It is with great sadness that the family of the late Aubrey Dyer, age 84, announce his passing on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at the BVPHC. Predeceased by: his parents; son-in-law - Ford Dyer and Harvey Blanchard; grandson - Terry Wayne Taylor; sisters - Agnes Hibbs and Mabel Park and brother - Ross Dyer. Left with fond and loving memories are: wife - Olive; sons - Lester (Mildred), Sunnyside, Welton (Sharon), Ben (Eva), Henry (Patsy), Victor (Mary), all of Ming's Bight and Lewis (Margaret), Ridgewood, ON; daughters - Ethel (Derek) Wall, Mount Pearl, Beulah Dyer, La Scie, Melissa Blanchard (Eldred Regular), Ming's Bight, Florence (Claude) Regular, Ming's Bight, Effie (Michael) Drover, Ming's Bight and Cordella (Lloyla) Matthews, Harbour Round; 37 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn: step-sisters - Hazel (Jim) Walters and Beulah (Don) MacRury, Sydney, NS; brother - Albert Dyer, Botwood; step-brothers George (Betty) Dyer, Sydney, NS and Gordon (Bridget) Dyer, Sydney, NS, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Derrick Gale conducted the funeral service at Calvary Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Ming's Bight on Saturday, April 7, 2001. Pallbearers were sons - Lester, Henry, Ben, Victor, Raymond and son-in-law - Michael Drover.

Passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour while attending a worship service at Zion United Church, La Scie on Sunday, April 8, 2001, Clara Joyce Welshman, age 65. Predeceased by her parents; brother - Wilbert; stepmother - Annie Curtis; foster parents - Jesse and Emma Gray and foster brother - Jimmy Gray. Left to forever cherish their wonderful memories are: husband Harvey; daughter - Christine (Junior) Martin; sons - Lewis, Wayne (Elizabeth), Malcolm (Bessie), and Rex, all of Shoe Cove; grand children - Jamie, Wade and Linda Martin, John Wayne and Jarvis Welshman, Cory and Craig Welshman, Jeremy and Jasper Hawkins and great-granddaughter - Jalisa Martin. Also leaving to mourn: brothers - Malcolm (Elsie) Curtis, Raymond (Dot) Curtis, Lloyd (Lucy) and Ernest Curtis; sister - Goldie (David) White; sister-in-law - Betty Curtis; foster brothers - Raymond (Marina) Gray, David (Dot) and Bert (Lynette) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. George Kean conducted the funeral services at the First United Church and Cemetery, Shoe Cove on Wednesday, April 11, 2001. Pallbearers were James Foster, Robert Gray, Willie Gray, Leander Martin, George Hodditnott and Brian Martin.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Austin, age 87, announce her passing at the BVPHC on April 13, 2001. Predeceased by her first husband - Jasper Dicks; second husband - Gordon Austin son - Merrick Dicks; granddaughters - Audrey Shiner and Cassie Curry and grandson Wade Dicks. Left with fond and loving memories are: daughter Sadie Shiner Middle Arm; sons - Maxwell (Cassie) Dicks, St. John's, Leonard (Myril), Springdale, Harold (Nada) Dicks, Middle Arm, Nelson (Loretta) Dicks, Inuvik, NWT and Howard (Josephine) Dicks, Baie Verte. Also leaving to mourn: sisters - Ida (Sidney) Chipp and Pearl (Sandy) Rowsell; brothers - Wesley (Gwen) Robinson, Norman (Blanche) and Fred (Mae) Robinson; 30 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Frank Pollard conducted the funeral service at Bayview Pentecostal Tabernacle on Sunday, April 15, 2001. Interment followed at the Apostolic Faith Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons - Maxwell, Leonard, Harold, Nelson, Howard and grandson Danny Dicks.

BURTON, FLOSSY,
LEWISPORTE (Formerly of La Scie)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Flossy Burton, age 79, announce her passing on Sunday, April 15, 2001 at the BVPHC. Mrs Burton retired from National Sea Products, La Scie in 1978. She was a member of the Philadpelhia Pentecostal Church, Lewisporte. She was predeceased by: her husband - Dorman; son Hayward; Grandson Terry; brothers - Claude, Louis, Clayton and Dexter; sisters - Marjorie, Joyce and Daisy. Left with fond and loving memories are: sons - Wilson (Winnie), Pacquet, Perry (Shirley), Lewisporte, Glenn (Vida), Lewisporte and Wade (Tassie), Lewisporte; daughters - Clarice Mills, Brampton, ON and Wanda (Danny) Izyci, Brampton, ON. Also left to mourn: sister Clarice (Ralph) Burton, Pacquet; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Roger Combden assisted by Pastors Parmiter and Winsor conducted the funeral services at Bethel Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, La Scie on Wednesday, April 18, 2001. Pallbearers were sons - Perry, Glenn, Wade, Wilson and grandsons - Craig Burton, Martin Burton and Stephen Burton.

CASSELL, ALEXANDER,
BAIE VERTE

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of the late Alexander Cassell, age 89, at the Dorset Manor, Baie Verte on Sunday, April 15, 2001. He was a resident of the Dorset Manor for the past 11 years. Predeceased by: his parents Nathaniel and Rachel Cassell; brothers - Daniel Cassell and Adolphus Cassell; step-brothers - Ford Budgell and Harvey Budgell; sisters - Lydia Williams, Elizabeth White and Effie Cassell. Left with fond and loving memories are: nephew - Roy (Elsie) Williams, Springdale and sister-in-law - Marion Budgell, Grand Falls-Windsor. Also leaving to mourn are his dear and special friends the Dorset Manor residents and staff and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Robert Parsons conducted the funeral service at White Dove Funeral Home, Baie Verte on Wednesday, April 18, 2001. Interment followed at Trinity Pentecostal Cemetery, Baie Verte.

STUCKLESS, DAVID JAMES,
COACHMAN'S COVE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late David James Stuckless, age 69, announce his passing at the BVPHC on Sunday, April 15, 2001. Predeceased by: his parents William and Jane Stuckless; brother - Michael Stuckless and sisters Elizabeth Phillpott and Margaret Phillpott. Left with fond and loving memories are: his many nieces and nephews, his dear and special friends the Baie Verte Manor residents and staff with whom he resided for the past nine years, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Edward Brophy conducted the funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Coachman's Cove on Wednesday, April 18, 2001. Pallbearers were members of the Royal Canadian Legion: Ewen Gillingham, Eric Lacey, Lorne Hynes, Malcolm Norman, Leo O'Reilly and Eric Pennell and the crossbearer was John T. Packwood.

BAIE VERTE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edith Melba Robinson, age 63, announce her passing st the BVPHC on Tuesday, April 17, 2001. Edith owned and operated the Baie Verte Foodland since August, 1988. Predeceased by her parents - Ralph and Lily Belle Randell and brother Rayfield. Left with fond and loving memories are: husband - Maxwell; son - Thomas (Gertie), Baie Verte; daughters - Marilyn (Roy) Osbourne, Seal Cove, Beverly Gerald) Gillingham, Tumbler Ridge, BC, Janice (Barry) Dicks, Baie Verte and Karen (Wayne) Boyle, Tumbler Ridge, BC; grandchildren - Richard Gillingham, Lori Gillingham, Tonya Dicks, Jennifer Robinson, Timothy Dicks and Thomas J. Robinson. Also leaving to mourn: sister - Marion (William) Cramm, Margurite (Bert) Boone, Helen (Ross) Lush and Una (Pleman) Starkes; brother - Hayward (Doris) Randell and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Sidney Payne and Rev. Morley Boutcher conducted the funeral service at St. Swithn's Anglican Church, Seal Cove on Thursday, April 19, 2001. Interment followed at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Baie Verte. Pallbearers were Don Loveman, Allen Cramm. Peter Robinson, Kevin Cramm, Shawn Parsons and Doug Robinson.

WISEMAN, CAPT. MALCOLM JAMES
LITTLE BAY ISLANDS

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Malcolm Wiseman, age 74, announce his passing at the Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook on Wednesday, April 18, 2001. Predeceased by parents Robert and Mary Ann Wiseman and son Barry. Left with fond and loving memories are: wife - Victoria; sons - Dempsey (Irma), Hughes Brook and Reed (Elizabeth), Clarke's Beach; daughters - Ruth (John), Barrie, ON and Pauline (Gilbert), Little Bay; sisters - Evelyn Allen, ON; bothers - Marden and Sidney both of Robert's Arm; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Captains Gary and Glenys Butt conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel, Springdale on Friday, April 20, 2001. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Springdale. Pallbearers were Jamie Wiseman, Justin Simms, Shane Simms, Brian George, Welson Ryan and Bradley Wiseman.

WESTPORT

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Beulah Roberts announce her passing at the Residential Care Unit in Baie Verte on April 21, 2001 at the age of 84. Beulah was a member of the Anglican Church. Predeceased by: husband, Isaac; mother, father and three daughters. Left with fond and loving memories are: sons Havlock (Olive), Westport, Stanley (Pheobe), Westport, Ross (Winnie), Westport and Rex (Bonnie), Westport; daughters Violet (Sam), Westport and Golda (Boyde), Westport. Also leaving to mourn: one brother, Havlock; four step brothers Henry, Charlie, Walber and Sam; four step sisters Sasa, Bertha, Florence and Jessie; 30 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Rev. P. Janes and Rev. Butcher conducted the funeral service at St. Peter's Church and Cemetery on April 23, 2001. Pallbearers were Mike Jacobs, Andrew Jacobs, Mike Stuckless, Ben Stuckless, Ellis Andrews and Jason Jacobs.

LUSH, LEANDER GEORGE,
BURLINGTON

Passed away April 24, 2001, peacefully, Leander George Lush at his home in Burlington, at the age of 80. He was a humble man of integrity and Godly character and was a member ot the Faith Pentecostal Assembly, Burlington. Predeceased by: sisters Winnifred Lush, Melinda Tucker and Hettie Belle King. Left to mourn are: wife Agnes Levina; sons George (Olive), Cecil (Betty-Lou), Harvey (Nola) and Frank (Debra) all of Burlington; daughters Jessie (Ernest) Perry, Burlington, Winnie (Harvey) Newbury, Burlington, Ivy (Neil) Janes, St. John's, Barbara (Neil) Newbury, Burlington, Pansy (Guy) Mitchell, Burlington, Bessie (Pastor Rick) Durdle, Carmanville and Blanche (Sidney Kelly deceased), Burlington. Also leaving to mourn: sister Georgina Perry; brother Claude Lush; 39 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastors Barry Hutchings and Rick Durdle conducted the funeral service at the Faith Pentecostal Assembly and Cemetery, Burlington on Saturday, April 28, 2001. Pallbearers were Stanley lush, Baxter Lush, Carl Lush, Earl Perry, Hayward Perry and Jerry Perry.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edgar Garland Dyer, age 72, announce his passing at his family residence in La Scie on Monday, April 30, 2001. Predeceased by parents - Frederick and Minnie Dyer and half-brother - Leander Dyer. Left with fond and loving memories are: wife - Bessie; sons - Brian (Marilyn), Thunder Bay, ON, Bruce, Fort McMurray, AB and Lewis (Pauline); daughters - Bonnie (Melvin) May, Minnie (Roger) Morey and Evelyn (Jerry) Ward, all of La Scie. Also leaving to mourn: sisters - Pearl Toms, Eileen (Don) Burton and Myrtle (Richard) Stuckless; brothers James (Marjorie) and Alonzo Dyer; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Captains Scott and Michelle Rideout conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery, La Scie on Thursday, May 3, 2001. Pallbearers were Delano Fowler, Carl Rice, Vincent Rice, Sidney Ward, Louis Fudge and Glendon Bungay.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Augustus Foster, age 85, announce his passing at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, April 30, 2001. Predeceased by: parents -Kenneth and Selena Foster; grandchildren - Mary Wells, Roger Foster and Amanda Morey. Left with fond and loving memories are: wife - Gertie; son - Augustus (Dorothy), Shoe Cove; daughters Annie (Pleman) Wells, Grand Falls-Windsor and Mary Walsh (Robert Jones), Calgary, AB; foster daughter June (Roy) Morey with whom he resided at Port Anson and son-in-law - Raymond Walsh, Calgary, AB. Also leaving to mourn: sister - Mary (Augustus) Eveleigh; brothers - Henry (Eileen), Robert (Audrey), Malcolm (Vera), Raymond (Emma) and Claude (Alma); 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastors Peter Grimes and Douglas Purchase conducted the funeral service at the Zion Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Shoe Cove on Thursday, May 3, 2001. Pallbearers were brothers - Henry, Malcolm, Raymond and Claude; grandson - Michael Foster and nephew - Leighton Foster.
