BUDGELL, Charles Norman
Born: May 24th, 1925

Charles Norman Budgell
passed away peacefully at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Charles was born to Noah and Priscilla Budgell of St. Anthony on May 24th, 1925. He married the love of his life, Bessie Dawe of Ireland Bight on August 11, 1948 and together they raised a wonderful family of six children, three boys and three girls. Following his marriage he moved with his wife to Buchans where he worked in the Buchans Mines. He returned to St. Anthony in 1950 and began his life career working in various positons within the town. Despite his full time employment he found time to be involved in community growth as a volunteer having served on early recreation committees, school boards, and as a town counsellor. He was the town's first fire chief. During his retirement, he filled his time with woodworking, gardening, berry picking, fishing, hunting, and spending countless hours with his family. You will be forever missed and always in our hearts. He leaves to mourn with a lifetime of loving memories his wife Bessie; children Barry (Muriel), Barbara Tuttle (Wayne), Linda Coffin (Roy), Wallace (Zita), Ada Simms, (John), and Jeffrey (Sheila); grandchildren Andrea, Jennifer, Mark, Aaron, Brian, Karl, Matthew, and Ashley; great-grandchildren Zachary, Simon, Benjamin, Hannah, Kaylee, Noah, and Lana; brother Frederick; sisters-in-law Dulcie, Hilda, and Ethel and a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Noah and Priscilla, brothers Henry and Bill, and sisters Debbie and Violet. Visitation took place at the funeral home in St. Anthony after which the funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27 at the Salvation Army Citadel in St. Anthony with Major Denzil Baggs officiating. Cremation followed after the funeral service. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

HYNES, Edmund Michael
Passed on: May 6th, 2016

It is with great loss and sadness that the family of Edmund Michael Hynes, formerly of Port au Choix and living at St. Barbe Manor for Seniors in Port Saunders, announces his sudden passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn children Coleen (Kerry) of Port Saunders, Darrell (Twila) of Thompson, Manitoba, Glenda (Gerry) of Kippens, and Elaine (Bram) of Castor River; grandchildren Braden, David, Michael, Aaron, Nicola, Christopher, Devon, and Alexis; sister Mildred Rumbolt of Northern Retirement Home, Port Saunders; special friends Don Rumbolt (nephew), Wayne Pike, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Hilda, parents Charles and Charlotte Hynes, brothers Abe, Gordon, Gerald, and Roy, and sisters Irene and Sarah. Visitation with relatives and friends was held at Fillatre's Funeral Home in Port au Choix on Saturday and Sunday. The family service was held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:30 pm. The funeral service took place Monday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church Port au Choix with Father Raj officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. Friends may sign the guest book and leave messages of condolence or In Memoriam donations to a charity of one's choice by visiting the website at    Arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Homes, Port au Choix.

MITCHELMORE, Maisie Margaret
Passed on: May 5th, 2016

Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Thursday, May 5, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, Maisie Margaret Mitchelmore at the age of 92 years. She leaves to mourn her sons Tom (Peggy), Ross (Linda), and George (Kim); daughters Brenda (Frank), and Shelia; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters Melinda Coates, Mattie McGregor, and Marguerite Walker; brother-in-law Warren Fifield; sister-in-law Loretta Hodge and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Guy Mitchelmore, parents George and Emily Hodge, great-grandson Baby Drew, brothers Maxwell, Malcolm, Mark, and Montriee, sisters Marie Fifield and Marcia Coles. Visitation was held at the Anglican Church in Main Brook from where the funeral service took place on Saturday, May 7 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Skinner officiating. Interment followed in the Main Brook Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

RANDELL, Charlene Natasha
Passed on: May 14th, 2016

Passed away into peace at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 32 years of age, Charlene Natasha Randell, beloved daughter of Cindy and Kirby Randell and loving sister to her two siblings, Mason and Bailey. Charlene was born in St. Anthony in 1984 and raised in Roddickton. She started school in 1989 and graduated high school in 2003. Charlene cherished her day in school and made many memories that remained with her for the rest of her days. Charlene was a bright spirit and a beautiful soul. Her all-time favourite thing on this earth was to laugh and it was contagious. She was a blessing to her family who will miss her dearly. She brought so much to the people who loved her and took a small part of them when she left. She loved butterflies and now she has her own wings to spread and fly. She leaves to mourn her parents Cindy and Kirby Randell; siblings Mason and Bailey Randell, and grandparents Ruby Randell and Louisea Wilcox. She was predeceased by her grandfathers Freeman Randell and Walter Canning. Visitation was held at the Pentecostal Church in Roddickton from where the funeral was held on Tuesday, May 17 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Brown officiating. Interment followed in the New Pentecostal Cemetery in Roddickton. Funeral services were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joselyn Sinnicks of Forrester's Point announces her passing on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Rufus Guinchard Health Center in Port Saunders at the age of 64 years. She will be sadly missed and forever loved by her children, Roxanne (Rick), Joanne (Arthur), Lorna (Patrick) and Jacob (Linda); grandchildren Dylan, Brandon (Danielle), Ryan, Hope, Hailey, Vanessa, Jacey (Ruby), Krista and Nathan; sisters and brothers Harriett, Joyce (Ross), Myles (Hilda), Mabel (Alex), Carmen, Pam, Harvey (Winnie), Shirley, Darris (Faye) and Elaine (Seymour), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband Guy, parents (Richard and Julie) and (Henry and Ida), sister Clarise and brother Lloyd. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Visitation took place at St. Matthews Anglican Church in Anchor Point from where the family service was held on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. The funeral service followed at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 2 with Reverend Omar Reyes officiating.
