It is with great sadness that the family of the late Loman
Noel announce his
passing on Monday, Dec. 1, 2003 at Rufus Guinchard Health
Centre in Port Saunders in his 56th year. Leaving to mourn his wife
Sadie; daughters Tara and Tracey Noel and Gwen House; son David House; grandchildren
Madison, Morgan and Joshua; mother Ella; brothers Maurice, (Laura), Brian (Charlie)
and Roderick Jr.; sisters Patricia (Gregory) O'Keefe, Helena (Iram) Moores
and Reba (David), as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his son Loman Robert Jr., father Roderick and brother
William. The family received friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home on Tuesday
and Wednesday. The funeral service was held at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic
Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4 with Capt. Jason Haggstrom and Rev. Roger
officiating. Interment followed at Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions
of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted or donations can be made to the
Canadian Diabetic Association. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's
Funeral Home, Port au Choix. The family guest book may be signed or memorial

Passed peacefully away on Dec. 2, 2003 at Curtis Memorial Hospital
in St. Anthony. He was in his 80th year. He leaves to mourn nephew
John (Wanda) and family - Jennifer, Kayla, Nikki and Jonathan Carroll, with whom
he resided; brothers William (Laura) and Anthony (Millie); sisters Rita Power,
Theresa O'Neill, Mary (Will Joe Kearney), Marie Hill and Nellie (Joe) Byrne,
as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased
by his father John, mother Cecilia and sister Viledo Fitzpatrick. Visitation
took place at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church in Griquet from where the funeral
mass was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, with Fr. Jim Robertson officiating.
Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted

Passed peacefully away in St. John's on Dec. 8, 2003.
He was in his 84th year. He leaves to mourn children: Calvin ( Pearl ), Susie
(Martin), Wilson (Bertha), Betty (Benson), Scott (Shirley), Joan (Rene), Kevin
(Dorothy) and Guy (Sadie); granddaughter Vivian (Lorne); 23 grandchildren; 31
great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, as well as a number of other
relatives and friends. Visitation took place at the Apostolic Faith Church in
Englee from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12 with

Passed peacefully away at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Dec.
10, 2003. He was in his 61st year. He leaves to mourn:

Karen Pilgrim (Dean); and son Dwayne (Georgie) (April); stepmother Lucy Byrne;
grandchildren Blaine, Kayla, Megan, Corey, Brittney, Cassandra, Brandon and
Marisa; special mother-in-law and card buddy, Kitty Murrin; three brothers,
Elias, Leonard and Johnny; and three sisters, Josephine, Alice and Nellie.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and John, and brother Bill. Visitation

a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Roman Catholic Immaculate Conception Church

The family of the late William Chambers announce his passing
on Dec.
14, 2003 at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony at the age of 82 years.
He leaves to mourn daughter Effie (Whyman) Parrill of Bear Cove; daughter Laverne
(Arthur) Genge of Anchor Point; grandchildren Holly (Jim), Chris (Della), Marjorie
(Peter), Jason (Tammy) and Ashley (Tracy); great-grandchildren Thomas, Carter,
Brady, Cloie and Emily, as well as a large circle of other family and friends.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie in 1959. The family received friends
from St. Boniface Church in Bear Cove from where the funeral service took place
at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17 with Rev. Ken Abbott and John Moores officiating.
Interment followed at Anchor Point Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted

Passed peacefully away at Curtis Memorial Hospital on Dec,
15, 2003. She
was in her 47th year. Leaving to mourn her husband Emmanuel; daughter
Gail (Bryant); son Dale; grandchildren Sarah and Sheldon; mother Julia; sisters
Susan (Harvey), Mary, Hannah (Edward) and Judy; brothers Gordon, Denley (Darlene),
William (Vivian) and Glenn (Leslie), as well as a number of other relatives
and friends. She was predeceased by her father and one sister. Her remains
went forward by motor hearse to the Pentecostal Church in Port Hope Simpson
from where the funeral service was held on Wednesday, Dec.17. Interment followed

2003. She was

grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other

and Marilyn (Steve) of St. John's; grandchildren Nelson (Tina), Unessa, Kenny,
Brianna, Wendy and Effie; great-grandchildren Alison and Corbin; brother Ben
(Marion); stepbrother Wallace Young (Elizabeth); sisters-in-law Joyce Coombs,
Carrie Rowsell, Goldie and Elenor Mitchelmore; nephew Howard (Joyce), as well
as a circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother
Matilda, father William, brother George, stepbrothers John, Absalom and Hubert,

Passed away after a short illness on Dec.
17, 2003 at Henderson Hospital in
Hamilton, Ontario, Kirby Decker, age 40 of Cook's Harbour, son of the late
Frederick and Ida Decker. Left to mourn his passing are: Angela, the mother
of his children Lori, Drew and Blair; brother Dennis (Patsy) and family, brother
Larry (Sharron), and a large circle of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his infant brother Bruce and infant sister Nellie. The
funeral service was held at St. Matthews Church in Cook's Harbour at 2 p.m.
on Monday, Dec. 22 with Rev. Ross Rumbolt officiating. Interment followed at

NOEL, ALLAN CHARLES
St. Anthony
Passed peacefully away at Curtis Memorial Hospital on Dec.
22, 2003 after
nearly a year of bad health. He was in his 79th year. Allan was
born in Goose Cove on Nov. 20, 1924 to William and Maud Noel. In 1948 he married
Phoebe Burt and they raised their family in St. Anthony. Allan was a hardworking
man who retired from Fishery Products International, never missing a day's
work for sickness in 36 years. He leaves to mourn his wife Phoebe; children
Helen (Ron), John (Hazel), Sybil (Calvin), Wavey, Jean (Stephen Marsh), Shawn
(Marion) and Kirk; grandchildren Trevor, Karen (Adam), Lynn (Scott), Joetta,
Jeffrey, Joshua, Tyler, Ryan and Heidi, great-grandchildren Cameron, Grace
and Kelsey; sisters Amelia Hancock (Joseph), Selma Hancock (Phillip) and Martha
Dawe; special friend Charlie Reardon (Susie), as well as a circle of other
relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed. Visitation took place at the
funeral home on West Street, St. Anthony. The funeral service was held at the
United Church in St. Anthony at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 with Rev. John
McGonigle officiating. Interment followed at the United Church cemetery in

daughters Sheila (Glen) Eveleigh of Stephenville, with whom he resided and
Naomi (Morley) Adey of Happy Valley-Goose Bay; brothers Jack (Elizabeth) of
Ontario and Donald (Minnie) of St. Anthony; sisters Dulcie Penney of St. Anthony
and Bertha (Rodsbury); grandchildren Sherry Dawe, Dwayne Diamond, Dallas Adey,
Natasha Eveleigh and Scosha Diamond; great-grandchildren Kelly and Kayla Dawe
and Alisha Brough, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Goldie Rita, mother and father Bertha and John,

Sam. Visitation took place at the Kingdom Hall in St. Anthony on Thursday and
Friday from where the memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec.
27 with Brian Cowx officiating. Interment followed at Kingdom Hall Cemetery
