CAINES, Mary Alice
Bird Cove

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Alice Caines announce her passing on Friday, April 3, 2009 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders in her 93rd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Josephine (Aloysius) Caines, Theresa (Raphael) Mahar, Geraldine (Eli) Rogers, Maggie (Jim) Doyle, Floria (Jerry) Murphy, Moses (Iona) Caines, James Emmanuel (Clarice) Caines, Prim (Augustine) Caines, Cliff (Sybil) Caines, Victor (Marina) Caines, and Joe (Alice) Caines; 39 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; sister and brothers and a large circle of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Moses, son Baby Michael, daughters Baby Mary and Eudora, and husband Raphael Caines, grandson Jeremy Caines, son-in-law Simon Gould, parents Theresa and James Pittman, sisters Catherine Kennedy, Nellie Pittman and Florence Gould, brothers Michael John Pittman, Ambrose Rumbolt and John Pittman. The family received friends at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Bird Cove on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from where the funeral took place on Tuesday April 7 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Roger officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca

PYNN, Amelia (Reid)
Raleigh

Passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Amelia Pynn of Raleigh, age 91 years. Leaving to mourn son Ian; daughter-in-law Christina and grandchildren Sally, Jesse, Amelia Holly and Maria; step-son John Pynn (Audrey), and children Paula (Rob) and family; niece Susan Penney (Bill) and children Jenna and Jacob; goddaughters Ruby Johnson and Amelia Elliott. Amelia is predeceased by her husband Abil, parents Aaron and Bertha Reid, uncles Eli and Levi Reid, sister-in-law Lavinia Pynn and brother-in-law Theophilus Pynn. Visitation was held at the Anglican Church in Raleigh from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, with Rev. Bruce Graham officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

CASEY, James
Conche

Passed peacefully away at Shirley's Haven, St. Anthony on Monday, April 13, 2009, James Casey, age 71 years. He leaves to mourn children David (Anne Marie), Norman (Debbie) and Stephen (Jacinta); grandchildren John, Rebecca and Luke; brother Steve; sisters Ann and Mary, and a large circle of family and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Evangeline, grandson Stephen, brother Tom and parents Peter and Adell Casey. Funeral services were conducted by Fr. Roger Poblete at Sacred Heart Church in Conche on Friday, April 17, 2009. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

BARNEY, RICHARD
L'Anse au Loup

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Richard Barney announces his passing at Labrador South Health Centre in Forteau on April 18, 2009 at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Laura; children Phyllis Thomas (Dennis), Algernon (Elizabeth), Edward (Thelma), Francis (Priscilla), Rhoda Linstead (Elvis), Camielle (Shirley), Antionette (the late Bert Cabot); 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters Patricia Normore and Beulah Fowler and brother Edward Barney, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Mary Barney, brother William and sisters Isabella Flynn, Dorothy Roberts and son-in-law Bert Cabot. Visitation took place at the Gospel Hall in L'Anse au Loup on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service was held on Monday, April 20 at 2 p.m. with Mr. Francis Barney and son Edward Barney officiating. Interment followed at the Gospel Hall Cemetery in L'Anse au Loup. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup.

OSBORNE, Clara Ahonoura
Brig Bay

Passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders, Clara Osborne (nee Tatchell) at the age of 42 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Warren; daughter Carla (Scott) Thompson, Fort McMurray, Alberta; son Matthias (Wendy), Labrador City; parents Isaac and Ahonoura Tatchell; sisters Sheila, Audrey (Ben) Lavers, Maxine (Brian) O'Keefe, Christine (Primus) Pittman, Lucy (Lewis) Rumbolt, and Rowena (Craig) Rumbolt; brothers Aloysius (Selma) and Sheldon (Candace); parents-in-law Matthias and Marjorie Osborne; sister-in-law Darlene (Rene) Genneaux; brothers-in-law Randy Allingham, Rudy (Yvette) Allingham, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends visited The Anglican Church of the Advent, Plum Point Sunday from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 21 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. McGRATH, Anthony
Conche

We, the family of Anthony McGrath, announces his sudden passing on April 26, 2009 at his home in Conche. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 42 years, Patsy; children Robert (Barb), Daphne (Andy) and Charlene (Chris) eight grandchildren Nathan, Matthew, Alex, Meghan, Melyssa, Marcus, Payton, Toni and Gregory. He is survived by three sisters Eva, Mary Theresa and Angela; three brothers, Ronald, Edmund and Patrick. He is predeceased by his parents Jack and Amelia McGrath, brothers John Edward, Wilbert and Ted and a sister Angela. He will be fondly remembered by a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Fr. Roger Poblete at Sacred Heart Church in Conche on Friday, May 1, 2009. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony, Danielle Galgay, funeral director.

Passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders, Walter Rumbolt at the age of 71 years. Leaving to mourn siblings John (Eudorah), Castor River North, Loretta Piercey, Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, Madeline Gaulton, Castor River South, Ellen Scanlon, Castor River North, Imelda (Wallace) Coles, Uriah (Mary), Castor River South, Rose Tatchell, Castor River North, Augustus, Fort McMurray, Alberta, Agatha Tatchell, Elizabeth Tatchell, Joseph (Rowena), Castor River South, Lucy (Alonzo) Tatchell, Mary (Lorne) Tatchell, Castor River North, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Mary Ann Rumbolt, sisters-in-law Jeanette and Dorothy, brothers-in-law Eric, Reuben, Eymard, Thomas, Kevin, Jerome and Henry. The family received friends at Queen of the Angels Roman Catholic Church in Castor River South on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral service took place on Thursday, April 30 at 2 p.m., with Fr. Roger officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
