It is with great sadness that the family
of the late Regina
Biggin announce
her passing on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001 at her home in Daniel's
Harbour at the age of 66 years. Regina was a loving and devoted wife, mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was known for her kindness
and her determination. Leaving to mourn husband Ronald; sons Lewis (Marie)
of Baie Verte, Michael (Jocelyn), Jonathan (Gloria) and Donovan (Jada), all
of Daniel's Harbour; daughters, Romaine (Earl) and Rhonda (Calvin) of Parsons
Pond, Sharon of Daniel's Harbour, Darciene (Barry) of Prince Edward Island
and Ronika (Ron) of Saudi Arabia; 19 grandchildren, Candice, Sheldon, Andrea,
Jeffrey, Ronika, Brittany, Jonathon, Monte, Cameron, Carmalice, Warren, Cheyanne,
Merika, Bobbi-Jean, Kaila, Angela, Andrew, Adrian and Tyler; great-grandchildren
Shelldon, R.J., Richard, Allissa and Jacob; three sisters; two brothers and
a large circle of relatives and friends, especially once in a lifetime friend,
Gertie. She was predeceased by her sister Rhoda and sister-in-law Eliza. Visitation
took place at the Gospel Hall in Daniel's Harbour from where the funeral service
took place on Sunday at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the family plot. By
request of the family in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Newfoundland
and Labrador Shriners, P.O. Box 2385, St. John's, NF. Funeral arrangements
were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake.

Samson announce
her passing on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001. She was in her 79th year.
She leaves to mourn daughters, Barbara (Wilson) Brown, Elsie (Grant) Cunard
and Marina, all of Brig Bay; sons, Thomas (Jessie), Hiram (Bernice) and Kevin,
all of Brig Bay, and Conrad (Effie) of Reef's Harbour; grandchildren Faye,
Lorne, Dean, Dianne and Connie; great-grandchildren Katelyn, Brittany, Nicole
and Autumn; sisters Emma Hounsell of Stephenville, Linda Flegel of Scarborough,
Ontario, Marie Maynard of Corner Brook and Henrietta Mancini of New York; brother
Seymour Hoddinott of Deer Lake. She was predeceased by her husband Peter and
sister Mazie Spence. The family received friends at Church of the Advent in
Plum Point from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at
2 p.m. with Rev. Rumbolt officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery

the funeral service took place on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Danny
Boyde officiating. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery in River of

his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Aug. 11, 2001 in

Holly, Johnny, Christina, Melissa, Alvina, Marion, Vanissa, Denise, Noreen,
John, Toby and Andrew; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, Christine, Robin-Lynn,
Halyen, Bjorn, Dustin and Jeffrey; brother Walter (Rebecca) Galliott of Corner
Brook; sister Marilla Parsons of Woody Point and a large circle of nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, John and
Isabella, sisters Elizabeth and Annie, brothers George, Alfred and Henry. The

Logan Lake, BC, Alex (Diane) of Grande Prairie, AB, Wade (Sheila) of St. Anthony
and Nelson (friend Joyce) of Spruce Grove, AB; daughters Beryl (Lomond) Keefe
of St. Anthony, Gladys (Howard) Larkin of Deer Lake, Judy Hillier of Fort McMurray,
AB, Cavell (Roy) King, Belinda (fiancé Tony Best), Gail (Edward) King,
all of Grande Prairie, AB, and Brenda (Aubrey) Wells of Tumbler Ridge, BC;
brothers Ralph and Alex of Griquet and Hedley of Goose Bay; sister Eva Pilgrim
of Griquet; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a wide circle
of family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Jessie Hillier, parents
Archibald and Elizabeth Hillier, brothers Ernest and Harvey. The funeral service
took place at 2 p.m. on Aug. 18 from Bethel Pentecostal Church in St. Anthony
with interment in the church cemetery. His remains rested at the church. As

to the Chemotherapy Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook.

It is with great sadness that the family of Anthony
Bromley announce his peaceful
passing at his residence on Aug. 23, 2001, following a courageous
battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Left to mourn are his
three brothers, Con, Patrick (Susan) and John (Susan), all of Conche; sister
Josephine Bagley of Levittown, PA, USA; seven nieces, six nephews and their
families as well as a large circle of friends. Anthony was predeceased by his
mother, Frances (Murphy), father, Patrick, sisters Bridget (Byrne) and Kathleen
(Symmonds). Visitation took place at Sacred Heart Church in Conche from where
the funeral mass was celebrated on Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. followed by interment

Anthony fought

Anchor Point Passed peacefully away at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Tuesday,
Aug. 28, 2001 at 2:15 a.m. in the presence of her children, Dora Genge
in her 86th year. Leaving to mourn sons, Ross, Baxter (Eliza), Noah (Laura),
Selwyn (Brenda), Dean (Palma) residing at Anchor Point and Hubert (Miriam)
of Fort McMurray, Alberta; daughters Elva (Angus) Genge of Flowers Cove, Virginia
(George) Coombs of Plum Point, Marie (Ches) Gilliam and Cindy (Larry) Fortune
of Corner Brook, and Winnie (Arch) Peyton of Kippens; 25 grandchildren; 36
great-granchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters Hannah and Gladys Genge
of Anchor Point; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, granddaughters Brada, Alicia, Francine
and Baby Genge, sister Virginia, brothers Isaac and Algernon. The family received

He was predeceased by sister Florence Cull (Shem). Visitation was held at the

Sept. 2 from the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony with interment in the

Olive Normore announce her passing at the GRHS Health Centre at Forteau,
on Friday,
Aug. 31, 2001 in the presence of most of her children. Leaving to mourn,
sons Levi (Tamsie), Herbert, Eldred (Tena), Llewellyn (Stella), Lawrence (Emily),
Michael (Shirley), and Dorman (Nina); daughters, Sophie (William), Lucy Ann (Jerome),
Sylvia (Edward), Eileen (Eben), and Alice (Lloyd); sister, Mary Jane; 29 grandchildren,
and 28 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, granddaughter,
Sharon and sister, Alice Ann (Linstead). Visitation took place at St. Paul
's Anglican Church in L'Anse au Loup. The funeral service took place on Sunday,
Sept. 2 with the Rev. James Eveleigh officiating followed by internment at the
Anglican Cemetery in L'Anse au Loup.
