COATES, AGNES
L'Anse au Clair

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Agnes Coates announce her passing at the Labrador South Health Centre long term care unit in Forteau on Sept. 13, 2006 at the age of 80 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories husband Thomas Coates; sister Ella Bell (Chesley), as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Emily Letto. Visitors were received at the Anglican Church in L'Anse au Clair on Wednesday and Thursday from where the funeral service took place on Friday, Sept, 15 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marlaine Leggo officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Church Cemetery in L'Anse au Clair. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup.

PILGRIM, Noah Morgan
Passed peacefully away in the arms of his parents and surrounded by his family on Sept. 17, 2006 at the age of 10 weeks. Left with loving memories are his parents Sabrina and Morgan; grandparents Ross and Betty Pilgrim and Lillian Pilgrim (Wilfred); great-grandmothers Janet Dawe and Edna Pilgrim; great-grandfather Abram Richards; uncles Lyndon (Trudy) and Brent (Lorna), aunt Lorraine (Brad); cousins Darrell and Lorraine and a host of other family members and friends of the family. He is predeceased by grandfather Douglas and his little cousin Brady. Visitation took place at K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. at the United Church in St. Anthony with Rev. McGonigle officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton and Carnell’s Funeral Home, St. John’s, Danielle Galgay, Funeral director.

MAYNARD, Eliza
Hawkes Bay

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eliza Maynard announces her passing at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006 at the age of 75 years. She leaves to mourn her children Bill (Janice) of Hawkes Bay, Evelyn of Englee and Tom (Gracie) of Mount Pearl; grandchildren Crissy of St. Anthony and Aaron and Byron of Mount Pearl; stepson Dion (Cindy) and their children Candace and Shane; sisters Evelyn (Les) Harvey and Rachael of Plum Point, and Jessie (Don) Noseworthy of Grand Falls; brother George (Virginia) Coombs of Plum Point and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her two grandsons BJ and Steven, parents George and Nellie Coombs, brothers Rendell, Gordon and Henry. Cremation took place at Humber Valley Crematorium in Pasadena. A memorial service was held in her memory at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Hawkes Bay on Monday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cancer Society were greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.

ANDREWS, George Charles
St. Anthony

Passed away Sept. 25, 2006 at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony, George Andrews, age 88 years. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of memories daughter Ruth; brother Stewart Andrews (Violet); sisters Mary Taylor and Mae Patey; daughter-in-law June Andrews; sister-in-law Leatrice Andrews; grandsons Jordon Ford and Chance Glandon, as well as a large number of nephews and nieces and a wide circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Bertha, son Roy and brother Herbert. Visitation took place at K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony. The funeral service was held at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in St. Anthony with Rev. Canon Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

BUCKLE, Anastasia
Goose Cove

Passed away on Sept. 26, 2006, Anastasia Buckle, age 78 years. Leaving to mourn daughter Patricia Colbourne (Oscar); granddaughter Sheena; great-grandson Jordan and brother Anthony Reardon (Gertie). She was predeceased by her husband Fred, parents Michael and Mary Ellen, sister Rita, brothers Albert, Leo, Patrick, Joseph, Billy and Herbert. Visitation took place at K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home at St. Anthony. The funeral mass was held at St. Francis Xavier Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28 with Fr. Muchena officiating. Interment followed in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Goose Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Danielle Galgay, funeral director.

PARRILL, Whyman
Bear Cove

Passed away at the Health Science Centre on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006 surrounded by his devoted family, Whyman Parrill of Bear Cove at the age of 61 years. Left to mourn with fond memories wife Effie; daughers Holly (Jim) and Marjorie (Peter); son Christopher (Della); grandchildren Thomas and Emily; mother Mariam (late Gilbert); sisters Vera (Alvin), Hazel (Garfield), Gladys (late Lawrence) and Maria (Noah); brother Wilga (Pauline); special niece Connie Genge, and family and friends. Visitation took place at St. Boniface Church in Bear Cove from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006 with Rev. Steven Maki and John Moores officiating. Interment followed at Pines Cove Cemetery.
