2012, Mrs. Emily Applin of Savage Cove, NL, in her 72nd year.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Patsy (Dean)
Coles; sons Sam (Donna) Applin, and Mervin (Lois) Applin; grandchildren
Samantha (Gorvin) Williams, Dwayne (Salome) Coles, Billi and Rorey Applin,
Zack, Nick and Jeff Applin; great-grandchildren Leanne and Trav Williams,
Brooke and Madison Coles; brother Stedman (Vivian) Coombs; sisters Dorcas
Baines, Effie Coombs, and Dulcie (Paul) Duggan; in-laws Harrison White,
Naomi Coombs, Hazel Way, Kitty Applin, Harvey and Lorraine Applin, Philip
and Rosie Applin, Kirby and Pat Applin and many other relatives and a large
circle of friends. She was predeceased by husband Eric Applin, mother Leah
(White) Coombs, father John Coombs, sister Bernadette White, brothers Gerald
Coombs, Leander Coombs, and Steward Coombs. Visitation was held at St.
Mark's Anglican Church in Savage Cove from where the funeral service took
place at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 30 with Rev. B. Rowlands officiating.
Burial followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Savage Cove. Funeral arrangements
were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton,
Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
BUCKLE, Wilhelmina
Forteau
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mina
Buckle announce
her passing at the Labrador South Health Centre Long Term Care Unit in
Forteau on April 8, 2012 at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with
loving memories daughter Beatrice Cooney (Brian); grandchildren Wayne Buckle,
Rosalie Belben, Kayla Lethbridge (Perry), and Wendy Belben; son-in-law
Nelson Belben; special friends Pearl Buckle, Victor and Ethel Stone, as
well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased
by her husband George and daughter Hilda. Visitation took place at the
Anglican Church in Forteau on Sunday and Monday from where the funeral
service took place Tuesday, April 10, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Norman Cutler
officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Forteau. As expressions
of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were
entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home in L'Anse au Loup.

Passed peacefully away at the White Bay Central Health Centre on April
26, 2012, Mrs. Effie Julia Bushey of Roddickton, NL, in her 84th year.
She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memories her daughters
Marie (Oliver) Reid, Roddickton, Dorothy (David) Cassell, Roddickton,
Wanetta (Eddie) Reid, Roddickton, and Sheila (Graham) Adams, Roddickton;
son Wilson (Audrey) Bushey, Roddickton; sisters Beatrice Wilcox, Roddickton,
Marie Hancock, Roddickton, and Isabella Hancock, Roddickton; 16 grandchildren;
19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many other
relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jesse, sisters
Elsie, Pearl, and Gertrude, brothers Gilbert and Gordon. Visitation took
place at the Apostolic Faith Church in Englee from where the funeral
service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 29 with Rev. Rene S. Cassell

Chubbs of L'Anse
au Clair, NL, announce his passing on April 19, 2012 at the Palliative
Care Unit in Forteau at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with loving
memories wife Muriel; children Dulcie Carpenter (Lanny), Sheila, Barry
(Claudette), Rodney (Mary), Kevin (Yvonne) and Everett (Mary); 17 grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren; sisters Mabel, and Rita; brothers Russell and
Clifford, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was
predeceased by parents Alpheaus and Mary Chubbs, son Leslie Jr. (Rowena),
brothers Amos, Cecil, Bill and Dave. Visitation took place at the Anglican
Church in L'Anse au Clair on Thursday and Friday from where the funeral
service took place Saturday, April 21, at 4 p.m. with Rev. Norman Cutler
officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in L'Anse au Clair.

Passed away peacefully at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on April
23, 2012, Mr. Gordon Colbourne of St. Anthony, NL, in his 84th year.

and Pleman, sisters Clara and Effie, granddaughter Kimberely. Leaving
to mourn her children Doris Penney (Ray), Daphne Bursey (David), Guy
Pollard (Reta), Alonzo Pollard (Nancy), Maxine Parsons (Graham), David
Pollard (Cathy) and Mona Gillard; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren;
brother and sisters Maisie Patey (Arch), Edna Randell (Andrew), Ivy Cassell
(Les), Frank Randell (Patsy) and Shirley Noseworthy (Art); as well as
a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at
the United Church, Englee, on Wednesday after 10 a.m. The funeral service
took place at the United Church, Englee on Thursday, April 12, at 2 p.m.

The funeral service was held on Saturday, April 21 at 2 p.m. from Emmanuel
Pentecostal Church in Deer Lake. Interment followed at the Interdenominational
