Passed away peacefully at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on March
3, 2003. Sophia Penney (nee Gaulton) in her 83rd year. She
was predeceased by parents George and Una Gaulton at Barr'd Harbour, husband
Arthur and daughter Palma . Leaving to mourn sons Oscar (Elaine) of Savage Cove
and Sherman (Cheryl) of Cambridge, Ontario; daughter Pauline (Terry) of St. Anthony;
grandchildren Mark, Jared, Keri, Penny, Janet, Lance, Tracy, Krista, George and
Kimberly, and two great-grandchildren Alexis and Zachary. Visitation took place
at the funeral home on West Street . The funeral service took place at 2 p.m.
on Thursday at the United Church in St. Anthony with Rev. John Maich officiating.
Interment followed at Mount Patricia Cemetery in Corner Brook. Funeral arrangements

March 5, 2003, Dorcas Hunt in her 82nd year. She is predeceased
by her husband Frank and son Lloyd. Leaving to mourn daughter Nellie (William);
grandchildren Gina and Aurthur Ash, Francis Hunt and Dawn Vasaglene, great-grandchild

HUNT, KATIE MARIE
Jan. 2, 2003 - March 26, 2003
Born Jan. 2, 2003 at Royal Alexandra
Hospital in Edmonton and transferred to Stollery Children's Hospital where she
underwent open heart surgery at 5 days old. On March 26, Katie
passed peacefully away in the arms of her mom, surrounded by family and caring
staff of Stollery Children's Hospital. Deeply saddened, yet cherishing the short
time Katie was with us are her mom Mae Kearney; dad Eric Hunt and sister Erica.
Katie will be sorely missed and always remembered by her family and friends,
especially Nan and Pop Kearney; Nan and Pop Hunt of Conche; aunts and uncles
Aunt Darlene (George) who was there for us when Katie was born and when she passed
away, thanks Darlene, Karen Byrne Andy), Chris Kearney (Charlene), Judy Hunt
(Deon), Dale Hunt (Terry), Delsie McGrath, Marie Byrne (Ken), and Clayton Hunt
(Racheal); cousins Mackenzie, Toni, Gregory, Barry, Tyson, Toby, T.J., Jonanth
and Gary; godparents Anne and Brendon Fitzpatrick of Conche, as well as a large
number of great-aunts and great-uncles and other cousins. A memorial service
was followed by a cremation on April 1 at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Sylvan
Lake, Alberta. Burial will take place in Newfoundland at a later date.
The
Kearney and Hunt families would like to thank all who helped in any way during
the illness and passing of Katie Marie. Maybe you said a prayer, maybe you sent
a card, maybe you made a phone call, in whatever way you helped, we want to thank

28, 2003. She was in her 79th year. Left to mourn are son Bob (Nina);

Michelle, Nicole, Peter and Glenn; brother Stan; sisters Shirley and Carman,

daughters Ettie (Percy) Hopkins of Bide Arm and Lucy (Garland) Stuckey of Pike's

sisters Hettie Hampshall of Sheffield, England, Nellie (Herbert) Humby of Roddickton,
Lucy (Reginald) Fillier and Chatfield Randell of Englee; 23 grandchildren;
44 great-grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren, as well as a number
