ALLINGHAM, Wayne Harold
Passed away into peace at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the young age of 49 years, Mr. Wayne Harold Allingham of Brig Bay, NL. Wayne leaves behind his loving wife of 18 years Juila; his daughter Gabrielle and sons Willie and Lucas, as well as his mother Caroline and father Ralph; siblings Betty (Wayne), Melvin (Rowena), Baxter (Rosie), and Sherman (Elaine); nieces and nephews Leanne, Brock, Astra, Joshua, Felicia, Ella, Lauren, Krystle, Destiny, Jonathan, and Lucas; and mother-in-law Elizabeth Genge. Wayne lived to experience the loss of his father-in-law Charlie Genge. Visitation took place at The Church of The Advent in Plum Point, from where the funeral service took place at 11 a.m. on Dec. 11 with Rev. Marlene Harvey and Rev. Harold Harvey officiating. Burial followed the funeral service in the Anglican Cemetery at Pond Cove. Funeral services were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

COMPTON, Thomas Edward
Passed away at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Dec. 14, 2012 at the age of 72 years, Mr. Thomas Edward Compton of St. Lunaire-Griquet, NL. Mr. Compton leaves behind, with loving memories, his sons Craig (Carolyn); Brian (Pauline); Glen (Joan); and Brent (Wendy) his daughters Mae (Sheldon); and Faye (Alasdair) as well as 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers and six sisters. Tom lived to see the loss of his wife Bernice, his sister Betty, his brother Roderick, his father John and mother Alverda. Visitation took place at the Pentecostal Church in Griquet from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18 with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Burial followed the service in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

GOULD, Glenda Mary
Passed on: December 19th, 2012

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Glenda Gould of Port au Choix, NL, announce her passing on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 62 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her brother Tony (Nora), Codroy; her twin sister Gertrude, Port au Choix; sister Marilyn of Mount Pearl; sisters-in-law Alma, Brenda, Sylvia, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Felix and Mary Ann, sisters Lizeta, Barbara, brothers Fintan, Alfred, Jean, and Gabriel. Visitation took place at Fillatre's Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service took place from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Lee Lainey officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.

LARKIN, Martin Erastus
Passed away suddenly at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Dec. 15, 2012, Mr. Martin Erastus Larkin of Cook's Harbour, NL, at the young age of 49 years. Left behind to take comfort in his memory and each other, are his loving wife Karen; his children Ashley White (Michael); Tiffany Mitchelmore (Wade), and Marty Larkin; his grandchildren Kira and Karley Mitchelmore and Breah White; his stepfather Harrison Woodward; his siblings Elizabeth Elliott (Bill); Stephen Larkin; Howard Larkin (Gladys); James Larkin (Girty); Lavenia Hedderson (Vincent); Ivan Woodward (Angela); Bernadine Woodward (Rick); Nicole Woodward and a large circle of close and loving friends. Martin lived to see the loss of Edith and Erastus Larkin and his mother Winnie Woodward. Visitation was held at the Church of St. Matthew's in Cook's Harbour, from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19 with Rev. Diane Smith and Lay Minister Alf Larkin officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

MACEY, Currie
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Currie Macey (May 5, 1939 - Dec. 28, 2012) of Green Island Brook, NL, announces her passing on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 73 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 53 years Roland; children Roger (Loretta), Mary Alice (Dean) Hughes and Joanne (Boyd) Parrill; grandchildren Darren, Leon and Andrea (Paul); brothers and sisters Lawrence (Jean), Eric (Mae), Sadie, Norma (Helen), Gorvin (Sarah), Selby (Lorraine), Winnie, Emily (Gideon), Garland (Priscilla) and Wade; sister-in-law Velma; brothers-in-law Whyman, Peter and William (Christine), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Selby and Mary Noseworthy, sisters Cassie and Rosie and brother Osbourne. Friends visited St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Lower Cove Saturday evening, Sunday and Monday from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Green Island Brook. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Corner Brook and Port au Choix. MOORES, Leonard Stephen
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leonard Moores of Pasadena, NL, (Formerly of Flowers Cove), (Dec. 26, 1948 - Dec. 27, 2012) announces his passing on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at his family residence in Pasadena in his 64th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Maralies; his daughters Michelle Moores (Brian Cooper) and Mary Moores; grandchildren Kristi-Lynn Maralies Moores and Martin Leonard Moores-Cooper; great-grandchildren Abby and Robby Moores; his siblings Abraham Jr. (Virtue), Clifton (Millicent), Iram (Helena), Edmund (Doreen) and David (Amanda) and his stepmother Margaret Moores, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Leonard and parents Eli and Laurola. Visitation took place from the United Church in Flowers Cove on Saturday, from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service took place on Monday, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. with Rev John McGonigle officiating. Cremation will take place with burial to follow at the family plot. PATEY, Gordon
Passed on: December 31st, 2012

Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on Dec. 31, 2012, Mr. Gordon Patey of St. Anthony, NL, a resident of Shirley's Haven in St. Anthony in his 84th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children Doug (Linda), Donna (Graham), and Diane (George); sister Ethel (Walt) Biles; his 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his wife Nina, parents Arthur and Eva Patey, brother Sidney, and sister Mabel Winsor. Cremation took place on Jan. 3, 2013. A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the family. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.

PITTMAN, Hubert William
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hubert William Pittman of Belburns, NL, (July 8, 1947 - Dec. 22, 2012) announce his passing on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre in Port Saunders at the age 65 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his brothers Norman (Freda), Bellburns and Gerald (Holly), Ontario; sister Eva, Corner Brook; nephews Paul, Wayne, Brian, Blair, Junior, Sean and Scott; nieces Jennifer, Tina, Lori Lynn and Bonita; and home care worker Janet House, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Mabel, brother John, sisters Annie, and Priscilla, and brother-in-law Larry. Cremation took place at Humber Valley Crematurium. A memorial service was held at St. Aiden's Anglican Church in Belburns on Friday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.

SMITH, Noah
Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Dec 25, 2012. Mr. Noah Smith of Raleigh, NL, in his 85th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Baxter (Diane), Tony (Patsy), Manuel (Sheila), Welgia (Donna), Theophilus (Elizabeth), and Noah (Bernitt); daughters Renne, Joy (Emad), Dorcas (Terry), Julie (Kerry), Connie, and Melvia (Hughie); 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers Willis (Nellie), Tom (Hilda), Barton (Virtue); sister Viola (Abel); sister-in-law Joan as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by wife Laura, granddaughter Trudy, mother Drucila, father John, sister Elizabeth, brothers Jack, Felix and Jerry. Visitation was held at the St. Paul's Anglican Church in Raleigh from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, with Rev. Diane Smith officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

SPENCE, Robert Gordon
Passed on: December 30th, 2012

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert Spence of Port au Choix, NL, announce his passing on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Vivian; son Dwight (Beverley); daughters Doris (Eldon), Melvina (James), and Lloyd; grandchildren Jason (Pam), Ashley, Chad, Dominique, Roxanne (Steve), Robert (Jen), Josh (Stephanie), and Ryan (Laura); great-grandchildren Ryan, Beau, Melissa, Jace, Kinsley, Chase, and Logan; sisters Sylvia Smith, Springdale, and Glenda (Bob) Radies, British Columbia; stepsisters Annette (Garth) Evely, and Dora Wellon; stepbrothers Lewis (Bride), Rene (Sheila), Vincent (Kay), Percy (Iona), Clarence (Lizeta), Lorrie (Bradea) Billard. He was predeceased by his parents Dora Spence and Pius Billard and stepmother Ella. Cremation took place at Humber Valley Crematorium, followed by a memorial service on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 with Pastor Steve Jenkins officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.

TAYLOR, Gilbert L.
Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Dec. 28, 2012. Mr. Gilbert L. Taylor of Raleigh, NL, in his 86th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Marjorie; son Paul (Chevone); granddaughters Kearstyn and Nikita; sisters-in-law Mamie and Mary, as well as large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Frederick and mother Martha; brothers Ronald, Garland, Raymond, and Arch; sister Irene; brother-in-law John; and sister-in-law Marie. Visitation was held at the Central United Church in Raleigh from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on the Dec. 31, with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Interment followed in the new church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
