It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice M. Reid announce her passing at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on May 4, 2003 following a lengthy illness. She was 81 years old. Leaving to mourn son Levi; daughter-in-law Jean; grandchildren Tracy; Dawn (Mike) Walsh; Tammy (Chris) and Rick (Louise); great-grandchildren Matthew Reid, Justin Reid, Megan Reid, Leo Walsh, Alicia Patey, Christopher Reid, Danielle Reid, Holden Reid, Vincent Reid and Liane Reid; sister Beryl (Job) Ricketts; brothers William (Shirley) Dyke and Wilfred (Maude) Dyke, as well as a large circle of family and friends. She is predeceased by husband Garland, sisters Beatrice, Viola and Jane, and brother Winston. Visitation took place at the funeral home on West Street . The funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 6, at St. Mary's Anglican Church in St. Anthony with Rev. Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating. She is predeceased by her father Arnold Simms and brother-in-law Reginald Drodge. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her.
