Straitsview

Passed away on Jan. 5, 2006 at Curtis Memorial Hospital in her 76th year. She leaves to mourn her husband Wallace of 57 years; children Roy (Charlotte) Blake of Stoneville, Daphne (Gordon) Simms of St. Anthony, Tony (Sandra) Blake of Straitsview and Calvin (Joan) Blake of St. Lunaire - Griquet; stepmother Elizabeth Budgell; eight grandsons; six granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; two brothers; three half brothers and seven half sisters. Visitation took place at the Pentecostal Church from where the funeral service was held on Sunday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Primmer officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Tony Blake, Justin Simms, Noland Blake, Neland Blake, Ford Blake and Gary Pynn. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Wilfred Hutchings, funeral director.

NOBLE, BOYCE
St. Anthony

Passed away in the presence of his loving family at Curtis Memorial Hospital on Jan. 7, 2006, Boyce Noble, age 59 years. Left with fond memories are his wife Mavis; daughters Doreen, Tina and Angela Darling (Kevin); son Colin Hedderson (Brenda); eight grandchildren; one great- grandchild; mother Bertha; brothers Wilfred (Selma) and Dennis (Kristen); sisters Doris Simms (Eric), Audrey (Sterling), Pansy Shears (Monty) and Patsy Cull (Dwayne), as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Pearce and son Gregory. Visitation took place at the funeral home on West Street, St. Anthony. The funeral service was held at the United Church in St. Anthony on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. with Rev. John McGonigle officiating. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery at Fishing Point in St. Anthony. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Wilfred Hutchings, funeral director.

TUCKER, ISRAEL
Reef's Harbour

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Israel Tucker announce his passing on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006 at his family residence in Reef's Harbour at the age of 58 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his brothers and sisters Hazel Hynes, Ivy (Byron) Ellsworth, Emma (Dave) Ellsworth, Freeman (Colleen) Tucker, Rex (Sheila) Tucker, Gladys Tucker, Marie (Dorman) Caines, Mike Tucker and Gary (Rose) Tucker; special cousin Nancy (Bern Rumbolt), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents George and Gladys Tucker, sister Phyllis and brother Ralph. Visitation took place at St. Margaret of Scotland Anglican Church in Reef's Harbour on Saturday from where the funeral service was held on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Harrison Heidel officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in French Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.

WHITE, KENNETH STANLEY
Norris Point
Oct. 28, 1921 - Jan. 13, 2006

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kenneth Stanley White announce his passing on Friday, Jan. 13th, 2006 at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point, in his 84th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his cherished companion Vera Humber of Norris Point; daughter; Christine (Scott) Langdon of Norris Point; grandchildren Chere (Jody) Rice of Cormack, Ivan (Tammy) Langdon of Pasadena, Christopher (Christine) Langdon of Fort McMurray;great-grandchildren; Cara, Cody and Courtney of Cormack, Nathan of Fort McMurray, and Devon and Danielle of Pasadena; nieces and nephews Peggy (Frank) Zemp of Norris Point, Marina MacDonald of Pasadena, Wayne (Eileen) Humber of Ontario, Gloria (Wilfred) Major of Alberta, Deanna (Hubert) Blanchard of Kentucky, Derek (Cathy) Moore of Ontario, Marilyn Moore of Ontario, David Humber of St. John's, and Donna (Don) Sharon of St. John's; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Ellen Elizabeth (Nellie) White. Visitation took place on Saturday and Sunday at the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd in Norris Point from where the funeral service was held on Monday, Jan.16 at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Olsson officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories Brada, the mother of his children; sons Sandy (Bonnie) Brake ofNew Brunswick, Eddy (Carol Ann) Brake of Woody Point and Stewardy Brake of New Brunswick; six grandchildren Dylan, Darren, Katie, Julie Anne, Jamie and Sierra; mother Leah Brake of Trout River; brothers Ned of Ontario, Elwood (Tina) of Woody Point, Jan (Missie) of Ontario; sister Helen (Roy) of Trout River; father-in-law and mother-in-law Roland and Phoebe Barnes, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She leaves to mourn her husband Wallace; sons Dion (Cindy) Mudge of Fort McMurray, Keith (Cavel) Mudge of St. Albert, Alberta; stepsons Tom (Gracie) of Paradise, Bill (Janice) of Hawkes Bay; stepdaughter Evelyn of Englee; grandchildren Candace Mudge, Shane Mudge, Darrin Mudge and David Mudge; great-grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Venissa and Chantell,; sisters Alva Hutchings of Cow Head, Oppel Payne, Almeda Thornhill of Parsons Pond and Alma (Eric) House of Hawkes Bay; brother Donald (Phyllis) Verge of Parsons Pond, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Chantell; step-grandsons B.J. and Steven Maynard, parents Enos and Margaret Verge, brothers-in-law Stedman Hutchings, Arthur Payne and Samuel Thornhill. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clyde Chambers announces his passing on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Susan; son Aaron and family of Blue Cove, son Cyril and family of Airdrie, Alberta; daughter Ivy and family of Ottawa, Ontario and daughter Joy and family of New Brunswick; brother Stanley of Blue Cove and sister Virginia of Pond Cove, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at The Church of the Advent in Plum Point from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17 with Rev. Harrison Heidel officiating. WILLIAMS, EDNA CAROLINE
Forrester's Point

Passed away in the presence of her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on Jan. 15, 2006, Edna Caroling Williams, age 85 years. Left with fond memories are her four daughters Gloria (Gordon), Irene Vivian (Edgar), Jessie (Howard) and Priscella (Garland); son Colin (Rachel); five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Amelia, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Caroline was predeceased by her husband Joseph and daughter Irene Vivian. The funeral service was held at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Harrison Heidel officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Black Duck Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Wilfred Hutchings, funeral director.

CABOT, NORBERT
L'Anse au Loup

Passed peacefully on Jan. 16, 2006 at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Norbert Cabot, age 43 years. Left with fond memories are his wife Antionette Cabot; daughters Natalya Barney and Nicola Cabot; parents Stanley and Ellen Cabot; father and mother-in-law Richard and Laura Barney; brothers Terry (Jeana) and Evan (Jackie); sister Doreen; brothers and sisters-in-law Phyllis (Dennis), Thomas, Edward (Thelma) Barney, Rhoda (Elvis) Linstead and Camille (Shirley) Barney; nephews and nieces Draper, Denise, Arlene, Tracey, Hillary, Kaitlynn, Marven, Merlin, Angie, Keela, Nathan, Trevor, Kinza, Karen, Murray, Kimberly, Conrad, Jason, Nekita, Derek and Jenna, as well as a circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his two brothers Pius and Emeric Cabot. Visitation took place at Our Lady of Labrador Church in West St. Modeste from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19 with Fr. Tim officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery in L'Anse au Loup. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Levinia Fillatre, funeral director.

CHAYTOR, ANDREW
Conche
Jan. 27, 1987 - Jan. 18, 2006

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Andrew Chaytor announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006 at the age of 18. Andrew will be forever loved and missed by his parents Gerard and Angela; brothers Jamie, Brian and Perry as well as his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. The family received friends at Sacred Heart Church in Conche on Friday, from where the funeral mass was held on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. with Fr. Joseph Muchena officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home. YOUNG, GEORGINA (NEE RYLAND)
Passed peacefully away on Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, in the presence of her family at the Health Sciences Center in St. John's, Georgina Young, aged 91 years. She was born in Lance au Loup, Labrador on April 15, 1914. Leaving to mourn son Harvey (Arlene Dicks) and Wendy; daughters Sylvia (Bill Foley) of Badger Lake, Norma (Dave Swift) of Deltona FA; sister Florence, Lance au Loup; sister-in-law Sophie of Lewisporte; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, parents Maria and Jack Ryland, sisters Violet and Maude, brothers Fred, Stan, Gus and Stewart. Her friends were from across the province as she lived in many different places while her husband pursued his teaching career from Lance au Loup to Twillingate to Flat Island, BB, Fogo, Bay Roberts, Millertown and St. Phillips. Upon retirement they took up residence at Lewisporte where she lived for 32 years, enjoying a wonderful circle of friends and family. She recently decided that it was time to give up her cottage and car and she moved to St. John's to live at Cambridge Estates where in a short time she made another group of wonderful new friends. Visitation took place at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home in Lewisporte on Saturday and Sunday. The funeral service took place at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Lewisporte on Monday, Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. Interment followed at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery. Flowers were declined but as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in her memory to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lewisporte, the Children's Wish Foundation or to another charity of one's choice.

SINYARD, ABEL
St. Anthony

Passed peacefully away on Jan. 20, 2006, Abel Sinyard, age 93 years. Leaving with a lifetime of memories his wife Hilda; children Bill (Bonnie), Rita Cull (Glossen), Jim (Phyllis) and Sandra; grandchildren Linda Hillier (Tony), Patsy Pittman (Dan), Bill Sinyard Jr. (Cynthia), Wanda Sinyard (Wally), Lisa Sinyard (Paul), Terry Cull (Tara), Gordon Cull (Kathy), Judy Cull, Shari Sinyard (Paul), Monica Sinyard and Brian Sinyard; great-grandchildren Jody, Amanda, Ronnie, Ryan, Michael, Jessica, Stephanie, Ashley, Jessie, Kyle and Terran; brother-in-law Ray Squires Sr. (Grace); sister-in-law Emma Wells; daughter-in-law Irene Sinyard; special family friend Linda Anstey and a wide circle of family and friends. Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, Nellie Cull, age 98 years. Left with fond memories her daughter Louise (Fred) Greenham; granddaughters Wavey (Kevin) and Wanda; brother Ivan (Myrtle) of Roddickton; sisters-in-law Flostina Cull and Dulcie Cull, as well as many nieces and nephews. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Evelyn Spence announce her passing on Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook in her 72nd year. She leaves to mourn daughters Laura (Don) Walsh of Fleur De Lys, Ivy (David) of Port au Choix, Grace (Clifford) Dredge and Michele (Loomis) Dredge of Black Duck Cove; sons Ken (Daphne) and Donald (Carolyn) of Port au Choix; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Edna (Sam), Eudora, Irene (Edmund) and Maude; brothers Joe (Hilda) Lavers, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, sons George and Albert, brothers Peter and Albert. The family received friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home in Port au Choix on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. GILLARD, BAXTER JOHN
Bide Arm
Aug. 22, 1927 - Jan. 30, 2006

Passed away in the presence of his loving family on Jan. 30, 2006, Baxter Gillard, age 78 years. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Verna; son Randy; daughter Lisa; grandchildren Terrance, Chantel, Tany and Shae-Lynn; sisters Pearl (the late Herbert), Stella (the late Luke), Lucy (the late Grant), Maude (John)(the late Lester), as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Bessie Gillard and younger brother Fredrick. Visitation took place at the Apostolic Faith Church in Bide Arm from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, with Pastor Christopher Hewlett officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay, funeral director.

EARLE, WAYNE RALPH
L'Anse au Loup
May 1, 1954 - Jan. 31, 2006

It is with great sadness that the family of the laate Wayne Earle (May 1, 1954-Jan. 31, 2006) announce his passing on Jan. 31, 2006 at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony in the presence of his family, at the age of 51 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Celestine; daughter Coretta (Garland Fowler); grandchildren Dustin and Danielle; brothers John (Sylvia), Harvey (Ann) and Llewelyn (Rita); sisters Lily (Emanuel), Dorothey (Bernard) and Patsy (Morris); father and mother-in-law Hayward and Alice Normore, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Maude Earle; one brother and two sisters. The family received friends at the Gospel Hall in L'Anse au Loup on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2 with Mr. Eric Fowler officiating. Interment followed at L'Anse au Loup Gospel Hall Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup.
