WAY, DARRYL DUANE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Darryl Way announce his passing at his home in Eddies Cove East on Oct 3, 2002 at the age of 24 years. He is survived by his mother Ivy; father Stewart; sister Tania; nephew Jaden; grandfather George Coates; grandmother Hazel Way , as well as a large circle of other family and friends. Visitation took place at his home in Eddies Cove East. The funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6 at St. Andrew's Church in Lower Cove with Rev. Sandra Hounsell-Drover officiating assisted by Isaac Hutchings. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Eddies Cove East.

MITCHELMORE SR., RICHARD CHURCHILL
St. Anthony
Veteran World War II

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Richard Churchill Mitchelmore announces his sudden passing on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 at the age of 83. He leaves to mourn wife Doreen; sons Richard (Nellie), Gerald (Joyce), Theophilus (Sylvia), Edwin (Dot) and Godfrey (Priscilla), daughter Gillian Clarke; 19 great grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Jane Keats of St. Anthony and Ellen Mitchelmore of Halifax , as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 at St. Mary's Anglican Church with Rev. Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Church Cemetery, St. Anthony. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Wilfred Hutchings, funeral director.

FILLIER, GEORGE
Pasadena
(Formerly of Englee)

The sudden passing occurred at the Cloud River area on Oct. 6, 2002. He was in his 60th year. He leaves to mourn wife Iris of Pasadena; sons Darren (Corinna)of Langley, B.C. and Dion of Labrador City; daughter Suzan (Bruce) of Rupar,Texas; grandson Gage of Langley, B.C.; mother Dulcie Fillier of St. John's; brothers Norman of Labrador City, Douglas (Beth) and Edward, both of Toronto,and Sterling (Donna) of Sudbury; sisters Bernetta (Robert) Regular of St. John's, Florilla (Kishor) of Singapuri, Pensylvania, Joan (Jerdon) Abbott of Roddickton and Jean Samson of Bay Roberts, as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at the Apostolic Faith Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 with Rev. John McGonigle and Pastor Rene Cassell officiating. Interment followed in the United Church Cemetery located along the Englee highway. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, Roddickton, Wilfred Hutchings, funeral director.

ELLIOTT, EMILY
Cook's Harbour

Passed peacefully away at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Oct. 8, 2002. She was in her 83rd year. Leaving to mourn son Gerald (Una); grandchildren Kevin, Kathy, Wavey and Keith; great-grandchildren Danelle, Benjamin, Logan and Emily; brothers Harold of Ontario and Wesley of Goose Bay, as well as a large number of other family and friends. Visitation took place at the Anglican Church in Cook's Harbour from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 with Rev. Ross Rumbolt officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Levinia Fillatre, funeral director.

MAHER, ANNIE M.
Corner Brook
(Formerly of Port au Choix)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie M. Maher announce her passing on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002 at the O'Connell Centre in Corner Brook, at the age of 90 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Sylvia Smith of Springdale, Caroline (Ben) Maynard of Corner Brook, William (Denise) Gould of Ottawa, Grace Gaslard of Nova Scotia and Raymond Maher of British Columbia; 20 grandchildren, Brian, David, Robert, Rodney, Carla, Janet, Anne, Rose, Claude, Randy, Glenda, Janice, Tina, Monica, Dean, Sylvia, Tina, Gale, Lloyd and Dwayne; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husbands William Gould and Albin Maher, sons Lloyd and Lorne and great-grandson Alexander. Visitation was held at Good Tidings Pentecostal Church in Port Saunders from where the funeral service was held on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002 with Pastor George Coles officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery , Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Good Tidings Pentecostal Church Memorial Fund. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home Limited.

GENGE, ANGUS
Flowers Cove

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Angus Genge announce his passing at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Monday, Oct. 14, 2002. He was in his 62nd year. Leaving to mourn his wife Elva; daughters Mabel (Ivan) Mahar of Bird Cove and Mona (Winston) Hughes of Green Island Brook; sons Angus (Didi) of Ontario, Craig (Millie) of Flowers Cove and Gordon (Shelly) of St. John's; grandchildren Angela, Jeff, Kristine, Tracy, Stephanie, Morgan, Casey, Briane, Bradley, Brandon, Laura, Nicole and Kaitlin; great-grandchild Megan; parents Mabel and stepfather Max Way; brothers Alvin (Vera), Donald (Ann), Bruce (Sandra) and Lewis; special uncle Johnny Genge; aunt Dulcie Genge, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by grandparents Angus and Millie Genge, uncle Hob and aunt Selina. The family received friends at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Flowers Cove from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17 with Rev. Robert Elder officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marion Forstph House announce her passing on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 80th year. She will be sadly missed by her children, Marion House of Hawkes Bay, Margaret (Gervase) Callahan of Corner Brook, Austin (Patricia) House of Brampton, Ontario, Daniel (Denise) House of Corner Brook and Kathy (Clar) Callahan of Summerside; 15 grandchildren, Marina, June, Kay, Gordon, Heather, Reg, Jenny, Joe, Cynthia, Shannon, Mary Anne, Michael, Penny, Tracy and Clary; 18 great-grandchildren, Heather Anne, Ian, Chad, John, Shane, Andrew, Richard, Reggie, Anthony, Samantha, Dylan, Dareh, Sarah, Jenna, Nathan, Joshua, Abby and Brady; four great great-grandchildren, Paul, Shay, Mateo and Tanasha; sister Kitty Byrnes of Scotland; brothers William and Andy Melrose of Scotland; sister-in-law Bessie Perry (Donald) of Daniel's Harbour; brothers-in-law Godfrey (Alma) House, Maxwell (Vivian) House and Lloyd (Annie) House, all of Belburns; and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1994, son Gordon in 1950, parents Lyal and Margaret Melrose, sister Elizabeth and brothers Daniel, Alex and Jimmy. Visitation took place at Parsons Funeral Home at 63 North main Street, Deer Lake. The funeral service took place on Saturday at 1 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church in Corner Brook with Rev. Coffin officiating. Interment followed at the family plot in Mount Patricia Cemetery. By request of the family in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home, Deer Lake.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jacob Gould announce his passing at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre on Monday, Oct. 21, 2002. He was in his 67th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Dolly; children June (Wayne) Finlay of Port Saunders, Sandy (Peggy) of Goose Bay, Mick (Glenys) of Paris, Ontario and Rosalee (Carl) Gould and Cindy (Rob) Patey, both of Port Saunders; grandchildren April, Gregory, Scott, Wesley, Jeremy, Kristen, Brandon, Adam, David, Jacob and Robert; brother Roy Gould of River of Ponds, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his son in 1961, parents Israel and Harriet, and sister Patricia Biggin. The sudden passing occurred at his residence on Oct. 25, 2002. He was in his 36th year. He leaves to mourn mother Phyllis; sisters Thelma (Llew) Allingham and Judy (Earnest) Earle; brothers Rex (Leah), Don (Maisie), Dennis (Millicent), Terry (Karen), Randy (Mary), Glenn (Gail) and Kirby (Denise), and 25 nephews and nieces. Visitation took place at the funeral home on West Street . The funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct 28 from Bethel Pentecostal Church in St. Anthony with Pastor Cole officiating. Passed peacefully away at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Oct. 27, 2002. She was in her 52nd year. She leaves to mourn husband Bennett of Englee; daughters Ruby (Barry) of Reef's Harbour and Debbie (Rick) of Mississauga; sons Glen (Penney) of St. Carol's, Dennis of Red Deer, Alberta and Barry of Englee; grandchildren Russell, Terry, Riley, Lorne and Laura; mother Elizabeth Richards of St. Carol's; sisters Nellie Mitchelmore (Richard) of St. Anthony, Nina Hill (Albert) of Brampton, Ontario, Florence Richards (Freeman) of St. Carol's and Alma Burden (Wayne) of St. Lunaire; brothers Willis (Shirley), Hedley (Faye), Harrison (Judy), Hubert (Barbara), Lester (Viona), all of St. Carol's and David (Jackie) of Brampton, Ontario, as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at the Apostolic Faith Church in Englee from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday, Oct. 30 with Pastors Vanzel Quinlan and Fred Randell officiating. GLYNN, JANE FRANCES
West St. Modeste

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jane Glynn announce her passing at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Monday, Oct. 28, 2002. She was in her 67th year. Leaving to mourn her husband Paul; children Theresa (Clarence), Jeanette (Calvin), Lionel (Lily), Agatha (Winston), Reginald (Rita), Marilyn (Francis), George, John (Terrilyn), Jacqueline (Joseph), Loretta (Ted) and Mary Ange; Georgie Cabot and Jack; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six sisters; five brothers, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. The family received friends at Our Lady of Labrador Church from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Thursday with Fr. Neil Haight officiating. Interment followed at the L'Anse-au-Diable Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup. Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex in St. John's on Oct. 29, 2002, Clarissa Davis of Forteau, Labrador South, age 73 years. Leaving to mourn husband Bobby; brothers Jack Roberts (Ettie) and Gordon Roberts (Rose), both of Pilley's Island, sisters Grace Hancock (Stewart) of Forteau, Thelma of Baie Verte, Flossie Oxford (Fred) of Pilley's Island, Jessie Roberts (Reg) of Hare Bay, Nellie Batstone of Pilley's Island and Jeanette Taylor of Gunners Cove; sister-in-law Jessie, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday and then at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Forteau from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. Interment followed in St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery.
