DIAMOND, Nora Francis Amelia
Passed on: May 3rd, 2018

Passed away May 3rd, 2018 at the John M Gray Center in St. Anthony at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children Dale White (Barry), Harvey Diamond (Paul); grandchildren Chris Diamond (Katie), Chasity Gould (Gavin), Kelly Gaulton (Christopher), Crystal Cater (Steve); great-grandchildren Dustin, Daly, Bethany, Peyton, Anna, Jacob, Olivia, special sister-in-Law Hazel Dempster; sister Kitty Parrill; brothers Clyde (June), Donald (Cicely), Claude (Mary) and Harold Sr. Amelia was predeceased by her husband Clarence; parents John and Amy; brothers Anthony and Gordon; sisters-in-law Sara May, Evelyn; brother-in-law Ethelbert. Visitation was held from St. Barnabas' Anglican Church in Flowers Cove from where the funeral was held on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jennifer Renouf officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director.

GIBBONS, JAMES
November 3, 1947 - May 20, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Gibbons announces his passing. James was born on November 3, 1947 on Current Island. In 1969 he married Gladys Bonnell, together they had two children; Jimmy and Winnie. He had five grandchildren that he adored. He had two sisters; Edith (Isaac) and Lillian (Jim) and bothers Martin (Annie) and Edmund (Paula). He was a fisherman for 30+ years and was an active member of his local fisherman's committee. Jim was also a proud member of Loyal Orange Lodge and enjoyed Saturday night with his member friends. He will be forever missed. He leaves to mourn his wife Gladys; Children Jimmy (Carol) and Winnie (Darcy); Grandchildren Luke, William, Ben, Makenna, and Micah as well as a large circle of family and friends. James was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Myrtle; Brother Martin; and Niece Eileen. Visitation was held from St. Mary's Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from where the funeral service was held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jennifer Renouf officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home. St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

LINSTEAD, Florence
Passed on: May 18th, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Linstead announce her passing on Friday, May 18th, 2018 at the Labrador South Health Centre in Forteau at the age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her two daughters; Linda and husband Silas Barney and Shirley and husband Ron Pike; son Melvin and wife Sheila; five grandchildren: Robert (Amy), Corie Lee (Kerry), Bradley (Cindy), Crissy (Alfred) and Stephen (Heather); 11 great- grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from St. Paul's Anglican Church in L'Anse au Loup on Saturday, May 19th from where the funeral service was held on Sunday, May 20th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Larkin and Reverend Moores officiated. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral services were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Homes Ltd.

NOSEWORTHY, DENNIS KEVIN
Passed away May 6th, 2018 in Manitoba at the age of 50 years. Dennis will be remembered with love by his Wife, Ivy; Parents, Bolden and Susan Noseworthy; Mother-in-law, Susie Gaulton; Sisters, Cynthia Gaulton (Terry), Corrine Noseworthy; Brother, Daran Noseworthy; Nieces, Stephanie, Samantha; Nephews, Nicholas, Brady, Landon, Brodie, Rain, Teagan; Grand Niece and Nephew, Kerstian, Aksel; Special Friends, Mike Gould, Cyril Genge, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his Grandparents, Josiah and Nora Noseworthy. John and Blanch Quinlan; Father-in-law Samuel Gaulton; Aunts, Gertie, Diane, Eliza, Betty; Uncles, Will, Arthur. Visitation was held from St. Thomas' Anglican Church in Savage Cove from where the funeral was held on Friday, May 18th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jennifer Renouf officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

PILGRIM, GORDON SAMUEL
Gordon Samuel Pilgrim
was born February 17th, 1931 to Charles and Sarah Jane Pilgrim in St. Anthony Bight. He died in St. Anthony Bight early in the morning of May 26th, 2018, his sister Mabel present with him. Gordon was a fisherman and a bachelor. He lived all his life in St. Anthony Bight. Gordon was not a traveler, but enjoyed a trip to the United States in 2004 and a trip to Belle Island despite this. For a short time, he and a cousin ran a restaurant in the Night, the "Wagon Wheel". Gord had the reputation of being "easy going", until this winter he loved playing darts and of course there was moose hunting, which he particularly enjoyed. Gord loved life and lived it well. Gordon leaves to mourn his sister Mabel Strain; niece Sarah Strain (Wayne); nephews David and Leland Strain (Cindy); grand-nephew Noah Strain as well as a long list of extended family and friends. Gordon is predeceased by his parents Charles and Sarah Jane Pilgrim; Brother-in-law Roy Strain; as well as two small sisters who died as infant babies. Visitation was held from Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home and From the United Church in St. Anthony Bight. The funeral was held from the United Church in St. Anthony Bight on May 29th, 2018 at 200 pm with Rev. Gary Jones officiating. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

ROPSON, Pearl Anita
Passed on: May 4th, 2018

Passed away May 4th, 2018 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Wanda and Melina; sons Wayne (Geraldine), Rick (Gaye), Austin (Ginette), Lot (Christine), David (Joanne); sisters and brothers Hazel, Pearce and Clarence (Amelia); grandchildren Bobby, Trudy, Travis, Candida, Hiram, Mary Louise, Madelyn, Jordan, Jack, Emily and Leanna as well as a large circle of family and friends. Visitation was held from Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home is St. Anthony on Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th. The funeral was held from St. Mary's Anglican church in St. Anthony on Monday, May 7th, 2018 at 2:00pm with the Rev. Katie Flynn officiating. Internment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton. Lee Nippard, funeral director.
