Sam retired from Advocate Mines in Baie Verte. Predeceased by wife, Shirley; sister: Asenith Clarke and brother, Cecil Hollett. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alberta Blanche Hewlett announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Complex in Springdale on August 16, 2008 at the age of 98. Blanche was a member of the Salvation Army, Springdale Corps. Predeceased by husband, Samuel Raymond Hewlett, two infant children, Timothy Pierce and Velma Jean. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons, Chesley Wilson Hewlett (Maud) of South Brook, Major Scott Ford Hewlett (Aqui) of Anshan City, China and daughter, Phyllis Ruby Hellier (Baxter) of Springdale. She had 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
