It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joyce Mahar announces her passing on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007 at William Osler Hospital, Brampton, Ontario at the age of 56 years. She leaves to mourn her children Marie (Lyndon) of Brampton, Tonya (Toni) of Toronto and Ivan; two grandchildren Nautasha and Jagger; sisters Beatrice, Mary, Vina, Doris, Hilda, Hazel, Neila, Clara and Jessie; brothers Roy, Sandy, Ikey, Ivan and Kerry; very special friend Patrick Kennedy, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Guy, parents Alexander and Mabel Newcombe. The family received friends at St. Anne’s Chapel, Castor River North on Wednesday and Thursday from where the funeral service took place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9 with Fr. Roger officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Bird Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to Breast Cancer research. Leaving to mourn her husband Anthony; children Lorne (Mary), Pius (Arlene), Michael (Hazel), Barry and Evelyn, all residing at Castor River North; grandchildren Derek, Dennis, Donna, Darren, Mitch and Kelly; brothers Raymond and Chesley Rumbolt; sisters Nellie Rumbolt, Philomena Rumbolt, Dulcie Hynes, Melvie Tatchell, Emma Rumbolt and Rebecca Locke; special friends Agnes Beaudion, and Irene Rumbolt, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Anna Marie, parents Reginald and Mary Rumbolt and sister Marie Hughes.
