Isaiah and Ada Taylor, of Ship Cove were delighted when Phyllis was born into their family. Phyllis loved growing up in Ship Cove, and she had wonderful memories of Lance aux Souash and Elbone. When she married David, in 1970, she shared those joys with him. After 10 years of waiting, Phyllis and Dave began to add to their family. Then she was also able to teach them the wonders of our beautiful hills and shores. Phyllis had many loves beyond exploring nature. She was skilled in a number of crafts, loved to sew and quilt. Phyllis loved music and was a gifted singer as well as organist. She was also an avid reader. Phyllis went back to school as an adult, and was pleased to graduate from CONA. Underneath all of her interests, Phyllis was devoted to Jesus. She was active in the UCW, was the Sunday School Superintendent and shared her joy in music with both Church and SundaySchool. Her love of children and willingness to serve her community also led Phyllis to lead the Girl Guides. She touched many, many lives. Beyond all of this, her crowning achievement was the love she showered on David and their three daughters and grandson. She leaves behind her beloved husband David, her three daughters Melanie, Jeanette and Sue Anne, her Grandson Jordan, Her Sisters Vina, Manlyn, and Dale, Brother Stafford.
