ADAMS, Mary Helen
Passed peacefully away on Feb. 29, 2012 at the White Bay Central Health Centre, Mrs. Mary H. Adams of Roddickton, NL, in her 88th year. Leaving to mourn with heartfelt memories and love are her children Robert (Dorothy), Dulcie Pilgrim, Elva (Henry) Rowsell, Wilson (Peg), Jessie, Lawrence (Faye), and Floyd (Pat) and daughter-in-law Loretta; her 19 grandchildren, and her 38 great-grandchildren also a circle of dear friends. Mary H. Adams was no stranger to loss after losing her husband of 69 years of marriage, Kenneth Adams, her son Wilfred and son-in-law Donald Pilgrim. Visitation was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Temple in Roddickton from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, with Pastor G. B. Pinksen and Pastor C. Gaulton officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

BURT, Rubean
St. Anthony
Passed away into peace on Feb. 16, 2012 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 87, Mr. Reuben Burt of St. Anthony, NL. Left behind with a lifetime of loving memories his wife of 66 years Blanche; daughter Marilyn (Tony); grandchildren Christopher and Heidi; brother Cecil; special nephew and niece Roland and Effie McLean, as well as a very large circle of nephews, nieces, and friends. Reuben was no stranger to loss. He lived through the loss of his parents Jim and Winnifred, brother George, sisters Minnie (George) Compton, Mary Ann (Ambrose) Patey, Phyllis Burt, as well as a very special nephew Henry (Bud) Compton. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service on Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. from the Salvation Army Church with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Burial was held following the service. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

COOPER, Samuel
Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, Samuel Cooper at his residence in River of Ponds at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his common-law partner Pearl; children Janet (Alex), Kitchener, Ontario, Junior (Kim), Irishtown, and Maria (Peter), Georgetown, Ontario, extended family Viola (Frank), River of Ponds, Verna (Nish), Port Saunders, Linda (Darrel), Saskatchewan, and Jeanie (Jon), Gander; grandchildren John, Jason, Ashley, Billy, AJ, Katie, Nicholas, Tyson, Mason, Daley and Jacob; sisters Martha and Marion; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Tryphenia Cooper, sister Janet and brother Richard. The family received friends at St. Peter's Anglican Church in River of Ponds on Thursday and Friday from where the funeral service took place on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paulette Bugden officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port aux Choix. Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, Samuel Cooper at his residence in River of Ponds, NL, at the age of 85 years. HUNT, Raymond Joseph
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home, St. John's, Raymond Joseph Hunt of Conche, NL, at the age of 75 years. He is predeceased by his wife Mary; son Barry; parents Michael and Stella Hunt and brother Fred. Leaving to mourn seven daughters Linda (Sean), St. John's, Bernadine (Al), Cambridge Bay, Ruth (Rolf), Vancouver, Gladys (Gary), Vancouver, Dianne (Gerry), St. John's, Pam (Aaron), St. John's and Lori (Brad), St. John's; five sons, Paul (Marcella), Conche, Tony (Daphne), Conche, Brian (Nandini), Toronto, Ken, Kamloops, and Rex (Jackie), Toronto; his 22 grandchildren, Christopher, Stefan and Gina; Krista and Gregory; Erica, Jeffrey, Amy and Katelyn; Kristen and Michelle; Jason; Sheena, Braedyn and Connor; Kioko; Sarah and Jenna; Samantha; Jack and Maggie; and Abby. Also leaving to mourn are his sisters Doreen, Loretta, Elizabeth, Bridget and Pauline; brothers Leo, Bob and Jerry. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fanny House of Bellburns, NL, announce her passing on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons Kevin (Madonna), and Roger (Valda), of Bellburns; grandchildren Carson (Josie), Allison (Clarence), and Justin (Brandie); great-grandchildren Jeremiah and Dorman; brothers John (Bessie), Rendell (Rosie), Ross (Joyce) and Eli (Norma); sisters Marion (Ralph) and Elizabeth; sister-in-law Mercedes; brother-in-law Don Perry; special niece Christine; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Eli and Aggie, brother Harvey, sister Bessie Perry and brother-in-law Charlie Payne. The family received friends at St. Aiden Anglican Church, Bellburns on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from where the funeral service took place on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. with Rev. PATEY, Emmeline Sabina
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Feb. 29, 2012. Mrs. Emmeline Patey in her 91st year. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memories are sons Grenfell (Arminee), and Rodger (Diane); daughter Sharon (Ernest); niece Myra; grandchildren Kim (Jamie), Paul (Gina), Hovan, Jeff, Krista, and Kara; great-grandchildren Adam, Kaleb, Alexis, and Haley. She was predeceased by her husband Norman, parents, brother, sister, and infant granddaughter. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, with Rev. Stephanie McClellan officiating. RANDELL, Winston Thomas
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Winston Thomas Randell announce his passing on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at his home in Roddickton, Mr. Winston Thomas Randell in his 71st year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Winnie Randell, Roddickton; sons Shawn (Shirley) Randell, Marshall (Dawn) Randell, Darwin (Serena Sutton) Randell, and Darill (Sheila) Randell, all of Kitchener, Ontario; his daughter Kay (Doug) Anderson, Kitchener, Ontario; four grandchildren (Sarah, Alex, Dylan, and Abby); two great- grandchildren (Camryn and Callie); brother Woodley (Jane) Randell, Bide Arm; sisters Audrey Pollard, Stephenville; Betty (Bennett) Denney, Englee; Della (Rene) Cassell, Roddickton, as well as a wide circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation was held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service followed at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, with Pastor George Burton officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

SHEPPARD, Faith Ellen
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Faith Sheppard of Forteau, NL, announce her passing on Feb. 16, 2012 at the family residence in Forteau at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories children Sheila, Max (Brenda), Morgan (Nathalie), Nancy (Tim), Reg (Cherri), and Sheldon (Tina); grandchildren Michael, Yves, Ryan, Max, Amy, Alicia, Kennedy, Mackenzie and Johnny; sisters Rosita Robinson and Dora Payne; brother Steadman Brophy, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Max, parents Steadman and Rose Brophy, and sister Freda. Visitation took place at the Anglican Church in Forteau on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service took place on Monday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Norman Cutler officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Forteau. As expressions of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup.

SMITH, Lucy Edith
Passed away into the peace of everlasting rest at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Feb. 8, 2012, Mrs. Lucy Edith Smith of St. Lunaire-Griuet,NL, in her 92nd year. Left behind to mourn in the wake of her passing are her sons George (Emma), Hayward (Netta), Thomas (Clara), Stephen (Lois), Francis (Mary), Henry (Maureen), Edwin (Bernadine); her daughters Stella, Louie (Terry), Ruby, Edith (Ron), and Natalie (Jon) who was raised as a daughter, as well as 29 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren and siblings Everett (Lucy) Earle, Hector (Jean) Earle, Cecil Earle, Stella White and Anne Pilgrim and sister-in-law Alma Earle, All grateful to her for a lifetime of fond and loving memories. Lucy was no stranger to loss herself, she mourned the passing of her beloved husband Stephen on March 21, 2001, and two of her children Charley and her daughter Louie, as well as her parents Heman and Edith Earle and brothers Thomas, George and Douglas. Visitation was held briefly at the funeral home in St. Anthony and then at the Pentecostal Church in St. Lunaire-Griquet, from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Burial followed in the old Salvation Army Cemetery in St. Lunaire-Griquet. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

STEVENS, Susanna
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Susanna Stevens of Shoal Cove East, NL, announce her passing on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012. She was in her 89th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories brother Eldred Stevens and special niece Susan White, as well as other nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends. Visitation took place at the funeral home in St. Anthony from where the funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Moore officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Savage Cove with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
