CAINES, RITA MARY
Port Saunders
Sept. 4, 1915 - Dec. 10, 2005

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Caines announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn are her children Elaine (Simon), Walter, Eugene (Marina) and Larry (Wanda) of Port Saunders, Richard (Cynthia) of Parsons Pond, Madonna (Henry) Schevers of Holland, Maureen (Robert) Lewis of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Marie Koker of Port Saunders, brother-in-law Gordon (Charolotte) Caines of Hawkes Bay and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Isaac, daughter Denise, son Kalvin, parents James and Eugenie Billard and 11 siblings. Rita was the last at 12. The family received friends at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Port Saunders on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. with Fr. Roger officiating. Interment followed at Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.

WHITE, CLARISSA (COLES)
Sandy Cove
Aug. 28, 1916 - Dec. 11, 2005

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clarissa White announce her passing on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005 at her family residence in Savage Cove at the age of 89 years in the presence of her loving family. She will be sadly missed by her family. Grateful for a lifetime of love are sons Ralph and Sterling (Clara); daughters Beulah (Stedman), Mary (Claude), Yvonne (Ross) and Dee Dee (Monty); son- in-law John; sister Hazel; grandchildren Wanda, Cherry, Brenda, Denise, Sybil, Stedman, Claude, Toby, Raymond, Dee Dee, Rodney, Trevor, Vanessa, Vania, Floyd, Beverly and Lisa; great-grandchildren Dara, Britta, Dillon, Jazmine, Nakita, Patrick, Tyra, Duncan, Chloe, Nicholas, Jordan, Kaiden, Konner, Keegan, Brandon, Jordan, Alexis, Yvonne and Mitchel. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, son Stewart, daughter Sybil, daughter-in-law Vina, parents John and Mary Margaret Coles, brothers Jacob, Ralph and Leslie, sisters Rose, Priscilla, Vera, Viola, Laurie and Ida. Visitation took place at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Sandy Cove on Sunday and Monday from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Diane Smith and Rev. Steven Maki officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Church Cemetery in Savage Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home Ltd., Port au Choix/Bear Cove.

PERRY, LAWRENCE (LARRY)
Hawkes Bay
May 14, 1951 - Dec. 12, 2005

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lawrence (Larry) Perry announce his passing at his family residence on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2005 at the age of 54 years. He leaves to mourn his wife Daisy; daughter Tracey (Andy) Sinnicks, Larry Jr. (Shelly) and Adam; grandchildren Andrew, Brandon and Shealyn; mother Edna; brothers Derreck (Juanita), Wade (Kathy), Jack (Jeannie), and one sister Rhoda (Keith), all residing at Hawkes Bay, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father John, brother Christopher. The family received friends at Holy Innocent Anglican Church in Hawkes Bay on Wednesday from where the funeral service took place on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment followed at Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.

DOYLE, TERRY
New Ferrolle

Passed away as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, Terry Doyle, age 41 years. Left with fond memories his daughter Sabrina, partner Patrina, brothers Cliff (Leona), Jeff, Tony (Bernie) and Jerome (Mervie); sisters Vonnie (John), Ivy (Wayne) and Anne (Ron); 17 nieces and nephews Ann (Ken), Vanessa (Chuck), Joshua, Nikala, Derek (Jackie), Kyle, Contessa, Alexis, Dottie (Eddy), Mackenzie, Adam, Richard, Kaitlan, Chad (Jennifer), Grant, Zackery and Mitch. He was predeceased by parents James Sr. and Semmone and brother Gregory. Visitation took place at the Anglican Church in New Ferrolle from where the funeral service took place on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay, funeral director.

LARKIN, ERASTUS JOHN
Wild Bight
May 23, 1922 - Dec. 19, 2005

Passed peacefully away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Erastus John Larkin, age 83 years. Leaving to mourn partner Eudora Young; daughters Elizabeth (William) and Levinia (Vincent); sons Stephen, Howard (Gladys), Jim (Gertie) and Maartin (Karen); four brothers; Ulet, Fred, Alf (Maude),Thomas (Myrtle); two sisters, Emily (Sam), Christina (Melvin); son-in-law Harrison Woodward; sister-in-law Annie; sister-in-law Joyce Johnson (Mark); sister-in-law Nina Woodward (Jim); 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Edith, daughter Winnie, parents Stephen and Jennetta Larkin, sisters Lillian and Jane, brothers Arch, Alexander and Angus. The family received friends at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Cook's Harbour from where the funeral service took place on Friday, Dec. 23, 2005. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay officiating.

March 1, 1925 - Dec. 19, 2005

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clarence Steward White announce his passing on Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony in the presence of his family at the age of 80 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving children Elizabeth (Charlie), Joyce (Graydon), Clara (Bob), Stanley Jr. (Mona) and Donald (Agnes); daughter-in-law Sue; grandchildren Julie (Wayne), Joan (Kirby), Junior (Tamara), Janet, Ricky (Collette), Joanne (Dan), Justin, Jamie, Renea and Jennifer; great-grandchildren Gabby, Willie, Lucas, Kaitlyn, Nicky and Rebekah; brother Stanley (Rosalind); sister-in-law Augustine; special family Dulcie, Jimmy (Belinda); in-laws Freeman (Laurie), Selina, Louise (John), Gladys (Maxwell) and Sarah, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by wife Maria Jane, son Clifford, parents Thomas and Annie, brother and sisters Howard, Edna, Millie and Mary Jane. Visitation took place at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Sandy Cove on Tuesday from where the funeral service was held on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Diane Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Church Cemetery in Savage Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix/ Bear Cove.

COLBOURNE, FLORENCE BURDETTE
Moundsville, WVA

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005 in Moundsville, WVA, United States, Florence Burdette Colbourne, age 83 years. Left with fond memories are her husband George Burdette; sons corky Burdette and Morgan (Linda) Colbourne; eight grandchildren ; sisters Irene (Bill) Cook of St. John's, Margorie (Everton) Strangemore and Beryl Simms of St. Anthony; brothers Willis (Rita) Colbourne, Bruce and Allan Colbourne of St. Anthony. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Jane, brother Edward and very special uncle John Colbourne.

GENGE, JACOB
Anchor Point

Passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, Jacob Genge of Anchor Point, age 50 years. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Gertie; daughter Lindsey; mother Agnes; brother Clyde (Myrtle); sister Olive (Wilfred); brothers-in-law Harv (Barb), Stan (Ethel), Steve (Blenda), Sam (Eileen) and Tim (Glenda); sister-in-law Julia (Norman); nieces and nephews Wilfred (Trista), Effie (Ernest), Connie (Shawn), Trudy (Michael), Kendell, Laci, Jelisa, Heather (Ryan), Randy (Lisa), Toby, Aaron, Amanda, Mark and Mitchell, as well as a large number of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Jacob. Visitation took place at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Anchor Point on Friday and Saturday from where the funeral service was held on Sunday, Dec. 25 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steven Maki officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay, officiating.

CARROLL, WILLIAM
St. Lunaire - Griquet

Passed away in the presence of his loving family on Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, William Carroll, age 80 years. Left with fond memories his wife Laura, daughters Ann Eastman (Dave), Mary Ellen Earle (Perry), Sadie Peyton (Hedley) and Marie Hedderson (Gordon); sons John (Wanda), Louis, Mike, Patrick (Regina) and Anthony (Karen); 22 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Anthony (Amelia); sisters Marie Hill, Mary Kearney (William), Rita Power, Theresa O'Neil and Nellie Byrne, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Neta Way for her kindness and caring for Dad when we were unable to be there. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary Ellen, parents John and Cecilia, brother Frank and sister Viladea Fitzpatrick. Visitation took place at the Roman Catholic Church in St. Lunaire - Griquet from where the funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28 with Fr. Umoren officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay, funeral director.

HANCOCK, GERALD
Forteau

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Hancock announce his passing at Labrador South Health Centre on Dec. 24, 2005 at the age of 92 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories children Balfour, Oswald (Bernette), Leah Ireland, Richard, Winston (Donna), Marjorie Hopkins (Richard) and Kevin; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Blanche Hancock (August 2000). Visitation took place at the Gospel Hall in English Point on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service was held on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. with Mr. Eric Fowler and Mr. Wallace Buckle officiating. Interment followed in the Gospel Hall Cemetery in Forteau. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup.

PILGRIM, MAISIE IRENE
Main Brook
Jan. 31, 1914 - Dec. 27, 2005

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maisie Irene Pilgrim announce her passing at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005 at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn her children Jessie (George) Penny of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Wes (Rose) and Arch (Pearl) of Deer Lake, Casper (Isabel) and Maud (Bob) Cornell of Milton, Ontario, Edith Vardy of Hickman's Harbour, Betty (Vern) Ellis of South River, Ontario, Wayne and Elsie (Herb) Russell of Fort McMurray, and Dennis (Alice) of Main Brook; daughter-in-law Donna; brother Alfred (Augustine) Ollerhead; 52 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Reuban, daughter Marie, sons Roland, Antone, Calvin, Robert and Lindsey, grandchildren Graham and Roddy, son-in-law James Vardy and daughter-in-law Diane. The family received friends at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Main Brook on Wednesday and Thursday afrom where the funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 30 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Grimes of Roddickton officiating. Interment followed in the Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Main Brook. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay officiating.

BILES, THOMAS DAVID
St. Anthony

Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, Thomas David Biles, age 81 years. Leaving to mourn wife Eliza; sons Dennis (June), Roger (Lee), Daniel (Sharla), Melvin (Sylvia); grandchildren Marshall Hillier, April, Robyn (Derrick), Paul, Samantha, Jarrett, Jeremy, Jackie, Vanessa (George), Millicent, Dawnie, Robert and Stephanie; great-grandchildren Keiara, Kailee, Savanna, Thomas, Dana, Maria, Tanner, Patrick, Brooke, Amber, Billie, Georgie, Taylor and Abby; daughters Betty, Leona (Gordon) and Linda (Robert). Visitation took place at the Pentecostal Church in St. Anthony from where the funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, 2005 with Pastor Combdon officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay, funeral director.

PERRY, ALONZO EDWARD
St. Anthony

Passed peacefully away at John M. Gray Centre on Dec. 30, 2005, Alonzo Edward Perry, age 75 years. He leaves to mourn his wife Eliza; brother Jim (Marion); sisters Daisy Dwyer, Evelyn Nuburry, Nellie (Ned) Green, Sophie (Harrison) Burrage and Thepi (Fred) Saunders; sisters-in- law Jessie Colbourne, Winnie Roberts, Marina (Ephriam) Sparkes, Melva (David) Whitten and Rita Chaytor; brothers-in-law Mount (Lydia) Roberts, Charles (Charlotta) Fennimore, Guy (Audrey) Roberts and Don Roberts, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Lucy and sister Edna King. Visitation took place at the funeral home on West Street in St. Anthony. The funeral service was held at the Salvation Army in St. Anthony at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2 with Capt. Mouland officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay, funeral director.
