ABBOTT, Frank
St. Anthony East
1930-2009

It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Abbott announce that he fell asleep in death, Sept. 29, 2009, in the Health Sciences Centre in St. Johns. Frank was born to Elias and Annie Abbott in Bonavista, May 9, 1930. He symbolized his dedication to God on June 20, 1959 and in 1961 began 48 years of loyal service as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Frank was married to Joyce Lilly from Beckley West Virgina on June 19, 1965. Their marriage was a happy union centered on Jehovah's service. For over 44 years Frank and Joyce worked side by as full time ministers. They served in 10 different areas of Newfoundland and assisted many to come to love and worship Jehovah God. Every time they moved to a new assignment they left behind a loving congregation of freinds. Frank's love for God's word made him a zealous minister. He was a shy and humble man and others were quickly drawn to him. He also had an endearing sense of humour. Frank enjoyed a rich and satisfying life in God's service and died knowing his life has real meaning to others and foremost to his Creator Jehovah God. Frank's wife and family would like to express appreciation to Curtis Memorial Hospital and it's medical staff, also to the Health Sciences Centre and it's coronary staff, RT staff, as well as the many dear friends and family members who have given unfailing support during his most difficult time. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Oct. 17, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, North St. Anthony.
