BILLARD, Ella Mary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ella Mary Billard of Port au Choix, NL, announce her passing on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 95 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Annette (Garth), Lewis (Bride), Dora, René (Sheila), Vincent (Kay), Percy (Iona), Clarence (Lizeta) and Lorrie (Bradea); grandchildren Jim, John, Paul, Lewis, Sonya, Angie, Delisa, Gale, Blair, Pam, Todd, Corey, Ryan, Lori-Lyn, Jennifer, Boyd, Jackie, Raymond and Lisa; great-grandchildren Megan, Faith, Caleb, Cody, Nathan, Aiden, Matthew, Ella, Adam, Robyn, Jaret, Grace, Adrianna, Jordan, Beau, Bryan, Aren, Sarah, Ashlyn, Jillian, Jaydon, Keithon and Dylan; great-great-grandchildren Ava and Aryanna, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Pius, daughters Peggy and Bertha (husband Clar Wade), grandchildren Coral, Christopher, Brandon and Dustin. Visitation took place at Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix on Wednesday and Thursday. The funeral service took place on Friday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church in Port au Choix with Fr. Lee Lainey officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website at www.fillatre.ca

CHAMBERS, Curtis
It is with great sadness the family of the late Curtis Chambers of Bear Cove, NL, announce his passing on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Shirley; children Roland (Gladys), Emelene (Mark), Curtis (Leah), Blanche (Albert), Oswald, Terrance (Karen), Louise (Marvin), and Mary (Ronald); grandchildren Tanya, Roland, Deno, Sylvia, Paula, Brendan, Bradley, Brandon, Gavin, Ryan, Danika, Jonathan, Megan, and Sandi; great-grandchildren Britney, Zachary, Abby, Ashley, Brady, Brooke, Brianna, Jada, Brandon, Jagger, and Jackson; sister Mabel; brothers-in-law Cyril, Earl, and Robert, and a large of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Calvin, parents John and Edna Chambers, sisters Minnie, Bertha, Marion, Ethel and Olga, brothers-in-law Rendell, Oswald and Roland. Cremation took place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena. Memorial service was held on Thursday, Nov. 24 at the Anglican Church in Bear Cove. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.

GENGE Jr., Emanuel
Passed away on Nov. 23, 2011 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital, Mr. Emanuel Genge Jr. of Anchor Point, NL, in his 54th year. He leaves to mourn with loving memories wife Fiona; son Murray (Tina, Kailey, and Neil); daughter Annette (Ashley, Blair and Brian Emanuel); brothers Abe (Jane) and family, Steward (Dorcas) and family, Doug (Bertha) and family, Mon (Una) and family, Marvin (Louise), Brone (Bill), Troy (Connie) and family; sisters Beulah (Jake) and family, Millicent (Cliff) and family, sister-in-law Sheena (Absalom) and family; and special friend Ted (Joy) and family. He was predeceased by his mother Dora, father Emanuel, mother-in-law Christina and father-in-law Chesley. Visitation took place at the St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Anchor Point from where the funeral service followed on Saturday, Nov. 26 with Rev. Ralph Moore officiating. Burial took place at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

HOUSE, Barbara
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Barbara House of Port Saunders, NL, announce her passing on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 48 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Dan; daughters Jinene (Desmond), Port Saunders, and Ashley (Dwayne), Deer Lake; grandchildren Dakota and Donovan; parents Leonard and Edna House, River of Ponds; sister Joanne (Troye); brothers Evan (Connie), Junior (Ellisa), and Russell (Gladys); extended family Laura (Wilfred), Elaine (Steve), Sidney (Jill), Stephen (Vicky), and Nicholas; mother-in-law Hepsey House; brothers-in-law Craig (Lisa), Clan (Brenda) and Derek, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family received friends at St. John the Divine Anglican Church in Port Saunders on Sunday evening and Monday from where the funeral Service took place on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. NORMAN, Dora Emily
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dora Norman of Flowers Cove, NL, announce her passing on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at John M. Gray Centre, St. Anthony at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Alvin (Sharon); grandchildren Bradley (Christine), Morley (Rochelle), Maurice, Danika, Shane (Laurie), Tywna (Kerry), Shannon and Jamie; great-grandchildren Brandon, Kyle, Tyler, Nathan, Colby, Regan, Nicole, Jack, Matthew, Corey and Megan; brothers George and Ross (Jane); brother-in-law Thomas; and sister-in-law Marie, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Augustus, parents Elizabeth and Elijah Stevens, sister Madeline Diamond, brother Bob, daughters Bertha Kember, Betty Earle and brother-in-law Lawrence Norman. The family received friends at the Gospel Hall in Flowers Cove on Sunday from where the Funeral service took place on Monday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. with Wallace Buckle officiating. Interment followed at the Gospel Hall Cemetery, Nameless Cove. Flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. PENNEY, Ethel Harriett
Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre on Nov. 12, 2011, Mrs. Ethel Harriett Penney (Elliott) of St. Anthony, NL, in her 85th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Wayne (Eileen) and Leon (Patsy); grandchildren Chris (Sherry), Kara (Jason), Tanya (Todd), and Tasha (Lloyd); great-grandchildren Courtney Penney, Christina Penney, Kieley Patey, Riley Keats, McKenna Keats, Haylee Penney, and Evan Adams; sister Vira (Alonzo) Reid; brothers Carl (Maude, Lester (Ivy), and Robert (Joan); sisters-in-law Dorothy, Esther, and Rosie. She was predeceased by her husband Mac in 1991, sister Winnie Pinsent, brothers Eric, Ralph, Arthur, Bernard, and Harold, sister-in-law Lilly and brothers-in-law Donald, Eric, and Clem. Visitation took place at the funeral home from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the United Church in St. Anthony with Rev. Gus Pendleton and Rev. John McGonigle officiating. Burial took place at the Fishing Point United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

RICHARDS, Dennis Baine
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Dennis Baine Richards of St. Anthony, NL, on Nov. 21, 2011, in his 43rd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his common law wife Lana Pilgrim; his daughter Lauren; brothers Leon (Helen), and Dale (Leila); sisters Kaye (Cletus) and Kerri (Robert); nephews Baine, Raymond, Jeffrey, Brandon, Wade, and Brandon; niece Alicia; great-nephew Ryan, father and mother-in-law Ernest and Madonna Pilgrim, as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Levinia Richards, cousins Wesley Pilgrim and Cpl. Brian Pinksen. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service at the St. Anthony United Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 with Rev. Stephanie McClellan officiating. Burial followed at Fishing Point Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

RYAN, Joseph
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Ryan of Port Saunders, NL, announce his passing on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 72 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Odilia; children Jeanette (Ben) VanWyck, Grimsby, Ontario, Michael (Sandra), Castor River North, Joanne (Andy), Port au Choix, Larry (Laurie), Burin Bay Arm, Judy, Corner Brook and Paul (Bonnie), River of Ponds; grandchildren William, Michaela, Melanie, Matthew, Emily, Olivia, Isabella, Noah, Sara, Hannah, Adam and Leo; brothers Raymond (Catherine), Patrick (Carrie), Gordon (Margaret) and Leo. He was predeceased by his parents Felix and Mildred, sisters Agnes and Laura, brothers Leonard and Kelvin, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday evening and Thursday from where the funeral service took place on Friday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. with Fr. Lee Lainey officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Newfoundland Alzheimer's Association. SAMSON, Lloyd
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lloyd Samson (Sept. 11, 1939 - Nov. 22, 2011) of River of Ponds announce his passing on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted and loving partner of 31 years, Annie Bursey; special nephew Todd Samson; Annie's children Judy (Glen) Cooper, Ann Marie (Perry) Cooper and Robert (Nancy) Bursey; five grandchildren and one great- granddaughter; sisters Effie (Harold) House, Eunice (Herb) Tucker, Jean Samson, Vera (Wilfred) Patey and Bride Whey; brothers James, Jerry (Roslyn), Dion and Morris (Sheila); stepmother Mrs. Mary Samson; brothers and sisters-in-law Bob (Joan) Johnson, Frank (Jean) Johnson, Wanda (Allan) Dalley and Wayne (Donna) Johnson, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents James and Dolly, sister Dolly, grandmother Dorcas Samson and brother-in-law Hughie Whey. Friends visited the Anglican Church in River of Ponds on Thursday evening from where the funeral service took place on Friday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society. WAY, Mary Ellen
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Ellen Way of Savage Cove, NL, announces her passing on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Hank, residing at Northern Retirement Home in Port Saunders; daughter Leona (Clifford) Coombs, Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia; granddaughter Medina (Toma) Genge; great-grandson Kyus Earl Samuel; brother Harold Mugford; sisters Marina (Albert) Applin, and Naomi (Curtis) Mitchelmore, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Earl, parents Sarah and Anthony Mugford, and brother George. The family received friends at St. Mark's Anglican Church in Savage Cove on Sunday evening and Monday from where the funeral service took place on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Savage Cove. WELLS, Doris Edna
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doris Wells of Port Saunders, NL, announce her passing on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 71 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Tom; son Kenneth; granddaughter Julietta; grandson Donovan; great-grandchildren Parker and Sophia; sisters Renne (George), Anchor Point, Peal (Sam), River of Ponds, Catherine, Corner Brook, and May (Henry), Port Saunders; brothers Dwight (Brenda), Otto (Bonnie), Brampton, Ontario, Frederick (Pat), Manley, London, Ontario, and Walter (Irene), Hawkes Bay; brother-in-law Don Verge, Deer Lake, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Muriel Sheppard, sister Philmon Verge, brothers Thomas and Kenneth, and sister-in-law Lydia. Visitation took place at Good Tidings Pentecostal Church in Port Saunders on Tuesday, from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Jenkins officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in River of Ponds. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
