It is with great sadness the family of the late Keith Hancock announce
his passing at the Labrador South Health Centre in Forteau on July
2, 2009 at the age of 46 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories wife Glenda;
sons Geoffrey, Kirby, and Scott; parents Henry and Ruby Hancock; two sisters
Kimberly (Bert), and Karlene (Perry), as well as a large circle of other
relatives and friends. Visitation took place at the English Point Gospel
Hall in English Point on Friday and Saturday from where the funeral was
held on Sunday July 5, at 2 p.m. with Mr. Alex Drybrough and Mr. Francis
Barney officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery in Forteau.

Passed away at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on July
3, 2009 in his 79th year, Cyril Patrick
Flynn, (Nov. 4, 1929 - July 3, 2009). He
leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his eight children Tony (Alice)
of Conche, Catherine Pelley (Wade) of Main Brook, Brian of Fort McMurray,
Alberta, Gerry (Betty) of Croque, Patrick (Lori) of Fort McMurray, Alberta,
Joan Hurley (Gerard) of Croque, Ronald (Annie) of Croque and Danita Wiseman
(David) of Espanola, Ontario; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;
four sisters Anita Flynn of St. John's, Marie Byrne of Conche, Ellen Byrne
of Conche and Eileen Lidster of Brigus; two nephews/brothers Frank Flynn
of Fort McMurray, Alberta and Ronald Flynn of Croque and a large circle
of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife (Ann) sister Elsie,
brother Ron, and parents Michael and Rose Flynn. The funeral service was
held at the Roman Catholic Church in Croque on Tuesday July 7, at 2 p.m.
with Fr. Devas officiating. Interment followed at the community cemetery.

Kelly announce
his passing on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in
Port Saunders at the age of 56 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving
memories his wife Susan (nee Plowman); daughters Josalee (Trent) Flynn,
Corner Brook and Lorna (Keon) Genneaux, Port Saunders; son Andy (Crystal),
Devon, Alberta; grandchildren Tori, Victoria, Kelsey, Tristan and Owen;
brothers Matthew (Bertha), Port au Choix, James (Joy), Hawkes Bay, Maurice
(Angelina), Fort McMurray and George (Hazareth), Port au Choix; sisters
Ida (Leo) Gould, Port au Choix and Caroline (Newman) Sinnicks, Hawkes Bay;
brother-in-law Edmund Hynes, Port au Choix; mother-in-law Nellie Plowman,
Bartlett's Harbour, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other
relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Owen and
Millicent Kelly, sister Hilda, brother Owen and father-in-law Eugene Plowman.
Friends and family visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix on Wednesday
and Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial took place on Friday, at St.
Therese's Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment at the Interfaith
Cemetery, Sandy Cove with Monsignor Jim Robertson officiating. As expressions

FUREY, Irene (nee Coles)
Savage Cove
Irene Furey passed away peacefully at the age of 60, surrounded by loved
ones on Thursday, July 9, after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. Born
in Savage Cove, NL. on June 29, 1949, she was the eldest child of Randell
Coles and Edna (Way). She is remembered with many loving memories by her
husband of 38 years, Jim Furey; daughters Janine (Christopher) White, Joanne
(Harry) Cooper; her cherished grandchildren Kathleen and Jane White; her
seven brothers and sisters, Bob Coles (Betty and children Miranda and Robbie),
Wade Coles, Sheila Dredge (Leslie and children Rodney and Darcy), Trudy
Matchim (Gilbert and daughter Paula) Lloyd Coles (Trudy and children Kaitlin
and Chantelle), Sharon Coles (Tony and children Tony and Tori); Anne Croxen
(and children Kobe and Kaydon); brother-in-law Jerry Furey; sister-in-law
Helen Sullivan and many other treasured family and friends. The family
would like to express their gratitude to the many family, friends and care
workers who helped Irene during her illness. Rested at Caul's Funeral Home,
LeMarchant Road. Visitation took place on Friday, July 10 and Saturday,
July 11, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Prayer Service took place on Sunday,
July 12 at 12 noon in Caul's Chapel. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday,
July 14 at 2 p.m. at St. Mark's Church in her home town of Savage Cove.
Her ashes were buried in St. Mark's Cemetery among the many generations
of family and friends that have passed before her that called Savage Cove

Passed away at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre on July 11, 2009,
Julia Tucker,
age 80 years. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Harold Sr.;
children Harold (Fanny), Gloria (Bill), and Dean; grandchildren Jamie (Shelly),
and Boyd (Heidi); great-grandchildren Alexis, Anna and Alyson; sisters
Marjorie (Gilbert) Taylor; brother-in-law Clyde (Eliza) Tucker; sisters-in-law
Nellie Way, Sylvia Applin, and Johanna Beaudion. She was predeceased by
her parents Stephen and Alice Way and brothers Benjamin, Gordon and Raymond.
Visitation was held at St. Margaret's of Scotland Anglican Church in Reef's
Harbour from where the funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday July 14, with
Rev. Kris Gosse officiatiang. Internment followed at the Church Cemetery.

Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family Norman
Jr. Giles (June) at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday,
July 17, 2009 at the age of 63 years. Left to mourn his wife Sylvia (nee
Rowsell) of 41 years, his children Terry (Lori), Tony (Donna) both of Deer
Lake, Quentin (Wendy) and Tracy, both of Fort McMurray, Alberta; his grandchildren
Melissa-Lee, Tanika, Stephanie, Caitlin, Jamie, T.J., and Cody; his mother
Mrs. Lillian Hillier (Malcolm Noble); his sisters Nellie (Mrs. Alex Simms),
Vivian (Mrs. Eugene Andrews) and Yvonna Giles; his special sister Wanda
(Mrs. Tom Humphries); brothers Max (Rhodena) Giles and John (Joan) Giles.
Norman was predeceased by his father Norman Giles Sr., sister Jean Giles
and his brother-in-law James Langdon. He also leaves to mourn a large circle
of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family, friends and his extended family.
Visitation took place at Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main
Street, Deer Lake, on Sunday July 19 between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
and on Monday morning, July 20 at 10-11 a.m. The funeral service took place
on Monday, July 20 at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army Church in Deer Lake,
with Majors Wayne and Betty Pike officiating with the burial following
at the church cemetery, Wights Road, Deer Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations
in Norman's memory made to the Autism Society of Canada, Local Chapter,

With great sadness we announce the death of Nettie Elizabeth Payne at Western
Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday July 22, 2009,
surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 85 years. She leaves to
mourn her five sons; Bob (Daisy), Alvin Daphene), Albert (Norine), Harvey
(Mary) and Clifford (Valerie), her sister Hilda, her daughters-in-law;
Diana (Ronnie) and Florence (Reg); her sisters-in-law Lilly, Joan, and
Margaret Max); her brother-in-law Basil (Maxine); her 22 grandchildren;
31 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mother was predeceased
by her husband Benjamin, special friend Bill Nichols, son Greavett, and
brother Gordon. She also leaves to mourn many other treasured family and
friends. Visitation took place at St. Mary's The Virgin Anglican Church
in Cow Head, on Thursday July 23, from 7 - 9 p.m., Friday July 24, from

Kenneth (Bertha) of Cow Head; her daughter-in-law Evelina of Parsons Pond;
her sister-in-law Mary Payne of Cow Head; her 50 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren,
and 46 great-great-grandchildren. Mother was predeceased by her husband
Thomas Decker, son Alex Decker; her grandchildren Clara Brown, and Calvin
Decker; her great-great-granddaughter Kylie Bennett; her brothers Gerald,
Alex, and Stanley Payne; her sister Annie Payne, her parents Charles and
Deborah Payne, and her son-in-law Ronald Parsons. She also leaves to mourn
