MILLS, AMBROSE JOHN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ambrose John Mills, age 71, announce his passing at the BVPHC, Baie Verte on Thursday, January 1, 2004. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Mary Mills; brother Leonard; sisters Nina Greenham, Maisie Ryan, Leah Rideout and Effie Mills. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Mary; sons Leon (Jacquie), St. John's, Tyrone (Sharon), Logan Lake BC, and Richard (Colleen), Fleur De Lys; daughters Mary Kentz (Al), Fort MacMurray, AB, Donna Sacrey (Augustus), Pacquet, Judy Traverse (Edward) and Cathy Breen (Martin) all of Fleur De Lys; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law Alice Mills, Botwood; brother-in-law Reginald Ryan, Springdale and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Tom Duffenais conducted the funeral mass at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Fleur De Lys on Saturday, January 3, 2004. Pallbearers were his children Donna, Leon, Judy, Tyrone, Richard and Cathy the crossbearer was daughter Mary.

BURTON, LEANDER ROLAND
Passed away January 4, 2004, Leander Roland Burton at the Valley Vista Complex, Springdale. Predeceased by wife of 34 years, Stella. Left to mourn Wife Olive; son Vaden (Sherry), Springdale; daughters Salome (Edwin), Beaumont, Barbara (Robert), Robert's Arm, Hope (Claude), Beaumont, Velma (Ernest), Robert's Arm and Catherine (Rex), Cornwall, ON. Also leaving to mourn sister Meta Rice, Port Anson; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Noble conducted the funeral services at the United Church and Cemetery, Beaumont on Thursday, January 8, 2004. Pallbearers were Derrick Short, Keith Oake, Phillip Burton, Kurt Burton, Janet Burton and Faye Brown.

GALE, HAROLD FREDERICK
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Frederick Gale, age 75, announce his passing at the BVPHC, Baie Verte on Monday, January 5, 2004. Predeceased by his parents William and Minnie Gale; brothers Gilbert, James and Cyril and great grandson Adrian. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Dulcie; daughter Gloria Hurley (Wayne), Westport; sons Brian (Glenda), Marathon, ON and Robert (Lisa), Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren Nellie Easton (Paul), Reneta Keefe (Chris), Larry Ryan, Ashley and Braden; great granddaughter Maria Easton; sister Rosie Stuckless (Wilfred) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. David Russell conducted the funeral services at St. Peter's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Westport on Thursday, January 8, 2004. Pallbearers were Norm Gale, Benny Gale, Roy Jacobs, Morley Jacobs, Harris Gavin and Jason Jacobs.

TOMS, CYRIL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cyril Lloyd Toms announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Centre on January 5, 2004 at the age of 82. Predeceased by father, mother brother, sister, son-in-law and grandson. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Stella; son Craig (Cathy), King's Point; daughters Junita (Harry), Dildo, Kay (Melvin), Silverdale and Lorraine, Springdale. Also leaving to mourn nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; niece Janet (Ron); brother-in-law Ern and sister-in-law Mable. Rev. R. Lodge conducted the funeral service at the United Church on January 8, 2004. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers were Melvin Upwards, Guy Bartlett, Ronald Gillingham, Ross Coish. TOMS-BURTON, HAZEL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hazel Toms-Burton announce her passing at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor on January 6, 2003 at the age of 84. Predeceased by first husband Augustus Toms; parents, three sisters and one brother. Left with fond and loving memories is husband Woodrow Burton. Also leaving to mourn sister Ruby (Chesley), Baie Verte and Gertie (Pleman), La Scie; brothers Malcolm (Shirley), Beachside, Augustus, Gander and John (Grace), Pacquet and sister-in-law Vera, Glovertown. Rev. George Kean conducted the funeral services at Zion United Church and Cemetery, La Scie on January 8, 2004. Pallbearers were Monty Norman, Rick Norman, Christopher Pollard, Brad Norman, David Pollard and Keith Pollard.

FOOTE, EVELYN CLARA
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Evelyn Clara Foote, age 87, announce her passing at the Dr. J.I. O'Connell Centre, Corner Brook on Saturday, January 10, 2004. Predeceased by husband Alexander; parents Frederick and Lily Prole; son-in-law Ernest Green; brothers George (Edith), Lemuel (Louisa) and Maxwell; sisters Annie Prole and Jessiemine Noble (Cecil) and sister-in-law Lucy Osbourne (Maxwell). Left to forever cherish their wonderful memories are daughter Anne Green, Corner Brook; special Grandson Stephen; granddaughters Louise Byrne and Diane King (Dan); great grandchildren Corey, Jamie, Jordan and Danika; great great grandchildren Kevin. Liam and Justin; sister-in-law Jacqueline Prole; brothers-in-law William Foote, Chesley Foote (Myrtis), Allan Foote (Helen) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev George Kean conducted the funeral services at Zion United Church and Cemetery, La Scie on Tuesday, January 13, 2004. Pallbearers were John Hoddinott, Harvey Martin, George Gray, Junior Martin, Richard Martin and Ted Morey.

HEWLETT, JOAN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Hewlett announce her passing at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor on January 11, 2004 at the age of 75. Mrs. Hewlett was a member of the Springdale Lioness Club, Grace United Church Women, Green Bay Health Care Auxiliary and the Women's Institute. Predeceased by he husband Ford in 1982. Left with fond and loving memories are son Dwight (Marina), Springdale; daughters Gloria St. Onge (George), Halifax and Patricia MacDonald (Mario), Springdale.Also leaving to mourn grandchildren Timothy St. Onge, Kristan Hewlett and Gregory Hewlett; brothers Maxwell and Pearce Goudie; sister-in-law Betty and Cyril Blundon. Rev. Betty Robbins, Rev. Patricia Melindy and Rev. Marion Davies conducted the funeral services at the Grace United Church and Cemetery on January 13, 2004. Pallbearers were Ruth Butt, Barb Butt, Barb Connelly, Dianne Buchanan, Ann Sparkes, Lisa Goudie, Susan Edison and Delores Coish - members of the Springdale Lioness Club.

ANTHONY, OLIVE M.
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Olive M. Anthony announce her passing at Valley Vista, Springdale on January 14, 2004 at the age of 79. Olive was a member of W.M. Missionary. Predeceased by son Georgie; mother, father; two brothers and two sisters. Left with fond and loving memories are spouse Lewis; sons John (Sherry), Marathon, ON, Jerry (Rona), Hampton, NB, Roy, Marathon, ON and Harry (Wavy), Triton; daughters Hazel, Hampton, NB, Pearl (Gary Roberts), Triton, Marie (Herman Fudge), Marathon, ON and Janice (Sid Milley), Robert's Arm. Also leaving to mourn 18 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister Bride (Reg) and brothers Garland, Gordon and Scott. Pastor Wayne Noble conducted the funeral services at the Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Robert's Arm on January 18, 2004. Pallbearers were Ralph Lush, Gary Roberts, Keith Roberts, Gilbert Roberts, Cedric Milley and LeRoy Anthony.

DWYER, MICHAEL JOHN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael John Dwyer, age 84, announce his passing at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor on Sunday, January 18, 2003. Predeceased by his parents George and Jessie Dwyer; children Anthony and Caroline; brothers James and Cecil and sister Irene Roberts. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Daisy; nephew whom he raised as a son Craig (Kimberly); grandchildren Jeremy and Ryan; brother Stanley (Marie); sister Mary Stuckless; many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Marilyn Avery conducted the funeral service at Riverside United Church, Burlington on Wednesday, January 21, 2004. Interment followed at Perry's Cove Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Perry, Harry Perry, Jerry Perry, Earl Perry, Wesley Matthews and Bryan Elliott.

GOUDIE, GARY REX, Burlington
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gary Rex Goudie, age 43, announce his passing at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Tuesday, January 20, 2004. Predeceased by sister Lorraine, father-in-law Wilfred Bartlett and brother-in-law Dennis Bartlett. Left to forever cherish their wonderful memories are his wife Gail and their children Lacey and Zackery; parents Roy and Lillian Goudie; brothers Dwight (Tana), Mark (Sherry) and Peter (Lisa); sisters Sharon Winsor (Kevin) and Cindy Giles (Colin); mother-in-law Stella Bartlett; brothers-in-law Roger Bartlett (Diane), Dean Bartlett (Kim) and Colin Bartlett (Susan); sisters-in-law Nada Dicks (Harold), Verna Mitchell (Scott) Patsy Antle (Roy), Connie Clarke (Eugene) and Judy Bartlett; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Ben Brown and Mrs. Marilyn Avery conducted the funeral service at the Bayview Pentecostal Church, Middle Arm on Saturday, January 24, 2004. Interment followed at Riverside Untied Cemetery, Burlington. Pallbearers were Mark Goudie, Kevin Winsor, Eugene Clarke, Lloyd Foster, Guy Mitchell and Clayton Dawe.

NEWMAN, CECIL OLIVER, Woodstock (formerly of Harbour Deep)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecil Oliver Newman, age 68, announce his passing at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor on Tuesday, January 20, 2004. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Tamara Newman and sister Catherine Newman. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Daphne; son Morris (Debbie), Woodstock; daughters Maxine Ropson (Kirby), Baie Verte, Rhonda Loder (Terry), River of Ponds and Gaye Ropson (Ricky), St Anthony; grandchildren Ian, Robyn, Mason, Jordan and Brandon; brother Freeman Newman (Greta), Bide Arm and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Hubert Tucker conducted the funeral services at Faith United Church and Cemetery, Woodstock on Friday, January 23, 2004. Pallbearers were Terry Loder, Kirby Ropson, Ricky Robson, Roland Pinksen, Douglas Loder and Leonard Loder.

WINSOR, ADA GLADYS
Passed away January 24, 2004 after a lengthy illness, Ada Gladys Winsor, age 83 of Triton. Predeceased by husband Raymond. Left to mourn are sons Guy (Primrose), Ernest (Winnie) and Ivan (Wavey) all of Triton; daughters Vida (Glen Roberts) and Bonnie (Carl Roberts) both of Triton. Also leaving to mourn sister Daisy Vincent; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Capts. Darlene and Rex Colbourne conducted the funeral at the Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery, Triton on Tuesday, January 27. 2004. Pallbearers were six grandchildren Matthew Winsor, Marsha Winsor, Penny Winsor, Lana Roberts. Laura-Lee Roberts and Wendy Fudge

BARTLETT, SIDNEY FORD
Passed peacefully away at GBHC, Springdale on January 24, 2004 after a long illness, Sidney Bartlett. Sidney was 79 years old. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Maude Bartlett, brother Ernest and sister Laura. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife Mildred; son Kevin (Loretta); grandsons Jason (Sherri) and Kirk (Janet and her daughter Taylor). Also leaving to mourn are brother Douglas; sister Janet, nephews Ernest and Julian and many other relatives and friends. Rev. Lodge conducted the funeral service at the Rattling Brook United Church on January 28, 2004. Pallbearers were Jason Bartlett, Kirk Bartlett, Steve Harris, Bryce Dawe, Garfield Noseworthy and Baxter Toms.

HEATH, REGINALD
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reginald Heath announce his passing at GBHC, Springdale on January 26, 2004 at the age of 75. Mr. Heath was a member of the United Church and retired from fishing. Predeceased by parents Sidney and Lucy, on sister and two brothers. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Valera; daughters Julie Chatman (Wallace) and Sue Burton (Lawrence) both of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn sisters Maud Paddock (Enos), Nellie Paddock (Otto) and Wilhelmina Rideout (Roy - deceased); brother Amos Heath (Yvonne); special friend Melanie Turner; three grandchildren, Jason and Jodi-Sue Chatman and Ivan Burton. Rev. Barbara Noble conducted the funeral services at the Beaumont United Church and Cemetery on January 29, 2004. Pallbearers were Leslie Hurley, Gary Rideout, Roger Heath, and three grandchildren Jason Chatman, Jodi-Sue Chatman and Ivan Burton.

CORBETT EDWARD (NED) Sr.
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward (Ned) Corbett Sr., age 60, announce his passing at his family residence in Brent's Cove on Friday, January 30, 2004. Predeceased by his parents James and Winnifred Corbett; sister Margaret Sullivan; brothers-in-law Gerry Sullivan, Matthew Miller, Francis Sullivan and Leonard Clance; sister-in-law Margaret Corbett; uncles Richard (Dick) Corbett and William Corbett. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Bernice; daughters Colleen Sullivan (Glen), Brent's Cove, Melissa Corbett, North Vancouver, BC and Rosetta Corbett-Cox (Robert), Lower Sackville, NS; sons Jimmy (Beverly) Fort McMurray, AB, Terry (Cathy), Katy, Texas, Ronnie (Jamie), La Scie and Scott Halifax, NS; grandchildren Chrissie and Kaitlyn Sullivan; Christopher and Cameron Cox, Brady and Jordan Corbett, Telia Butler and Samantha Corbett-Petite and Sarah and Ales Corbett. Also leaving to mourn are brother John (Jack) Corbett; sisters Mary Miller, Theresa Sullivan, Philomena Hedderson (Ron), Joanne Clance, Jane Haas (Greg) and Annie Haas (Kevin); many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends, Father Tom Duffenais and Father Linus Coady conducted the funeral mass at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Brent's Cove on Wednesday, February 4, 2004. Pallbearers were Michael Butler, Albert Byrne, Albert Sullivan, Ignatius Matthews, Walter Matthews and Ron Giles and the crossbearer was Stan Corbett.

YOUNG, ALMA LOUISE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alma Louise Young announce her passing at the GBHC, Springdale on January 31, 2004 at the age of 81. Alma was a member of the Salvation Army Home League and the Green Bay Hospital Auxiliary. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Agnes Smith and five brothers Edward, Baxter, William, Alton and Robert. Left with fond and loving memories are husband Archibald; sons Kenneth (Edna), Baie Verte, Alonzo (Linda), Springdale and Orvan (Angus), Elliott lake, ON; daughters Golda Young (Francis), Springdale, Lorna Caravan (Ivan), Guelph, ON and Joanne Critch (Baxter), Thompson, MB. Also leaving to mourn 15 grandchildren Sherry, Darren, Lorne, Janice, Kerrie, Dianne, Todd, Ann-Marie, Penny-Ann, Shane, Jeremy, Jason, Justin, Jade and Shannon; 14 great grandchildren; six sisters Olive, Ethel, Maxine, Nellie, Jean and Margaret and two brothers Fred and Gerald. Major Gary Butt conducted the funeral services at the Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery on February 2, 2004. Pallbearers were Steadman Young, George Locke, Elmo Jenkins, Keith Russell, Chesley Young and Ron Furlong.
