PITTMAN, Ronald Levi
(Formerly of Cook’s Harbour)

Passed away in New Brunswick on May 1, 2007, Ronald Pittman, age 81 years. Leaving to mourn wife Lourrie; daughter Debbie (William); son John (Valerie); granddaughter Kelsie; grandson Michael; siblings Isabella (Hector), Debbie (Harold), Ivy, Gladys (Clayton), Everton (Doris), Aaron (Winnie) and Glen and Wade. He was predeceased by his parents John and Eliza Pittman, son Dwayne and sister Stella Colbourne. Visitation took place at St. Matthew’s Church, Cook’s Harbour from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2007 with Minnie Morris, lay minister, officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, New Brunswick and K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Danielle Galgay, Funeral director.

PLOWMAN, Alfreda Susan (nee Day)
Port au Choix

Passed away on Monday, May 14, 2007 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, Alfreda Plowman of Port au Choix in her 87th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters Margaret (Roy) Curtis of Curling, Dorothy Humber and Whilomena (Romeo) Caines of Port au Choix; sons Melvin (Kim) Plowman, David (Debbie) Plowman and Roy (Marilyn) Plowman of Port au Choix, Ivan Plowman and Wilson (Bernadette) Plowman of Fort McMurray, Alberta; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband James, sons Garland and Garfield, daughters Alice and Marie, and sons-in-law Cyril and Cecil. Visitation took place at St. Thomas Becket Anglican Church in Port au Choix beginning Tuesday evening from where the Funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment followed at the old Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix. FOWLER, Melita
Roddickton

Passed away on May 17, 2007, Melita Fowler of Roddickton, age 65 years. She leaves to mourn husband Walter; sons Wayne (Shirley), Dennis (Valerie), Dean and David; daughters Judy Reid (Boyce), Linda Reeves (Derrick) and Doreen Fowler; mother Verbena Hancock; sister Mae Pittman (Reuben); brother Wilmore (Laura) Hancock; nine grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at the Apostolic Church in Roddickton from where the Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 with Rev. Cassell officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral director.

ETHERIDGE, Tena (Bell)
Bradore, Quebec

Passed away suddenly on May 17, 2007 at her home in Bradore, Quebec, Tena Bell Etheridge, formerly of English Point, Labrador at the age of 63 years. She leaves to mourn with loving memories husband Hollis; sons Ivan (Eveline) and Gordie (Angela) of Bradore; grandchildren Jordan, Damon, Andrew and Tamika; sisters Caroline Mercer and Pearl Buckle (James); brothers Herb Bell (Judy) and Theodore Bell (Ivy); sisters and brothers-in-law, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents John and Delilah Bell and sister Alfredia Jewer. Visitation took place at St. Christopher’s Church in Bradore from where the Funeral service took place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 with Rev. Norman Cutler officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Church Cemetery in Bradore. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Homes Ltd., L’Anse au Loop.

RYLAND, Levi
Forrester’s Point

Passed away on May 18, 2007, Levi Ryland of Forrester’s Point, age 55 years. Leaving to mourn wife Gladys; daughters Hughena (Louie) and Lorenda (Mario); grandchildren Katie and Laci; mother Sarah Jane; brothers William (Adeline), Edward (Yvonne), Clarence (Bernadette) and Cyril (Gertrude); sister Eileen; in-laws Calvin (Jessie), Clyde (Amy), Lawerence (Irene), Jane (Jacob), Sadie (William Henry), Mary Rachel, Sybil and Vivian. She was predeceased by brothers Terry and Joseph. Visitation was held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck from where the Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 21 with Rev. Heidel officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral director.

RANDELL, Hezekiah
Englee

Passed away on May 23, 2007, Hezekiah Randell of Englee, age 84 years. He leaves to mourn daughters Ruby Randell (Wilson) and Selma Randell (Robert), both of Woodstock, Pansy Curtis (Reuben) of Englee, Pearl Fillier (Wayne) of Pasadena and Major Rita Pittman (Major Frank) of Grand Bank; sons Claude (Joyce) of Englee, Ivan (Sadie) of Red Deer, Alberta, Capt. Joshua (Capt. Pauline) of King’s Point and Roger (Cheri) of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. He as predeceased by his wife Emma and parents Joshua and Sophia. Visitation took place at the United Church in Englee from where the Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 26 with Ms. Joan Brenston, LPM officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Danielle Galgay, Funeral director.

TUCKER, James
St. Anthony

Passed away May 27, 2007, James Tucker, age 81 years. He will be mourned and sadly missed by his wife Blanche; children Jimmy (Betty), Vickie (Gerald), Gary (Cathy), Susan (Brian), Kevin (Kim) and Darren (Janet); 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy, Amy (James Rondorf), Hazel (Albert Peach), Ruby and Roberta (John Stevens); bothers Bill (Grace), Karl (Violet), Watson (Mary) and Peter (Belinda); brother-in-law Watson Budden. He was predeceased by his mother and father, brother Stephen (Gladys), sister Ethelyn (Watson Budden) and Helen (Don Broomfield). Visitation took place at K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 31 at the United Church in St. Anthony with Rev. McGonigle officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral director.

PATEY, Elsie Blanche
Main Brook

Passed away on May 29, 2007, Elsie Blanche Patey of Main Brook, age 93 years. She leaves to mourn daughter Elizabeth (Jobe); son Herb (Emily) and daughter-in-law Ethel; grandchildren Selma (Carl), Joan (Ray), Baxter (Dawn), Loretta (Earl), Peggy (Rick), Darryl (Jeanette), Beverly (Tony) Dawson (Jennifer), Lottie (Ed), Olive, Tobias (Mona), Amos (Theresa), Vinna, Ron (Belinda), Dennis (Druce), Thelma, Jean (Wilf), Todd, Chris, Zoey (Ross) and Joyce (Dee); great-grandchildren Luanne (Frank), Shelly (Cory), Shawn (Ainsley), Lee (Charlene), Scott, Jennifer, Lee, Teri, Staci, Tara, Mark, Andrew, Adam, Sydney, Alyshia, Cassandra, D.J., Janice (Kirby), Trinna (Brian), Corey (Heather), Dale (Ashley), Derek, Darren, Tobias, Nikita, Danielle, Corey, Corinna, Rhonda (Larry), Bradley (Samantha), Melissa (Corey), Christine (Terrance), Denise (Don), Trevor, Kelly (Brendon), Ricky, Nicole, Trinity, Trevor, Tyler and Thelma, great-great-grandchildren Hilary, Nicholas, Cameron, Ryan, Brock, Autumn, Trent, Alicia, Brandon, Alicia, Megan and Jayden; granddaughter-in-law Dot. She was predeceased by parents Alex and Mary Jane Anstey, Husband Chesley, daughter Harriet, son Everest, grandson Herb and son-in-law Ernest. Visitation took place at the Pentecostal Church in Main Brook from where the Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 2 with Pastor Langdon officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, Roddickton and St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay, Funeral director.

OFFREY, Mary Agnes
Eddies Cove West

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Offrey announces her passing on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn her children Olive (Isaac) Taylor of Forrester’s Point, Mary, Lawrence (Jacinta), Walt (Bernadette), June and Ken (Elizabeth) of Eddies Cove West, Elias (Barbara) of Devon Alberta and Gord (Deliliah) of Eddies Cove West and Eymard (Renee) of Montague, Prince Edward Island; grandchildren Darren, Sheri-lynn, Valine, Roxane, Jackie, Pamela, Gerard, Dylan, Keith, Jeanette and Chelsea; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Delaney, Ethan, Colton and Colby, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Eymard and son-in-law Dave House. Visitation took place at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Port au Choix on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 31 with Fr. Jim Robertson officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
