EARLE, Freeman Harold
Passed peacefully away at St. Claire's Mercy Hospital in St. John's on March 20, 2012, Mr. Freeman Harold Earle of St. Lunaire-Griquet, NL, in his 67th year. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Phyllis; daughters Annie (Terry Nicholson), Wanda (Todd Chaulk) and Donna (Bill Mahoney); grandchildren Sheldon Earle (Julia Robinson) and Regan and Liam Mahoney; sisters Audrey, Jean, Gaye (Reg Wlliot), and Yvonne (Wilfred Parsons), as well as a large circle of loving relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Tony, parents Charles and Cecily, brothers Ralph, Bruce, and Clyde and sisters Faye and Fern. The funeral service was held on Wednesday Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Interment followed in the old Salvation Army Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

HANCOCK, Margaret Roberta
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margie Hancock of Forteau, NL, announce her passing on March 3, 2012 at Labrador South Health Centre at the age of 92 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories niece Mary (Edward); nephew Norman (Mabel); great-nieces and nephews Faye (Keith), Cecil, Peggy (Dwight), Adele, Rakila (Kirby), and Lorelie (Hughey); great-great nieces and nephews Amy, Meghan, Kylee, Dustin, Bianca, Rebecca, April, and Ethan, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. Visitation took place at the United Church in Forteau on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service took place on Monday, March 5 at 2 p.m. with Mrs. Loretta Hancock and Mrs. Alice Moores officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Forteau. As expressions of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home in L'Anse au Loup.

PARRILL, Elijah
Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on March 8, 2012, Mr. Elijah Parrill, of St. Anthony, NL, in his 70th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 48 years Elsie; his children Triffie (Lamont) and Wade (Nicole); grandchildren Mikaela, Robby, and Caitlyn; mother Flossie and mother-in-law Myrtle; brother Roy (Rachel); sisters Ena, Dorothy, Mary Ellen (Randy) and Jackie (Hayward), sisters-in-law Jessie, Bessie (Edgar), Neta (Gordon), and Nellie (Keith); brothers-in-law Hayward and Ross (Rita). He was predeceased by his father Norman, brothers-in-law Taylor and James Worthman. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 11 with Rev. Stephanie McClellan officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

RANDELL, Amy Annie
Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on March 21, 2012, Mrs. Amy Annie Randell of Roddickton, NL, in her 78th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Ruby (Jacob); sons Matthew and Leslie; her grandsons Tyson (Josephine) and Trevor (Krista), and great-grandson Reed Sammy Alex Dredge; sisters Christina (Edward), Rowena, and Bella (Lloyd); brothers Leslie, Henry (Blanche), and Eric (Ceciley); sister-in-law Edith (John); brother-in-law Norman; (Mathilda), and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation was held at the John Wesley United Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 with Rev. John McGonigle officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

SIMMS, Gordon Norman
Passed peacefully away at his private residence in St. Anthony surrounded by loving family on March 15, 2012, Mr. Gordon Norman Simms (Dec. 24, 1947 - March 15, 2012) of St. Anthony, NL, in his 64th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories son Matthew; stepchildren Lee and Lindsay; sisters Margie, Donna, Eleanor, and Mary; brothers Sam and Bill and a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Janie Way, father Hebert G. Simms, and brothers Pascoe and Chris. A memorial service was held on Monday, March 19. In lieu of flowers donations will be gladly accepted to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton.

WHITE, Gideon
Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, on March 21, 2012, Gideon White of Sandy Cove, NL, at the age of 75 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Maria; children Gary (Linda), Vicky (Aaron), Dale (Morris), and Jody (Frank); grandchildren Joey (Josie), Brittany, Gillian, Zackary, and Mia; great-grandchildren Parker and Rylan; sisters Cora, and Thamsie; sister-in-law Lillian; brothers-in-law Levi, and Wilfred. He was predeceased by his father John Albert, mother Rosanna, brother George Henry, sisters Theresa and Minnie. Visitation was held at the St. Thomas Anglican Church, Sandy Cove. The funeral service took place at 1 o'clock on Sunday, March 25 with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating.

WHITEWAY, John Joseph
Passed away peacefully at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on March 17, 2012, Mr. John Joseph Whiteway of St. Julien's, NL, in his 84th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children Edward (Bonnie), Lillian (Edward), Phyllis, Anne (Wayne), Joan, Gordon (Laverine), Rose (Kevin), Kenneth (Regina), Daphne (Dwayne), Sharon (Roy), and Cora (Jeff); sister Nora (Timothy) McGrath; grandchildren Karen, Bobby, Dwayne, Daisy, Diane, Andrew, Andrea, Sylvia, Nicole, Chelsea, Julie, Jason, Jarvis, Blair, Desmond, Jessica, Kendra, Amy, Candace, Chanda, Valerie, Adrian, Sydney, Cameron, and Jackson; 18 great-grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Maude, son Kevin Whiteway, mother Agnes Whiteway, father George Whiteway, sister Bridget Whiteway, brother Ignatius Whiteway, and son-in-law Leo Alyward. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony and continued at the St. Williams Roman Catholic Church in St. Julien's from where the funeral mass followed at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20 with Fr. Anthony Nwaohiri officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
