELD, ETHEL ELIZABETH
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel Elizabeth Fifield announce her passing on July 12, 2006 at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale at the age of 62 years. Ethel was a member of the Salvation Army Home League. Predeceased by her husband, William Fifield, Infant child, parents John and Flora Strickland, brothers Arthur and William Strickland. Left with fond and loving memories are; sons, John (Wanda) of Mary's Harbour Labrador, NL, Paul (Bonnie) of Pilley's Island, NL, Rodney (Laura) of Goose Bay, Labrador, NL, Todd (Tammy) of Pilley's Island, NL, Shawn (Suzanne) of Pilley's Island, NL, Jamie (Pamela) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, daughters, Leona (Ronald) of Pilley's Island, NL, Roxanne Dean) of Pilley's Island, NL, Angie (Brandon) of Fort McMurray, Alb. Also leaving to mourn 10 grandchildren,1 great-grand child, 3 brothers, Hayward, Donald and Edmund Strickland,and a large circle of relatives and friends. Captains Dwayne and Brandi Ledrew, Captains Richard and Trudy Mouland conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in Pilley's Island on July 16, 2006. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery Pilley's Island. Pallbearers were: sons, John, Rodney, Paul, Todd, Shawn and Jamie.

RIDEOUT, ALLAN FORD
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Allan Ford Rideout announce his passing at the Valley Vista in Springdale on July 16, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Ford was a member of the Grace United Church, Notre Dame Masonic Lodge and a life member of Springdale Lions Club. Ford retired as owner of Superior Cleaners in 1990. He was predeceased by parents Clara and Jasper, brothers Lawrence, George, Don and sister Ida. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Georgina, sons Terry (Faye) of Springdale, and Dominic of Toronto, Ontario. Also left to mourn are brother Robert, sisters Dorcas, Gwen and Blanche, grandchildren Corey and Ashley as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Rev. Betty Robbins conducted the funeral service from Central Funeral Home in Springdale on July 20, 2006 with interment at the Grace United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Masonic members; Larry Moss, Raymond King, Jerry Brett, Gary Boyd, Lancelot Taylor and David Normore.

PARDY, CLAYTON W.
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clayton W. Pardy announce his passing on July 17, 2006 at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale at the age of 66 years. Predeceased by his father: Wesley, mother: Catherine, brothers: Wallace, Warrick and sister Hilda Noble. Left with fond and loving memories, wife Dorothy, sons, Roddy (Allison) of Fort McMurray, Alberta and Jeffrey (Darlene) of Mississauga Ontario. Also leaving to mourn two sisters: Elvie Small, Marie Evans (Truance) and one brother: Winston Pardy (Peggy) and a large circle of relatives and friends. Pastor Howard Head conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church Springdale, on July 22, 2006. Interment was at the Grant Avenue Pentecostal Cemetery Springdale, NL. Pallbearers were: Roddy Pardy, Jeffrey Pardy, Keith Pardy,Truance Evans, Dave Williams and Jim Williams.
