LETTO, Catherine Cabot
L’Anse au Loup
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cathy Letto announces
her passing at the family residence in L’Anse au Loup on Dec.
3, 2006, at the age of 39 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her
husband Randy Letto; son Cody; parents Andrew and Patricia Cabot; brother
Andy Cabot (Pamela); sister Vanessa Rumbolt (Kirk); nephews Tony and
Calvin; nieces Keianna and Tamara, as well as a large circle of other
family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Jacob. Visitation
took place at Our Lady of Labrador Church Chapel in West St. Modeste
on Monday and Tuesday from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday,
Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Anthony O’Dell officiating, assisted
by Fr. Tim Moriarity. Cremation took place at Humber Valley Crematorium.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral
arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, L’Anse
au Loup.

St. Lunaire-Griquet
Passed away on Dec. 4, 2006, Loretta Bridger of St. Lunaire-Griquet,
age 57 years. Leaving to mourn husband Caleb; children Bradley, Belinda
Manuel (Lawerence) and Bill (Rhonda); grandchildren Brian Bridger, Danielle
Bridger, Kyle Manuel and Sheldon Manuel; great-grandchildren Kobe Peyton;
mother Rilla Fillier; sister Mae Waskiewiecz (Tom); brothers Winston
Fillier (Madonna), Wilbert Fillier (Joan), Edward Fillier (Minnie), Eric
Fillier (Jessie) and Rifford Fillier (Gaye); very special friends Audrey
and Wayne Hillier, Jennifer and Justin Hillier, Bobby and Dale Bowie,
Tim and Sarah, and a wide circle of other family and friends. She was
predeceased by her father Alfred and brothers Dorman and Freeman. Visitation
took place at the Anglican Church in Griquet from where the funeral service
was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6 with Rev. Gosse officiating.
Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Edward
Tucker,
formerly of Main Brook, announces his passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital
in Stephenville on Dec. 9, 2006 in his 83rd year. Leaving
to mourn wife Myrtle; children Joy (Walter), Gary (Theresa), Lottie (Ken),
Ben and Joey; grandchildren Christa (Brent), Christopher, Aaron and Adrian;
great-grandchildren Jamie and Jasmine; brothers Chris (Sheila), Bud (Marlene),
Herb (Eunice), Gord, Edward (Colleen) and Bob (Wanda); sisters Lottie,
Gloria (Tony), Gladys (Ted), Pearl (Jabez), Ann (Bob), Berdine, Joyce
(Ralph), Donna (Harris) and Joan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Raymond
and Jessie Simms, Melvin and Audrey Hillier, and his loving dog Lucky.
He was predeceased by his parents Wanetta and Albert (Ruth), brothers
Wilfred and Francis, sisters Verna and Effie, children Pamela and Rexton,
grandson Andrew, sisters-in-law Hildagard and Clara, brothers-in-law
Frank and Arthur.

Passed away on Dec. 12, 2006, Thomas Chubbs of Roddickton, age 33 years.

Passed away on Dec. 14, 2006, Dulcie Way, age 78 years. Leaving to mourn
sons Earl (Wavie), Alonzo (Judy) and Melvin (Gloria); brother Norman
(Nellie); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, as well as
many other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Llewellyn
and son Harrison. Visitation took place at St. Mark’s Anglican
Church in Savage Cove from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m.
on Monday, Dec. 18 with Rev. Heidel officiating. Interment followed in

Passed away on Dec. 20, 2006, Silas Edison, age 90 years. Left to mourn
sister-in-law Frances Hedderson and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased
by his parents, brothers Garland, Dorman, Walter and Thomas and sisters
Susie, Phoebe and Bertha. Visitation took place at the United Church
from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22
with Rev. Pendleton officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.

Passed peacefully away on Dec. 24, 2006, Janet Dawe, age 89 years. Left

Sabrina (Morgan) Pilgrim; sisters-in-law Blanche Biles, Bessie Budgell
(Charles), Dulcie Burry, Hilda Simms, Ethel Grier, and many other relatives
and friends. She was predeceased by husband George and sisters Effie
(Tasker), Maryann (Richard), Jemima (Ephriam), Elsie (Thomas) and Edith
(Herbert); brother Luke and great-grandson Noah Morgan Pilgrim. Visitation

Chambers announces his passing at Curtis Memorial Hospital
in St. Anthony on Dec.
31, 2006 in his 81st year. Leaving to mourn daughters Maryann
(Bobby) and Patsy (George); grandchildren Brian (Abby), Jamie (Jessica),
Kayla and Jasmin, and sister Virginia Toope. He was predeceased by wife

Betty Quinlan at the age of 47 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and

son Jamie (Trudy); grandchildren Chelsey, Jade and Jamie-Lee; parents
Allan and Beatrice Manuel of Griquet; brothers Bobby (Marlene) and Billy

St. Thomas Anglican Church in Sandy Cove on Tuesday and Wednesday from

Rev. Diane Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery.
