It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jacob Applin of Shoal Cove West, NL, announce his passing on Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's at the age of 51 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Rebecca; children Dana (Sterdie) Sheppard, Bawine Line and Fabian (Jenny), Daniel's Harbour and Hailey; grandchildren Brayden, Kalan, Brooklyn, Julia and Angelica; sisters Ethel (Robert) Coombs, Sheila (Wade) Barney, Ivy (Elias) Noseworthy, Alma (Wilbur) Tucker, Valerie (Harvey) Gaulton, Gertrude (Cyril) and Peggy; brother Ross; parents-in-law Imelda and Wallace Coles; sisters-in-law Ruth (Spike), Shirley (John), Susanne (Gerald), Patsy (Randell), Norma and Iris (Brian); brother-in-law Henry (Delores) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Muriel, sister Lucy, brothers George and Gordon. The family received friends from St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Reef's Harbour on Wednesday and Thursday from where the funeral service took place on Friday, June 8 at 2 p.m. with Rev. H. ATKINS, Kathleen Mary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kathleen Atkins of Port au Choix, NL, (1923 - 2012) announce her passing on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Lowell (Margie), Sharon (Sten), Myles (Evangeline), Juanita (Gerald), Cynthia (Tom), Felix (Beverley), Edgar (Joan), George, Gloria (Calvin), Mary, Beatrice, and Jacqueline (Keith); 31 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Atkins, partner Otto Plowman, sisters Mary and Elizabeth, brothers Ignatius, Alex, Bill and Jack, children Myles and Flora, and grandchildren Kathleen, Barry, Peter and Madonna. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix on Wednesday and Thursday. The funeral service took place on Friday, June 22 at 2 p.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church. BEAUDON, Lawrence Emanuel
Passed peacefully away at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders on June 26, 2012. Mr. Lawrence Emanuel Beaudoin of Reef's Harbour, NL, in his 80th year. He leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memories his wife Lillian; sons Oneisaphore (Neila), and Skip (Doris); daughters Semone (Jim), Emily (Melvin), Velma (Danny), Wanda (Maurice), Carol (Con), and Margie (Raymond); grandchildren Tina (Wayne), Bill (Shannon), Danielle (Josh), Trina (Kenn), Colin (Jennifer); Joey (Kelly); Terra (Junior), and Sabrina; great-grandchildren Colby, Ash, Charlotte, Ty, and Brianna; step-great-grandchildren Taylor, Ethan and Grace; brother Cosmo (Rowena); sister Semone (the late Thomas); and sister-in-law Angeline (the late Arthur). He was predeceased by his mother Margaret, father Oneisaphore, daughter Wanda, in-laws Thomas, Arthur, Aaron, Leah, Christanne, Henry, Ida, Absalon, Mary Anne, Thomas, James, and Joseph, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Visitation was held at St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Reef's Harbour from where the funeral service followed at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 29 with Rev. Harold Harvey officiating. BLAKE, Mary Ann
Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on June 23, 2012, Mrs. Mary Ann Blake of Straitsview, NL, in her 92nd year. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memoires her children Martha (Edward), Edgar (Bessie), Hazel (Wilmore), Dorothy (Clayton), Gordon (Helen), and Todd (Kerrie); her 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her stepbrothers Wesley (Winnie) and Francis (Selma), and a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Israel Blake, children Harvey, Gladys, and Francis (Selma), sister Sarah Jane Bishop, father William, mother Victoria, stepfather Walter, stepbrothers Ambrose and Nimrod, stepsisters Joan and Blanch. Visitation was held at the Central United Church in Straitsview from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26 with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. CLEMENTS, Margarette Josephine
Passed away peacefully away after a battle with an illness at the White Bay Central Health Centre on June 27, 2012, Mrs. Margarette Josephine Clements of Roddickton, NL, in her 52nd year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Elvis; daughter Tara; mother Hilda Canning; brother Roger Canning; sisters Wynita (Ralph), Loretta (Aiden), Emma (Jack), Lisa (Roger), and Denise (David), and a wide circle of other family and friends. Visitation was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, with Pastor G.B. Pinksen and Pastor C. Passed away peacefully at the Strait of Belle Isle Health Centre on June 10, 2012, Mr. Samuel Dredge Sr. of Black Duck Cove, NL, in his 77th year. He leaves to mourn wife Hannah; sons Max (Betty), Sammy (Dawn), and Dean (Faith); daughters Sadie (Camille), Ida, Wanda (Gord), and Trudy (Sam); grandchildren Adrienne (Jebby), Trey (Leanne), Archie (Charlie), Tanner, Sheridan, Chastity (Randy), Alicia (Jamie), Kendra, and Kanisha; great-grandchildren Gracie Hanna, Deacon, and Katie; step-grandchildren Ashton, and Anita; brothers Stephen (Susie), Howard (Thelma), John (Marguerite), Cecil (Annie), and Wilfred (Elizabeth); sisters Cecily (the late George), Gladys (the late Jacob), Laverne (Dan), Viola (Angus), and Lillian (Philip), and a large circle of other family and friends. DUMARESQUE, Myrtle
Passed away at James Paton Memorial Hospital on June 13, 2012 Myrtle May Dumaresque of Lanse Au Clair (Capstan Island) in her 83rd year. Predeceased by daughter Betty, father Gardner, mother Ursula, brother Clarus, and sister Hattie. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband Elias, sons and daughters Stanford (Barbara), Edward (Cozette), Joyce (Bart), Grace (Rocky), Andrew (Marcella), Bruce (Kimberly), Vernice (Greg) as well as grandkids and great grandkids Jennifer (Logan, Rider) Jeremy, (Joshua, Tyler, Mya), Shannon, Shane, Nicole, Carolyn, Damien, Carolyn, Sarah, Ursula, and Cecilie. Funeral services took place from St. Andrew's Anglican Church Lance Au Clair on June 16, 2012 and were conducted by Rev. Norman Cutler.

Passed away peacefully at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on June 1, 2012, Mrs. Rilla Fillier of Roddickton, NL, in her 98th year. Mrs. Fillier leaves to mourn her beloved children Mae (Thomas) Waskiewicz-Jackson, Michigan, USA, Rifford (Gaye) Fillier, Bide Arm, Edwin (Minnie) Fillier, Roddickton, Wilburn (Joan) Fillier, Roddickton, and Eric (Jessie) Fillier, Roddickton; 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren, plus other relatives and friends. Visitation was held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service took place on Monday, June 4, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rene S. Cassell officiating. GENGE, Montrose "Mon"
Passed away suddenly due to a tragic accident on June, 26, 2012, Mr. Montrose "Mon" Genge of Anchor Point, NL, in his 62nd year. Mon leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Una; sons Pierre (Jackie) and Monty (Judy); grandchildren Jagger, Linden, Dustin, Jade, and Dayna; brothers Abe (Jane), Doug (Bertha), Brone (Bill), Troy (Connie), Steward (Dorcas), (the late Emanuel Jr.) Fiona; and Marvin (Louise); sisters Beulah (Jake), and Millicent (Clift), nieces and nephews Karen (Mike), Stephen, Rick (Crystal), Benay (Troy), Annette (Ashley), Jeffrey (Judy), Trina (Dave), Andy, Ward (Brenda), Easta (Dan), Dane (Jadean), Murray (Tina), Jason, Trixie (Leroy), Tyson (Sabrina), and Andrew, as well as a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his mother Dora, father Emanuel, father-in-law Garfield Chambers, brother Emanuel Jr., brothers-in-law Calvin and Allan Chambers. HANCOCK, Wallace
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace Hancock of Forteau, NL, announce his passing on June 23, 2012 at the Long Term Care Unit in Forteau at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Dorothy; daughter Jennifer; sons Brandon, Thomas (Ena), and Wallace (Adrienne); grandchildren Tristan, Toby, T.J. Kohl, Chanelle, Patrick, and Mitchell; brothers Edward, Douglas, and Russell; and sister Shirley, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Blanche Hancock. Visitation took place at the Gospel Hall in English Point on Sunday and Monday from where the funeral service took place Tuesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. with Mr. Eric Fowler and Mr. Francis Barney officiating. HYNES, Mary Ann
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Ann Hynes of New Ferolle, NL, announce her passing on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 52 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sisters Kathleen Myers, Iona Tatchell, Doreen Doyle, Emma Coates and Marilyn Hynes; brothers John Jr., Raymond, Willis, Seymour, Joseph and Danny; a very special niece Shannon and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents John and Catherine Hynes, brother Ambrose, sisters Susie and Rebecca. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Francis Kelly of Port au Choix, NL, announce her passing on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Gordon (Irene), Theresa (Byron), David (Ivy), Dereck (Judy), Regina, Vera (Terry), Lloyd, Harrison (Sharon), Genevieve (Austin), Michael (Denise), Marie (Daryl), Madeline (Calvin), Elsie (Mark), Kevin (Laura), Mercedes (Harvey) and Gary (Kim); 33 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters Kevina, Agnus, Delia and Ann; brothers William, Michael and Joe; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Alphonsus, parents Michael and Lillian Cormier, sisters Mary and Margaret, brothers Lloyd, Edward and Kevin. MITCHELMORE, Minnie
Passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Centre after a lengthy struggle with illness, Mrs. Minnie Mitchelmore of Pond Cove, NL, in her 60th year. Left to mourn her loss with heavy hearts are her beloved husband of 42 years Wyman; her sons Wyman Jr. (Danette), and Wayne (Tina); her grandchildren Angel, Kalan, Nikita, Ty and Ash; her mother Jane; sisters Rachel (Steve), Judy (Tom), Eileen (Sterling), Beulah (Joe), Dorcas (Dan), and Jackie (Derek); and her brothers Roy (Rhoda), Andrew (Flora), Reg (Kathy) and Jim (Yvonne). She leaves to mourn common-law husband Gerald Hughes; mother Susie Noseworthy; sister Hazereth (Dave); brothers Levi (Audrey), Laud (Sarah), and Primas; sister-in-law Rosie; nieces and nephews and the Hughes families, and a large circle of family and friends. PYNN, Margaret Eileen
Passed peacefully away at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Saturday, June 2, 2012, Margaret Pynn (Decker) of St. Anthony, NL, at the age of 81 years. She was predeceased by her parents Garland and Dorcas Decker, brothers Reginald, Maxwell and Harold Decker and son-in-law Jim Wells. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Wilfred; daughters Dale Wells, Sandra Blake (Tony), Yvonne Gulliver (Randy), Maxine Sandell (Larry), and son Garry Decker (Karen); her grandchildren Angela Bingey (Phillip), Noland Blake (Tennelle), Natalie and Neland Blake, Steven and Jason Gulliver, Niki, Garry, Melody, Sydne and Brandon Decker; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Myrtle Elliott (Ross-deceased), Dorothy Anderson (Gower), and Bessie Campbell (Seymore); brother Douglas (Frances); and sisters-in-law Rose Anderson (Dorman) and Violet Allen (George), as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. ROBERTS, Mount Frank
Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre on June 18, 2012, Mr. Mount Frank Roberts of St. Anthony, NL in his 83rd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his beloved wife Lydia; daughters Penny Simms and Rochelle (Lloyd) Sexton; grandchildren Tobi (Doug) Chilko, Frank (Petrina) Simms, Jo (Cody) Barrett, Cody Roberts and Grace Roberts; sisters Jessie Colbourne, Eliza Perry, Marina (Ephriam) Sparkes, Rita Chaytor, and Melva (Dave) Whitten; brothers Guy (Audrey) Roberts and Donald Roberts as well as a very large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and step-mother Edna, son Perry, sister Minnie, brothers Roland and George, brothers-in-law Max Colbourne and Alonzo Perry. Visitation was held at the Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service which was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 from the Salvation Army Church with Majors Dinzel and Kathleen Baggs officiating. SIMMS, Clayton
Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on June 28, 2012, Mr. Clayton Simms of St. Anthony, NL, in his 82nd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, wife Bertha; son Larry and daughter-in-law Dale; grandchildren Rhonda (Brian), and Roxanne (Jason); great-grandchildren Kaidence, Lukas, Nickolas, and Lillie; brother Garland and brother-in-law Abraham Pittman (Dorothy), and many nieces and nephews. He will be forever remembered and sadly missed by many family and friends. He was predeceased by his son Dannie (who passed at six months old), his parents Hayward and Susan, brother Roland (Gertie), and sister Mary March (Vernon). Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service which took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 2 with Rev. Stephanie McClellan officiating. SPENCE, Shara Lynn
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shara Spence of Port au Choix (residing in Grande Prairie, Alberta, announce her passing on Thursday, June 7, 2012 in Grande Prairie at the age of 29 years. TUCKER, Caroline
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Caroline Tucker of Reef's Harbour, NL, announce her passing on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Virginia, Archibald (Eveline), Thomas (Phyllis), Joyce (Sandy), Harriet (Clyde), and Shirley (Harold); 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Halfyard; brother Samuel (Cicely) Coombs; sister-in-law Elaine and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Philip, daughter Diana, grandson Ewan, great-grandsons Nicholas and Alex, brothers Henry, Donald, Isaac and Cecil, sister Mahalla, son-in-law Ralph, brothers-in-law James and Walter, sisters-in-law Christiana, Vera and Marion. Visitation took place at St. Thomas Becket Anglican Church in Port au Choix on Friday, and Saturday from where the funeral service was held on Sunday, June 17 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Paulette Bugden officiating. Interment followed at French Cove Cemetery, Reef's Harbour. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website at www.fillatre.ca
