PATEY, Charlotte (Lottie)
St. Anthony

Passed away on March 11, 2007, Lottie Patey, age 92 years. Leaving with a lifetime of memories son Renard (Ruby) Patey; daughter Juanita (Jack) Pace; grandchildren James (Lisa) Ashmore, Anne (Craig) Blackwood, Jodi (Rich) Brown, Rana Patey, and Ted (Loretta) Lethbridge; great-grandchildren Samantha Blackwood, Danielle Brown, Sabrina Lethbridge and Cassie Lethbridge; sisters-in-law Elsa Carpenter, Stella Carpenter and Viola Patey, and a wide circle of other family and friends. Visitation took place at K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony. The Funeral service was held at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in St. Anthony at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13 with Rev. Canon Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, Roddickton and St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay, Funeral director.

GIBBONS Sr., Roland
Forrester’s Point

Passed away on March 11, 2007, Roland Gibbons Sr. of Forrester’s Point, age 69 years. Leaving to mourn wife Sybel; children Roland Jr. (Peggy), Ivan (Jonie), Daisy Gibbons (Sam), Kirby (Edith), Donna Parrill (Wilfred), Susan Applin (Derek) and Kathy Hughes (Boris); grandchildren Corey (Glenda), Christopher (Sheena), Cody, Casey, Courtney, Renita and Kirby (deceased); great-grandchildren Marty and Natalie. Visitation took place at the Anglican Church in Forrester’s Point from where the Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14 with Rev. Hiedel officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Levinia Caines Fillatre, Funeral director.

CULL, Anastasia (Troy)
St. Anthony Bight

Passed away on March 12, 2007, Anastasia Cull age 58 years. Leaving to mourn her husband Willie; daughter Heather; son Harrison; sisters Minnie (Patrick) and Gertie (Baxter); brothers Vince, Mike, Dennis (Leone), Felix (Edna) and Gary (Flo), as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony. The Funeral service was held at the United Church at St. Anthony Bight with Rev. McGonigle officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

CULL, Lottie Mary (Tucker)
St. Anthony Bight

Passed away on March 17, 2007, Lottie Cull, age 49 years. Leaving to mourn husband Kenneth; sons Christopher, Aaron and Adrian; mother Myrtle; sisters Joy (Walter) and Beverley; brothers Gary (Theresa) and Joey; nieces Christa (Brent), Heather, Amanda, Cheryl and Megan; nephews Cory (Shelly), Frankie, Tyler, Justin, Andy, Darryl, Brian, Matthew, Damien, Kyle and Jordan; great-nephew Jamie; great-niece Jasmine; mother-in-law Dulcie; sisters-in-law Joan (Vernon) and Holly (Vernon); brothers-in-law Stanley (Donna), Will, Dan (Angela), Todd (Lisa) and Trent (Brandy). She was predeceased by father Joseph, sister Pamela, brother Rexton, father-in-law Maxwell Cull, sister-in-law Ann Cull and nephew Andrew. Visitation took place at K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony. The Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20 at the United Church in St. Anthony Bight with Rev. McGonigle officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral director.

CHAMBERS, Clyde
Anchor Point

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clyde Chambers announces his passing on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at the Strait of Belle Isle Health Centre, Flowers Cove in his 81st year. He leaves to mourn his daughter Merina Genge (Mike Sinnicks); three grandchildren, Jackie (Cecil) Noseworthy, Janice (Damon) Dredge and Pamela (Graham) Way; six great-grandchildren Sheena (Christopher), Sandi, Nicolette, Timothy, Rebecca and Quinn; brothers Ronald (Miriam) Chambers of Blue Cove; sisters-in-law Laura Chambers of Flowers Cove and Christiana Chambers of Pond Cove, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Dora Chambers, his parents Caleb and Sophia Chambers and brothers Eli, Hubert, Absalom, George, Eli and Maxwell (twins) Chambers and sister Sophia Penney. Visitation took place at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Anchor Point from where the funeral service took place on Friday, March 23 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steven Maki officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Doctor’s Brook. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix, Bear Cove.

COLES Jr., Archibald
Green Island Brook

Passed away on March 22, 2007, Archibald Coles Jr., age 44 years. Leaving to mourn wife Daphne; daughter Bianca; parents Arch and Hazareth Coles; brothers Alonzo (Beatrice) and Ivan (Betty); sister Beatrice Short (Boyce); uncle Lush Coles; nieces Susie, Shana and Dominique, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by sister Susie Eileen and brother Brian John Coles. Visitation took place at St. Andrew’s Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 25 with Rev. Smith officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Danielle Galgay, Funeral director.

RICHARDS, Albert
St. Anthony

Passed away on March 24, 2007, Albert Richards, age 83 years. Leaving with a lifetime of memories wife Doris; children Calvin (Susan), Morgan, Betty, Cora, Harvey (Juanita) and Thelma Jacobs (Morley); brother Clement (Florence); grandchildren Pamela, Paul, Jennifer, Justin, James, Jasmine, Robert, Betty, Gavin, Pamela Alyward, Louis, Stephanie, Amanda, Malerie Jacobs, Shawna Jacobs and Zachery Jacobs; great-grandchildren Christian, Stephen, Jonathon, Mason, Matthew and Morgan, as well as a wide circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27 at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in St. Anthony with Rev. Canon Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. HUTCHINGS, Marven William
St. Paul’s

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marven Hutchings (May 24, 1962 - March 26, 2007) announces his passing on Monday, March 26, 2007 at his family residence in St. Paul’s at the age of 44 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his father Leonard Hutchings; brothers and sisters Isaac (Maureen) Hutchings of Lethbridge, Carrie (Don) Murrin of St. John’s, Hattie (Leo) Emberly of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Elaine (Ron) Pittman of St. John’s, Chris Hutchings of Stephenville, Faron (Kim) Hutchings of Innisfail, Alberta, Calvin (Karla) Hutchings of Fort McMurray, and Lorraine (Perry) Muise of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; nieces and nephews Craig, Tina, Collin, Kirk, Crystal Lee, Nadine, David, Trent, Dustin, Ashley, Danielle, Brittany, Jonathon, Kristen and Byron, great-nieces and nephews Brandon, Joshua, Cassidy, Paytin and Harmony, as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Evelyn, brother Richard, and nephews Darryl and Calvin Jr. The family received friends at the Anglican Church, St. Paul’s on Tuesday from where the Funeral service took place on Friday, March 30 at 3 p.m. with Rev. James Pratt officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, St. Paul’s. as expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca

SEAWARD, Lemuel James
Mary’s Harbour

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lemuel Seaward announces his passing at Mary’s Harbour, Labrador on March 26, 2007 in his 72nd year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Doris (Rideout), and children Pauline McLean (Steadman) of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Lemuel Jr. (Darla) of Goose Bay, Tony of Fort McMurray of Alberta, Shawn (Jean) of Fort McMurray, Curtis (Lorraine) of Fort McMurray and Shirley Starkes (Dave) of Fort Saskatchewan; 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on March 30, 2007 at St. Mary’s the Virgin Anglican Church in Mary’s Harbour.

BENNETT, Adrian Harold
Daniel’s Harbour

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Adrian Bennett announces his passing at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his four sons Ray (Bella) of Rigolet, Taylor (Deanna) and Jeffrey (Dale) of Grand Prairie, Alberta and Gregory (Jenna) of Swan Hills, Alberta; four grandchildren Kelsi, Aaron, Bailey and Jade; his mother, Mrs. Elsie House, age 98, residing at the Interfaith Home, Corner Brook; brothers and sisters Colin (Marjorie) Bennett of Corner Brook, Janet (Tom) Worthman of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Cornelius (Doreen) House and Norma House, both of Corner Brook; step-brothers and sister Henry House (Edith) of Bellburns, Ronald (Margaret) House of Corner Brook, Roy (Mariam) House and Emmanuel (Sylvia) House, both of Bellburns and Emma Dawe (William) of Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father James Bennett, 1935 and stepfather Bill House, 1979. Visitation took place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday and at Holy Cross Anglican Church, Daniel’s Harbour on Friday from where the Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 31. Cremation followed. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca

TAYLOR, Sidney
Ship Cove

Passed away on March 29, 2007, Sidney Taylor, age 87 years. Leaving to mourn brothers Lance and Otto; stepson Wallace (Ivy) and Clayton (Pearl); stepdaughters Dora (Edward) and Judy (Norman Hillier); stepson-in-law Cecil Humby; 17 step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of friends and other relatives. He was predeceased by his wife Myrtle (Regular) Taylor, parents Lydia and Jordon Taylor, brothers Isaiah, Thomas, Stewart, Robert and Norman, sister Mae and stepdaughter Sybil Humby. Visitation took place at the Pentecostal Church in Ship Cove from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 1 with Pastor Bennett officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Danielle Galgay, Funeral director.

POLLARD, Hubert
Englee

Passed away on March 30, 2007, Hubert Pollard of Englee, age 70 years. Leaving to mourn sons Bruce and Hubert Jr.; daughters Marina and Evelyn; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers; five sisters and a large circle of other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents Roy and Cinderella, brother James and sister Annie. Visitation took place at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 with Pastor Grimes officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral director.
