Leslie Stephen Chubbs died unexpectedly at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on Oct. 7, 2009 at the age of 54 years. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Rowena; sons Quentin; his wife Sherry and their daughter Emerson and son Nathan, Nicholas and daughter Carla; parents Leslie and Muriel; sisters Dulcie Carpenter (Lanny), Sheila Chubbs; brothers Barry (Claudette), Rodney (Mary), Kevin (Yvonne), and Everett (Mary); father and mother-in-law Hayward and Alice Normore; sisters-in-law Beryl Barney (Norman), Audrey Ryland (Clifford), Celestine Earle, Deborah Barney (Calvin), and Michelle Ryland (Leon); brother-in-law Elvin Normore (Jackie) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family, at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on Oct. 11, 2009. Morris Biles, age 78 years.
