Passed away at his late residence in Englee on Feb.
4, 2001. He was in his
60th year. Leaving to mourn his wife Virtue; children Joy Eddison
(Orlando), Pleaman (Rose), Morris (Sheila) and Tina Randell (Everett); seven
grandchildren, Kevin, Travis, Chantel, Christa, Nathan, Megan and Tamara; four
brothers; three sisters and a large number of relatives and friends. The funeral
service took place at 2 p.m. on Feb. 7 from the Pentecostal Church in Englee
with interment in the church cemetery. His remains rested at the church. Funeral
arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre Funeral Home, Roddickton, Wilfred
Hutchings, funeral director.
PATEY, WILLIAM

Passed peacefully away at Roddickton Health Centre on Feb.
4, 2001. He was
in his 97th year. Leaving to mourn wife Annie; daughters Mae Metcalfe,
Juanita Patey (George), Rebecca Pollard (Wilfred), Karen Chow (Jack), Alice
Barrett ( Orlando ) and Debbie Thuroit (Gerard); sons, Warrick (Joan), Bentley
(Mae) and Rex (Debbie); 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother Norman
(Emmie); also a large number of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by
daughter June in 1952, grandson Lindsay in 1985, parents, five brothers and
three sisters. The funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Feb. 6 from the
United Church in Main Brook with interment in the church cemetery. His remains
rested at the church. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K.M. Fillatre

PENNEY, CLARA B.
1918-2001
Passed away unexpectedly at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health
Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on Feb. 5, 2001. Leaving to mourn
with many loving memories sons Chamberlain (Gladys), Melvin (Marilyn), Cyril
(Violet), Fred (Margie), Terry (Karen) and Brian (Ruth); daughters Ruby (Charles)
Savory, Alfreda (Jim) Martin, Wallie (Barry) Roberts, Irene (Bruce) Hiscock,
Lorraine (Chung) Lam and Pauline (Austin) Penney; son-in-law Herbert Bath;
37 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a large number of relatives and
friends. She was predeceased by husband Ellis and daughter Bernice (Bath).The
funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 10 at St. Andrew's Anglican Church,
Port Hope Simpson with interment in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Officiating clergy
were Rev. Charlene Taylor of St. Andrew's Anglican Church and Pastor Gillett
of Calvary Pentecostal Church, Port Hope Simpson. Funeral arrangements by Gordon

sisters, Winnie Randell (Maxwell) of Bide Arm and Lily Randell (Manuel) of
Roddickton; caregiver Mrs. Evelyn Cassell (Elias) and many other relatives
and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Noah in February, 1993. The

in Englee with interment in the church cemetery. Her remains rested at the

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Freeman
Gould announce
his passing at the Flowers Cove Health Centre on Monday, Feb. 26, 2001.
He was in his 78th year. He leaves to mourn his wife Jessie; three
daughters Marilyn ( Arnold ) Pike, Marjorie (Dave), Mabel (Brian) O'Grady;
five grandchildren Susan, Sheldon, Michael, Shawn and Sarah; sister Hazel (Bill)
Genge; brothers Cyril (Ivy), Carl (Maria); sister-in-law Bridget; brother-in-law
Bill Chambers and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased
by his parents John and Sarah; two sisters Marjorie and Emily; three brothers
Issac, Eric and Harvey. The family received friends at St. Boniface Anglican
Church in Bear Cove on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral service
took place on Thursday, March 1, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Elder officiating.
Interment followed at the church cemetery at Bear Cove. As expressions of sympathy
flowers or donations can be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements
were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
