ADAMS, Harold
Passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Jan. 31, 2014, Mr. Harold Adams of St. Lunaire-Griquet, NL in his 77th year. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Evelyn; his sons Oral, Calvin, (Lisa), Waddell (Gaye), and Burt (Robyn); his daughters Patricia (Stafford), Mary (Randy), and Joan (Glenn); as well as his brother George and sisters Shirley and Goldie; also 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and close friends. Harold lived to see the passing of his parents Kenneth and Edith Adams, his brothers Melvin, William, Wilson and his sister Nellie. Visitation was held at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3 with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Burial followed the funeral service in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

APPLIN, Darlene Rebecca
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Darlene Rebecca Applin of Shoal Cove West, NL announce her passing on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 43 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughter Hailey of St. John's; granddaughter Angelica; boyfriend Alvin Baines; sister Vira (Glen) of Devon, Alberta; niece Hannah; nephew Hayden; grandmother Rosanna Applin; aunts Susan, Bessie, and Dora; uncles Eric, and Garland; the Coombs family; other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Sarah and Edmund. Visitation took place at the St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Reef's Harbour on Sunday and Monday from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Irving Letto officiating. Interment followed at Doctors Brook Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. COOMBS, Joyce Elva
Passed away into peace on Jan. 4, 2014 at the John M. Gray Centre in her 82nd year, Mrs. Joyce Elva Coombs of Plum Point, NL. Left with loving memories of her life are her brother Julian Samson; sisters Bertha Payne (Samson), and Judy Gibbons (Samson); sons Percy Coombs, William Coombs, Clifford Coombs (Leona), and Chesley Coombs (Margaret); daughters Vermeta J. Coombs (Winston), Matilda J. Coombs (Hiram), Nancy Ann Coombs (Ralph), and Elizabeth House (Dean); grandsons Daris Coombs (Shelia), Gavin W Coombs, Bradley Coombs, Curtis R. Diamond, and Benjamin Coombs; granddaughters Medina Genge (Toma), Sandra Coombs, Lisa Coombs, and Edna Coombs; great-grandchildren Cole Coombs, Carla Coombs, and Kyus Genge. Joyce lived to see the passing of her husband George W. Coombs, mother Sarah Samson (Hoddinott) father Frank Samson, brothers Garland Samson, Chesley Samson, sisters Daisy Saunders (Samson), Grace Taylor (Samson), Alma Samson and Rosie Chambers. Visitation took place at the Church of the Advent in Plum Point, from where the funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9 with Rev. Harold Harvey and layperson Matt Osborne officiating. Burial followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Pond Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

COOMBS-GOULD, Viola
Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Jan. 24, 2014, Mrs. Viola Coombs-Gould of Flowers Cove, NL in her 71st year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Angus C. Gould; sons Alvin (Mary), Roland (Myrtle), and Wade (Paula); daughter Lorraine (Clay) Taylor; grandchildren, Gavin C. Gould (Chasity), Sheldon C. Gould (Kayla), Ashley Taylor (Marlin), Clay Taylor (Courtney), Keirsten C. Gould (Brandon), and Christopher C. Gould; great-grandchildren Anna Colleen C. Gould, Chase Kirby Williams-Gibbons, and Keegan Robert Dyck, partner of Colleen Jarvis Genge, as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Colleen C. Gould and her parents Philip Dredge and Evelyn Chambers. Visitation was held at the St. Boniface Church in Bear Cove followed by the funeral service which was held on Monday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Irving Letto officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

DECKER, Donald Melvin
Passed peacefully away at his home in Roddickton on Jan. 31, 2014, Mr. Donald Decker in his 63rd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of nearly forty years Violet; sons Brian and Conrad; his daughter Beverly (Darryl); two grandchildren Bethani and Jake; six sisters; one brother; his mother-in-law; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; special cousin and friend Melvin Decker; two special friends Ben and Edgar, as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother. Cremation had taken place with visitation at the United Church in Roddickton from where the memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, with Rev. John McGonigle officiating. A private interment will be set at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd., St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

ETHERIDGE, Louise
Passed away peacefully at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Jan. 23, 2014, Mrs. Louise Etheridge of Roddickton, NL in her 93rd year. Left to mourn her passing are her sons Eric (Eileen) Wilcox, Elmira, Ontario, Linister (Noami) Wilcox, Roddickton, Cecil (Shirley) Wilcox, Kitchener, Ontario, Stephen Wilcox, Kitchener, Ontario, and Kevin Wilcox, Roddickton; her daughters Melita Fillier, St. Anthony, Edith (Dale) Hoch, Waterloo, Ontario, Pansey (Joseph) Gulley, Duntroon, Ontario, Helen (Robert) Morrison, Flesherton, Ontario; as well as 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation was held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Roddickton, from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan.29 with Rev. Chris Hewlett officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

GALLIOTT, Susan Rebecca
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Susan Rebecca Galliott (nee Parsons) of Corner Brook, (formerly of Eddies Cove West) NL, announce her passing on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her four daughters Joyce Mayo (Jack), Labrador City, Marjorie O'Brien (Harry), Labrador City, Karin Galliott O'Keeffe (Nicholas), Corner Brook and Susan Kennedy (Nick), Labrador City; one son Terry Galliott (Diane), Edmonton, Alberta; 11 grandchildren Gene, Molly, Troy, Jackie, Ricky, Tim, Ryan, Meaghan, Chantal, Shelby and Joshua; six great-grandchildren Samantha, Alex, Maddison, Hannah, Rebecca and Kaleigh; sister-in-law Mirella Parsons, Woody Point, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Walter, Oct. 7, 2001, brother Fred Parsons and sister Gertrude Galliott. Visitation took place at Holy Innocent's Anglican Church in Hawkes Bay on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service was held on Monday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden officiating. Interment followed at the family plot at Doctor's Brook. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to Corner Brook Long Term Care Home. GENGE, Albert
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert Genge of Anchor Point, NL announce his passing on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughter Valerie; sons Lawrence (Enid), and Leslie (Susan); granddaughter Gina; grandson Andy; two very close friends Pierce Genge and Howard Pilgrim; and a circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Lucy, son Albert Jr., sisters Mary and Joanna, brothers Cyril, Jacob, Matthew, Lawrence, and Romeo. Visitation took place at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Anchor Point on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral service was held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Irving Letto officiating. GIBBONS, Martin
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on Jan. 14, 2014, Mr. Martin Gibbons of Pigeon Cove, NL in his 72nd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Annie; daughters Eileen (Vaughn), Joy (Keith), Lillian (Ramsey), and Mary Jane (Shawn); son Martin (Leona); grandchildren Christopher, Danica, Chantelle, Jonathon, Ian, Katie, Bradley, Victoria Lynn, Brianna, and Nickolas; sisters Lillian (James) Coombs, and Edith (Isaac) Dredge; brothers James (Gladys), and Edmund (Mary Ann), as well as large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Steven and Myrtle Gibbons. Visitation took place at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove followed by the funeral service which was held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19 with Rev. GOULD, Raymond Joseph
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond Joseph Gould of Port au Choix, NL announce his passing on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Ellen; sons Bud (Raymond JR), Eddie (Liga), Billy (Kim) of Port au Choix, and Scott (Karen) of Pasadena; daughters Lorena (Frank) of Corner Brook, Bonnie (Yvonne), Rhonda (Henry) of Port au Choix, Iris (Todd) of Gallants, Anna (Mitch) of New Brunswick, and Elizabeth of Port au Choix; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brothers Bruce, John, Melvin Carberry; sisters Mary, Clara, Paulette, Yvonne, Laura, and Janice; best buddy John Lavers and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Norman Scott, grandchildren Alix and Trevor, parents Leo and Charlotte, parents-in-law Jane and Domnic Scanlon, brother Leo (Jake), sisters Darlene, Donna, and Delores, brothers-in-law Kevin, Pat, Aloysius, Sherlock, Leo, and Matthew, sisters-in-law Betty, Elsie, and Alma. Visitation took place at Fillatre's Funeral Home on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Funeral service was held on Thursday, Jan 9 at 2 p.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Fr. Britto officiating. HUMBY, Henry George
Passed away peacefully at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Jan. 6, 2014, Mr. Henry Humby of St. Lunaire-Griquet, NL in his 81st year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires his wife Lavenia; sons Raymond (Bessie), Robert (Gina), and Michael; daughters Blanche, and Pearl; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Lucy and Ivy, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Eli and Agnes Humby, brothers Joe, Ches, and Cyril, sisters Edith and Jessie, son Lawrence, and grandson Jim. LETTO, Claude
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Claude Letto of L'Anse au Clair, NL announce his passing on Jan. 6, 2014 at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 60 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories mother Marjorie; brother Chesley; sisters Herselia (Hurbert); and Gloria (Frank) along with nephews and nieces and a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Raymond Letto. Visitation was held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church in L'Anse au Clair, followed by the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 with Rev. Norman Cutler and Rev. Francie Keats officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup.

McLEAN, Elizabeth
Passed away into peace at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Jan. 31, 2014, Mrs. Elizabeth McLean of Eddies Cove East, NL at the age of 96 years. She will always be remembered by her daughters Laura, Rosie (Phil), Mamiellen (Whyman), Sarah, and Lavenia (Tom); her sons James (May) and Stedman (Pauline); her brother Walter (Hazel); 35 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She lived to see the passing of her beloved husband Azariah McLean, her son Norman McLean, and sons-in-law Cecil Parrill, Stedman Letto and Calvin Dyson. Visitation was held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3 with Rev. Marlene Harvey and lay person Maxine Hughes officiating. Burial followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Eddies Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

MITCHELMORE, Truman
It is with great sadness the family of Mr. Truman Mitchelmore of St. Anthony, NL announce his passing on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony with his devoted and loving wife and family by his side. Left to mourn with fond and special memories are his wife Ruby; his son Kirby (Tracey) Mitchelmore; daughter Kim (Kirby) Short; four grandchildren Jordan, Brandon, Danielle and Blake; as well as his brothers and sisters Merona Gibbons, Shirley Simms (Sterling), Sybil Piercey (Lloyd), Primus Mitchelmore, Baxter Mitchelmore (Melinda), Inga Coombs (Lester), Harvey Mitchelmore (Marilyn), Deano Mitchelmore and a large circle of other family and friends. Truman lived to see the passing of his parents Leander and Minnie Mitchelmore, his brother Howard Mitchelmore (Mae), brother-in-law David Gibbons, parents-in-law Ernest and Amelia Elliott, their lives he has touched. Visitation took place at the funeral home on West Street. The funeral was held on Monday, Jan. 27 from St. Mary's Anglican Church in St. Anthony at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul C. Findlay officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

OLLERHEAD, Daniel
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Daniel Ollerhead of St. Anthony, NL. Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on Jan. 20, 2014 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, Mr. Daniel Ollerhead in his 81st year. He leaves to mourn with cherished memories his loving wife Margaret of 58 years; four beautiful children Gus (Kyla), Grace (Bill), Beverly (John), and Danny (Deanne); five grandchildren Rachel (Steven), Michael, Peter, William, and Alex; three great-grandchildren Morganne, Nathan, and Breanna; as well as extended family and many close friends. He is predeceased by his mother Rachel and father Augustus. Visitation took place at the funeral home in St. Anthony. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Anglican Church on Friday, Jan. 24, with Rev. Fr. Paul C. Findlay officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

PLOWMAN, Joseph Walter
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Walter Plowman of Port au Choix, NL announce his passing on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 at his family residence in Port au Choix at the age of 80 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Leona; children Gerald (Mona), Bear Cove, Jean (Craig) O'Keefe, Port au Choix, Carolann (Dennis) Caines, Stephenville, Sandra (Keith) Noseworthy, Barry (Winnie) of Port au Choix, Michael (Pam) Elmsdale, Nova Scotia, Paula (Barry) Taylor, Port Saunders, and Krista (Tim) St. Albert, Alberta; grandchildren Michael, Max, Melissa, Danny, Dean, Paul, Timmy, Tyler, Tony, Daniel, Christopher, Shelly, Vicki, Joey, Jeffrey, Brian, Amanda, Mackenzie, Melissa, and Megan; great-grandchildren Ajay, Amber, Alexis, Martin, Lucas, and Hunter; brother John Plowman, Ontario; sister Gladys Solo, Toronto; and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Brian, parents Edward and Beatrice and a number of brothers and sisters. Visitation took place at the family residence in Port au Choix on Monday and Tuesday. The funeral service was held at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. with Fr. Devine and Fr. Britto officiating. SAMSON, William Henry
Passed peacefully at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Jan. 22, 2014, Mr. William Henry Samson of Mary's Harbour, NL, in his 84th year. He leaves to mourn his wife Emma; children Clara (Jordon), Freeman (Bella), and Loretta (Junior): grandchildren Jeanette (Boyd), Rosetta (Craig), Lyle (Darlene), Brendon (Shandy), Conrad (Amanda), Chad (Christina), Cindy (Hayward), Claudia (Clinton), and Randal (Alysha); great-grandchildren Charley, Chelsey (Andrew), Bobby, Brittany, Braden, Sydney, Adam, Wesley, Carley, Jackson, Jack, Mitchell, and Reanne; step-brother Francis Smith, as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Hannah, father John, brothers James and Charles, sisters Clara and Mary Hannah. Visitation was held at St. Mary's the Virgin Church in Mary's Harbour followed by the funeral service which was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan, 25 with Rev. Gail Coley MacDonald officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
