CAMPBELL, Evelyn Mary
Passed away into peace on Dec. 11, 2013 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Mrs. Evelyn Mary Campbell of Cook's Harbour, NL, in her 66th year. Left behind to mourn her loss together are her dear husband of 48 years Lyle; her sons Lorne (Gladys), and Lloyd (Kim); as well as her sisters and brothers Delphine (Len), Charles (Joy), Emanuel (Joan), Greta (Ches), Andrew (Marilyn), Paul (Debbie), Ray and Angeline (Maurice); grandchildren Darryl (Jenna), Cory (Kayla), Jake (Trina), and Teala (Chad); great-grandchildren Hayley, Dylan, Tyson and Logan. Visitation was held at the United Church in Cook's Harbour, from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15 with Rev. Gus Pendleton and Alf Larkin officiating. Burial followed the service in the United Cemetery at Cape Norman. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

COMPTON, Eddie David
Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Dec. 21, 2013, Mr. Eddie David Compton of Englee, NL in his 75th year. He leaves to mourn his wife Louise Compton; stepdaughters Shirley Compton (Hubert), and Alfreda Kosher (Wayne); stepsons James Compton (Betty), Kevin Compton (Connie), Edward Compton (Rita), and Alfred Compton (Paulette); sister Cavell Lane (Raymond); brother Charlie Ellsworth (Alzena); 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven nephews; two nieces, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John Galliott and Cecilia Eastman and stepson Henry Compton. Visitation took place at the Pentecostal Church in Englee from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28 with Pastor Sansome officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

COMPTON, Stella Florence (nee Gillard)
Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Dec. 17, 2013, Mrs. Stella Florence Compton (nee Gillard) of Bide Arm, NL in her 88th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires her 12 children Ruth Randell, Maude (Carl) Elliott, Mona (Charles) Tucker, Loretta (Eric) Curtis, Earl (Anita) Compton, Eric (Patricia) Compton, Iris (Kevin) Karpovich, Evelyn Compton (Ronald Sotnikow), Baxter (Sylvie) Compton, Dennis Compton, Phyllis (Randy) Franklin, and Selma Bradley; daughter-in-law Irina Compton; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three sisters Pearl Keefe, Maude Cull and Lucy Tetford; along with her remaining in-laws Verna Gillard, Velma Compton, George and Nellie Compton, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Luke, son Frederick Compton, two granddaughters Jessica Jane Compton and Wendy Nicole Powell, her parents Frederick and Bessie Gillard, her two brothers Baxter Gillard and infant Frederick William Gillard. Visitation took place at the Apostolic Faith Church in Bide Arm from where the fuenral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28 with Rev. Chris Hewlett officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

FENNEMORE, Harriet
Passed away into peace on Dec. 29, 2013 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Mrs. Harriet Fennemore of St. Anthony, NL in her 66th year. Harriet leaves behind her daughters Avina (Wade), Marian (Clay), Vanessa (Justin), Denise (Chris), and Noreen (Sean); stepson Baxter (Gloria); stepdaughter Janice (Tom); 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Sharon and Catherine; brothers John and Wilson; her good friend Gloria Patey as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service, which was held from the St. Anthony United Church in St. Anthony on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 with Rev. John McGonigle, Dm officiating. Burial followed the service in the United Cemetery at Fishing Point. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

GARDINER, Theresa Lewis
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Lewis (Gardiner), age 67 years on Dec. 31, 2013 at the Palliative Care. Resident of Sandringham (formally of Conche), she is predeceased by her husband Bill in 1998 and her parents Jack and Effie Gardiner (Conche). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons Jerome (Heather) Lewis, and grandson Rieley, Paradise, and Jason Lewis (Lora), Sandringham; sisters Mildred (Francis) Joy, St. Patrick's, Agnes (Adlore) Hughes, Corner Brook, Bernetta Flynn, Fox Trap, Evelyn (Frank) Carroll, Paradise, Marie (Harvey) Tibbo, Mount Pearl, and Maryann Conway, St. John's; brothers John (Della) Gardiner, Alberta, Tony (Theresa) Gardiner, CBS, Dennis (Maxine) Gardiner, Goulds, and Jerome (Christina) Gardiner, Conche; special brother-in-law Leonard (Margaret) Wiseman, Conche; Johnny Lewis, and many special friends. Visitation took place at Oram's Funeral Home, Eastport on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service took place on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Roman Catholic Church, Culls Harbour. Interment followed in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.

MORENCY, Joseph Alexandre Conrad
Passed peacefully on Dec. 30, 2013 at the Health Sciences Complex in St. John's, Joseph Alexandre Conrad Morency at the age of 68 years. Left to mourn are his wife, Iris; and his children: Karen (Roylie) Beaudoin of Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, Lucinda (Michel Thiffault) of Quebec City, and Kirby of Fort McMurray, Alberta; step-children, Randy (Sonya) Earle, Hughey Earle (Rexybelle Desamito Puguon); grandchildren, Mandy and Steve; step-grandchildren, April, Carliee, Brady and Ethan; mother, Marguerite Morency (Alex Dumas), Lourdes de Blanc Sablon; sisters and brothers, Lucille, Quebec City, Colette (Rollo), Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, Bernard (Chibougameau), Ronald, Sept Isles, Florent, Sept Isles, Denise (Rene), Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, Claude (Éliane), Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, Mario (Elaine), Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, Olivette (Ricky), Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, Elaine (Yvan), Quebec City, Jeffrey (Caddy), Quebec City, Sylvio (Lise), Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, Isabelle, Sept Isles; and the mother of his children, Elaine Letemplier, Sept Isles; mother-in-law Mary Barney, L'Anse au Loup; sisters and brothers in-law, Marilyn (Ivan, Nameless Cove, Sheila (Melvin), L'Anse au Loup, Ruth (Chesley), Forteau, Jean (James), L'Anse au Loup, and Margaret, Deer Lake, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Alexandre Morency, sister, Alfreda, sister and brothers-in-law, Gilles, Leonard (Greta) and Jonathan. The funeral service took place at Notre-Dame de Lourdes Church at Lourdes de Blanc-Sablon, Quebec on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 with interment at the church cemetery.

PATEY, Cecil Lloyd
Passed peacefully away on Dec. 17, 2013 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital, Mr. Cecil Lloyd Patey of St. Anthony, NL in his 78th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children Kirby (Priscilla), Leona (Gerald), Carolann (Robert), Betty (Overton), Sandra (Eric) Rhonda, Tommy and stepdaughter Gail (Tom); 10 grandchildren; brothers Jacob and Archibald (Maisie); and sister Blanche (Ron) as well as special friend Olive Saunders. He was predeceased by his wife Sybil, parents Moses and Clara Patey, brothers Gideon and Clarence and sisters Louise and Una. Visitation took place at the funeral home in St. Anthony from where the funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. from the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

PATEY, George Albert
Passed away into peace on Dec. 25, 2013 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Mr. George Albert Patey of Main Brook, NL at the age of 79 years. Left to mourn are his dear wife of 51 years Juanita; his children Iris, Kathryn (Dennis), Jean (Steve), and Brian (Lisa); as well as his grandchildren Aaron, Marc (Robin), Samantha, Davin, Tylee (Christopher), Zane, Leah (Casey), Aaron, and Riley; and great-grandchildren Landon, Zander, Richard and Owen. George was predeceased by his son Lindsay, father James Hedderson and stepmother Emma, mother Rose Mackie, stepfather James Mackie, sister Elizabeth and brother Leonard. He will be sadly missed by all. Visitation took place at the United Church in Main Brook from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29 with Rev. John McGongile officiating. Burial followed the service in the United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

PROSPER, Patrick George
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patrick George Prosper (1950-2013) of Port au Choix, NL, announce his passing on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 63 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Mary; daughter Marina (Roger) Philpott of Port au Choix; son Patrick Jr. (Lana) of Ottawa; grandchildren Aimee, Emily, Leah, and Matthew; great-grandchildren Shyisha, Jayden, and Matalie; sisters Marjorie (Gerald) House, Helen (David) Howell, Dorothy (Steve) Quility, Alice Nurse (Victor), Miranda, and Betty (Terry) Shawchuck; brothers Terry (Betty Ann), Sam, John (Mary), and Henry and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Betty (Elizabeth), parents Henry and Marjorie and brother Tom. Visitation took place at Fillatre's Funeral Home in Port au Choix on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service was held on Saturday at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church in Port au Choix at 2 p.m. with Fr. Britto officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
