MITCHELL, FRANCIS (FRANK)
Middle Arm

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frank Mitchell, age 91, announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Center on Sat., Aug. 2, 2003. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Clara Mitchell; brother, Clarence Mitchell and sister, Jessie Thomas. Left with fond and loving memories are wife, Margaret; children, Bond (Alfreda); Arthur (Audrey), Effie Noble (Fred), Raymond (Bertha), Lottie Janes (Herb), Jessie Thomas (Scott), Dorothy Noble (Junior), Harvey (Nellie), Kay Noble (Don); sister-in-law, Effie Mitchell; brother-in-law, Raymond Thomas, 34 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Leighton Foster conducted the funeral service at Bayview Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Middle Arm on Monday, August 4, 2003. Pallbearers were his four sons, Bond, Arthur, Raymond and Harvey.

BRIDGER, PLEMAN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pleman Bridger announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Complex, Springdale on August 3, 2003 at the age of 92. Predeceased by wife Winnie and daughter Sadie. Left with fond and loving memories are son Neil (Norma), Brighton, daughters Muriel (Gordon Heath), Springdale, Shirley, St John's, Norma (Ross Cave), St John's, Alberta (Gene Burgess), Pennsylvania, Joyce (Clayton Butt), Pouch Cove and Rose, Upper Gullies; 20 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and one great grandchild.

JONES, MURIEL ISABEL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Muriel Isabel Jones, age 91, announce her passing at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Center, Botwood on Monday, August 4, 2003. Predeceased by husband Cyril; parents Kenneth and Dora Mills. Left with fond and loving memories are sons Roy (Pam), Ontario, Melvin, Deer lake, Elmo (Leah), Springdale and Ken (Barbara), Baie Verte; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Marilyn Avery conducted the funeral services at Bethney United Church and Cemetery, Baie Verte on Thursday, August 7, 2003. Pallbearers were Kerry Jones, Barry Jones, Harry Stockley, Bob Boyles, Clayton Hewlett and Calvin Hewlett

SULLIVAN JAMES ANTHONY
It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Anthony Sullivan, age 78, announce his passing at the BVPHC, Baie Verte on Monday, August 11, 2003. Predeceased by parents Peter and Bridget Sullivan; son-in-law Gid Regular; brothers Francis Sullivan and Joseph Dugaas. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Bridget; sons Kevin (Annie), Brent's Cove, Joe (Chris), Lynden, Washington, Pius (Sandy), Nanimo, BC, Gord (Laura), Glen (Colleen), all of Brent's Cove and Cecil (Carol), Nanimo, BC; daughters Ellen Sullivan, Port Hardy, BC, Olivera Kozy (Ed), Flin Flon, MB, Josie Roland (Dayne), Port Hardy, BC, Maryann Regular, Carrie Clarke (Todd), all of Ming's bight; 24 grandchildren including special grandson Bobby; four great grandchildren and special family friend Debbie Domalain. Also leaving to mourn brother Anthony Sullivan; sisters-in-law Theresa Sullivan, Shirley Dugas, Alice Sullivan, Elizabeth Sullivan (Claude); brothers-in-law Patrick Haas, Gregory Haas (Jane), Gordon Haas (Rita), James Haas (Madeline) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Tom Duffenais conducted the funeral service at St. John the Apostle R.C. Church and Cemetery, Brent's Cove on Thursday, August 14, 2003. Pallbearers were Kevin Haas, Gord Sullivan, Joe Sullivan, Glen Sullivan, Pius Sullivan, Todd Clarke and the crossbearers were Tiffany Sullivan and Gerry Clarke.

JOY, PAULINE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pauline Joy announce her passing at the GBHC, Springdale on August 16, 2003 at the age of 48. Predeceased by parents Walter and Mae Joy; sisters Loretta and Lillian and brothers Tommy and Charlie. Left with fond and loving memories are brothers Francis (Mildred), St. Patrick's and Walter (Sandra), Springdale; sisters Veronica (Lawrence Baker), Little Bay, Leona (Jack Baker), St. Patrick's, Catherine Joy, Springdale, Pat (Reg Mercer), Labrador City and Clara (Pat Carroll), Labrador City. Also leaving to mourn brother-in-law Lloyd Bartlett and special friends June Verge and Alicia Strickland. Father Tom Duffenais conducted the funeral service at the R.C. Church and Cemetery, St. Patrick's on August 18, 2003. Pallbearers were Paul Snow, David Dobbin, Doug Joy, Andy Melvin, David Butt and Steve Walker.

RIDEOUT, CLAUDETTE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Claudette Rideout announce her passing in a tragic accident on August 17, 2003 at the age of 61. Claudette was a member of the Long Island Salvation Army Corp. Predeceased by father Harold King and brother Ralph King. Left with fond and loving memories are spouse Albert Rideout; sons Dwight (Lynne), Petawawa, ON, Owen (Roseann), Ajax, On and Trevor (Sheila) Scarborough, ON; daughters Roxann (Larry), Winnipeg, MB and Paulette (Harold), Lethbridge, NL. Also leaving to mourn mother Rowena King, Little Bay Islands; sisters and brothers; seven grandchildren and an expected twin in October. Captains Colbourne conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army on August 20, 2003. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Long Island. Pallbearers were Bronson Rideout, Eric Rideout, Frank Rideout, Eric Stephenson, Claude Oake and Dennis Grimes.

WELSHMAN, LEAH MAE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leah Mae Welshman, age 81, announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Complex, Springdale on Monday, August 18, 2003. Predeceased by husband Bert; parents Henry and Ethel Foss; son Bruce; daughter-in-law June; sister Harriet; brothers Bobby, Henry and Bert and brother-in-law Harvey. Left with fond and loving memories are companion Ambrose Seymour; sons George, South Dakota, Ford (Beverly), Labrador City, Norman (Leona), La Scie, David (Stella), Ming's Bight, Robert (Louise), Pasadena, Roy (Ann), St. John's, Howard (Jaunita), Snook's Arm; daughters Margaret, Springdale, Ruby, Vancouver, BC, Daisy (Chris), Victoria, BC, Ina (Don), Greta (Ian), all of Calgary, AB; daughter-in-law Debra, Victoria, BC; 28 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are the Seymour family; sister Evelyn, Snook's Arm; brothers Ray (Ella), St. John's and Cecil (Maisie), Baie Verte; sister-in-law Evelyn, La Scie and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. George Kean conducted the funeral service at Zion United Church and Cemetery, La Scie on Thursday, August 21, 2003 Pallbearers were Norman Welshman, Bob Welshman, Howard Osborne, Bob Gray, Wayne Foss and Ray Wimbledon.

BOUZANE, FRANCIS
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Francis Bouzane announce his passing at the GBHC, Springdale on August 20, 2003 at the age of 83. Francis was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and was retired from heavy equipment operation. Predeceased by mother Cassie; mother Agnes; father Richard; daughter Cassie Bouzane; brothers Father Greg Pumphrey, Frank Pumphrey, Aloysius Bouzane, Fred Bouzane and sister Marie Bouzane. Left with fond and loving memories are spouse Lucy; sons Greg (Angela), Little Bay, Francis Jr. (Blanch), Cambridge, ON, Fred (Moureen), St. Albans, Wayne, St. John's, Dan (Georgina), Little Bay, Bas, Richard Barbara Sue), Bruce (Sue) of Little Bay and Paul; daughters Donna Evans (George), Grand Falls-Windsor and Cassie Mercer (Darin), Little Bay. Also leaving to mourn sisters, Sister Eileen and Gertrude Bouzane; brother Walter Pumphrey; 18 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends. Funeral services were at the R.C. Church and Cemetery, St Patrick's on August 23, 2003. Pallbearers were his nine sons

MITCHELL, FAITH HANNAH-MARIE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Faith Hannah-Marie Mitchell announce her passing at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor on August 21, 2003. Faith Hannah-Marie was a newborn. Left with fond and loving memories are her parents Allison Blundon and Eugene Mitchell. Also leaving to mourn are her sister Jessica; grandparents Hilda and Junior Mitchell, Springdale, Anne Martin and Fred Murphy, Grand Bank and Dale Blundon, Marystown. Pastor Mercer conducted the funeral service at the Living Waters Church on August 24, 2003. Interment was at the Keystone Cemetery. pallbearers were grandfathers Dale Blundon and Fred Murphy

PARSONS, FERN VIOLET
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fern Violet Parsons, age 52, announce her passing at the PVPHC, Baie Verte on Wednesday, August 27, 2003. Predeceased by parents Charles and Cecily Earle; brothers Bruce and Ralph; sister Fay and brother-in-law Ronald Patey. Left with fond and loving memories are husband James; daughter Shawna; brothers Freeman (Phyllis) all of Seal Cove, Clyde (Elaine), Woody Point; sisters Audrey Patey (Weldon Decker), St Anthony, Jean Wells, Brampton, ON, Yvonne Parsons (Wilfred), Toronto, On and Gaye Elliott (Reginald), Brown's Arm and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Captains Paul and Michelle Blake conducted the funeral services at the Salvation Army Church and Cemetery, Seal Cove on Saturday, August 30, 2003. Pallbearers were Clem Osbourne, Willie Rice, Bill Parsons, Grayson Rice, Alymer Osbourne and Wallace Chaulk.
