It is with great sadness that the family of the late Darryl
Way announce his passing at his home in Eddies Cove East on Oct
3, 2002 at the age of 24 years. He is survived by his mother Ivy; father
Stewart; sister Tania; nephew Jaden; grandfather George Coates; grandmother Hazel
Way , as well as a large circle of other family and friends. Visitation took
place at his home in Eddies Cove East. The funeral service took place at 2 p.m.
on Sunday, Oct. 6 at St. Andrew's Church in Lower Cove with Rev. Sandra Hounsell-Drover
officiating assisted by Isaac Hutchings. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery
in Eddies Cove East.

the late Richard
Churchill Mitchelmore announces his sudden passing on Saturday,
Oct. 5, 2002 at the age of 83. He
leaves to mourn wife Doreen; sons Richard (Nellie), Gerald (Joyce), Theophilus
(Sylvia), Edwin (Dot) and Godfrey (Priscilla), daughter Gillian Clarke; 19
great grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Jane Keats of St.
Anthony and Ellen Mitchelmore of Halifax , as well as a large circle of relatives
and friends. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 at St.
Mary's Anglican Church with Rev. Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating. Interment
followed at the Anglican Church Cemetery, St. Anthony. Funeral arrangements were

The sudden passing occurred at the Cloud River area on Oct.
6, 2002. He was
in his 60th year. He leaves to mourn wife Iris of Pasadena; sons
Darren (Corinna)of Langley, B.C. and Dion of Labrador City; daughter Suzan
(Bruce) of Rupar,Texas; grandson Gage of Langley, B.C.; mother Dulcie Fillier
of St. John's; brothers Norman of Labrador City, Douglas (Beth) and Edward,
both of Toronto,and Sterling (Donna) of Sudbury; sisters Bernetta (Robert)
Regular of St. John's, Florilla (Kishor) of Singapuri, Pensylvania, Joan (Jerdon)
Abbott of Roddickton and Jean Samson of Bay Roberts, as well as a large number
of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at the Apostolic Faith
Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on
Thursday, Oct. 10 with Rev. John McGonigle and Pastor Rene Cassell officiating.
Interment followed in the United Church Cemetery located along the Englee highway.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, Roddickton,
Wilfred Hutchings, funeral director.

Passed peacefully away at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Oct.
8, 2002. She was in her 83rd year. Leaving to mourn son Gerald

Benjamin, Logan and Emily; brothers Harold of Ontario and Wesley of Goose Bay,

Dean, Sylvia, Tina, Gale, Lloyd and Dwayne; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great
grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends. She was predeceased by her husbands William Gould and Albin Maher,
sons Lloyd and Lorne and great-grandson Alexander. Visitation was held at Good
Tidings Pentecostal Church in Port Saunders from where the funeral service
was held on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002 with Pastor George Coles officiating. Interment
followed at the Interfaith Cemetery , Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy

Joshua, Abby and Brady; four great great-grandchildren, Paul, Shay, Mateo and
Tanasha; sister Kitty Byrnes of Scotland; brothers William and Andy Melrose of

took place on Saturday at 1 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church in Corner Brook
with Rev. Coffin officiating. Interment followed at the family plot in Mount
