TAYLOR, MARY GRACE
January 6, 1930 - April 1, 2009

Passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord from the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre on April 1, 2009, Mary Grace Taylor, age 79. She is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Edna Heath, an infant son, four brothers and three sisters. She leaves to mourn her husband - Cyril, sons - Jerry (Brenda), Port-au-Port, NL, Boyce, Lloydminster, AB, David (Tammy), Robert's Arm, NL, Charlie (Sharon), Springdale, NL, and Terry (Denise), Corner Brook, NL. Daughters - Alice (Terry) Ryan, Campbell River, BC, Nellie (Everett) Roberts, Triton, NL, and Ruth (Henry) Hewlett, Miles Cove, NL. She also leaves to mourn 25 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, three brothers - Charlie, Bert and Ford, two sisters - Shirley and Rowena, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Robert Paddock officiated at the funeral service at Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm. Pallbearers were grandchildren - Stephanie Ryan, Bobby Taylor, Heather Whalen, Justin Taylor, Bridget Miller and Matthew Hewlett. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Leander Hewlett of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.

ANSTEY, ROLAND
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roland F.B. Anstey announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on April 2, 2009 at the age of 61. Roland Anstey retired from the lumber industry. Predeceased by parents, Ralph and Stella Anstey; sister, Blanche, father-in-law, Hutley Sheppard and brothers-in-law, Allen Sheppard and Fred Guy. Left with fond and loving memories are his loving wife, Mildred; son, Scott (Tracy) and daughters, Bonnie (Keith), Rhoda (Corey) and Sharon (Dean). Also leaving to mourn grandchildren, Matthew Anstey, Scotty Prouse, Brady Prouse, Toni Marie Anstey, Courtney Osmond, Shania Osmond, Hayley Roberts, Jade Armstrong and Jasmine Prouse; sisters, Annie (Harold Hillyard), Lillian (Baxter Chipp), Geraldine (Selby McKay), Olive (Ron Barker), Marion Guy and Georgina Sheppard; brothers, Ralph, Bert and Art; mother-in-law, Joan Sheppard and a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Jerry Weir assisted by Reverend George Gard conducted the funeral service at the United Church in Sheppardville on April 6, 2009. Interment was at the United Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Osmond, Corey Prouse, Dean Armstrong, Scott Anstey, Keith Noble and Steve Anstey. Flower bearer was Harold Hillyard. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

PADDOCK, CHARLOTTE
It is with great sadness that the family of late Charlotte Maud Paddock announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on April 3, 2009 at the age of 85. Predeceased by parents: Stanley and Lucy Heath; brothers, Alex, Reginald and Cromwell; sister, Martha and brother-in-law, Roy. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband, Enos and daughters, Mildred Hurley (Leslie) of Beaumont and Lenora Smith (Grant) of Goose Bay. Also leaving to mourn, sisters: Nellie (Otto), Wilhelmina; brother, Amos (Yvonne); grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Logan and great grandchild, Lillian, and sisters-in-law, Valera and Gladys. Joan Brinston conducted the funeral service at the United Church in Beaumont on April 7, 2009. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leslie Hurley, Grant Smith, Max Roberts, Maxwell Paddock, Ralph Paddock and Gary Rideout. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

EVANS, MICHAEL MEREDITH
It is with great sadness the family of the late Michael Meredith Evans announces his passing at Montreal on April 5, 2009 at the age of 67. Predeceased by parents, Dr. Wilferd and Eileen Meredith Evans and sister, Caroline. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Claudette of Montreal and his sister, Susanne Evans of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn, brothers-in-law, Eugene (Patricia), Romeo (Viotte), Cecile (Rosaire Martel) and sisters-in-law, Murielle and Rachel Sergerie (Tony Lively), as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held at the Chapel of Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes in Montreal on April 9, 2008. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

COLBOURNE, FREDERICK
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Jacob Colbourne announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Complex in Springdale on April 11, 2009 at the age of 84. Fred retired in 1989 from FPI. Predeceased by parents, William and Annie Colbourne; wife, Mae Colbourne; brothers, Arthur, Thomas and Chesley; sisters, Lulu, Una, and Olive; and son-in-law, Joseph Moores. Left with fond and loving memories are sons, Harold (Glenis) of Pilley's Island and Keith of Fort McMurray, AB; daughters, Alma (Andrew) of Clarenville, NL, and Bernetta of New York. Also leaving to mourn: grandchildren, Brad, Dwight (Dana), Julia, Elizabeth, Adam and Rebecca (Jason) and great-grandchildren, Noah and Kelly; and sister-in-law, Ada Colbourne. Captain's Dwayne and Brandi LeDrew conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in Pilley's Island on April 15, 2009. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Warr, Kevin Anthony, Craig Colbourne, Woodrow Rice, Rodger Whelan and Gerald Whelan. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to James Maidment, Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

HEWITT, ANNIE ELIZABETH
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Elizabeth Hewitt, age 75, announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Saturday, April 11, 2009. Predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Selena Ricketts; brothers, Alex Ricketts, and Leslie Ricketts; parents-in-law, William and Ida Hewitt; siblings-in-law, Dulcie Hewitt, Alex Hewitt, Amanda Ricketts, George Hewitt, Maxwell Hewitt (Phoebe), Elizabeth Jacobs (Frederick), Pearl Jacobs (Will), Lovetta Warren (Pearce), Eliza Gavin (Hayward), Phoebe Decker (Havelock), William Hewitt, and Robert Evans. WIMBLETON, DORIS ELIZABETH
Slipped peacefully away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, the late Doris Elizabeth Wimbleton, age 87, formerly of Shoe Cove, NL. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas Wimbleton; parents, Jacob and Lavinia Martin; sisters, Irene Newbury, and Maisie Martin; siblings-in-law, Ruby Martin, and Oswald Burton. Pallbearers were nephews, Glen Newbury, Ray Wimbleton, Chris Martin, Henry Wimbleton, Junior Martin, and Gerald Wimbleton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

WHALEN, MICHAEL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Whalen announce his passing at the Milton District Hospital in Milton, Ontario on April 18, 2009 at the age of 67. Michael Whalen was a member of the United Church of Canada. Predeceased by his parents, William and Clementine Whalen and nephew, Gregory Hart. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Bernice Whalen, nee Rowsell; son, Philip Whalen (Nicole) of Cambridge, Ontario and daughters, Carolyn Whalen of Milton, Ontario, Janice Henry of Milton, Ontario and Dana Wilson (Jeff Ratz) of Milton, Ontario. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren, Alexandra, Julianna, Brandon, Mackenzi, Michael and Summer. Michael will be dearly missed by his six sisters and three brothers. Captains Dwayne and Brandi LeDrew conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in Pilley's Island on April 24, 2009. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rodger Whalen, Maurice Whalen, Scott Whalen, John Ryan, Cyril Tizzard and Pat Williams. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral.

MORRIS-LEDREW, FLORENCE
Baie Verte, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Morris-Ledrew, age 81, announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre on Thursday, April 23, 2009. Predeceased by her first husband - Gordon Morris; her second husband - Whitfield Ledrew; mother - Sarah Boland; sisters - Bernice Boland, and Marion Driscoll. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Naomi Oxford announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on April 26, 2009 at the age of 86. Lillian was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by husband, Maxwell; daughter, Beulah; sister, Hilda and brothers, Andrew, Dorman and Stanley. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons, Ryburn (Margaret) of Springdale, Cyril (Leone, deceased) of Little Bay Islands, Bruce (Melba, deceased) of Little Bay Island, Gerald (Barbara) of Fort McMurray; daughters, Joyce (Ed Chaytor) of Pickering, Ontario, Jane (Don Clarke) of Toronto, Ontario, Grace (Garland Foss) of Springdale, Irma (Dempsey Wiseman) of Corner Brook and Glenda (Keith Fudge) of Fort McMurray. FIFIELD, GERALD KINGSLEY
May 1, 1943 - April 29, 2009

Passed away after a lengthy illness on April 29, 2009 at Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor, Gerald Fifield of Pilley's Island, NL. He was predeceased by mother, Grace (Fifield) Whyatt and stepfather, Arthur Whyatt. Gerald entered full time ministry in 1975 as a Corps Officer of the Salvation Army and later with the United Church as a Lay Pastoral Minister. Left to mourn are: sisters, Vera (Kitchener), Cynthia (Pilley's Island), Sharon (C.B.S.), brothers, Warren (Labrador City), Colin (Pilley's Island), Christopher (Stephenville), 57 nephews and nieces, as well as step-brothers and step-sisters, and a large circle of relatives and friends. Captains Dwayne and Brandi LeDrew conducted the funeral service on Friday, May 1, 2009 from the Salvation Army Citadel, Pilley's Island. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Pilley's Island. Pallbearers were nieces, Yvette Ryan, Tasha Whyatt, nephews, Richard Roberts, Oliver Whyatt and friends, Garry Payne and Woodrew Rice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Leander Hewlett of Green Bay Funeral Home.
