It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lisa
Hancock announce
her passing at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Monday,
April 7, 2003. She was in her 32nd year. Leaving to mourn
with fond and loving memories her mom and dad, Leonard and Marie Hancock; brother
Leon (Coretta); sister Lynette (Bruce); niece Kristen; grandmother Mrs. Melsie
Roberts and a large circle of aunts, uncles, other family members and friends.
The family received friends at the United Church in Forteau from where the
funeral service took place on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Karl Arnold officiating.
Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery in Forteau. Funeral arrangements
were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup. As expressions of

Kenneth Pollard announce his passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital
in Stephenville on April
11, 2003 at the age of 67 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving
wife Audrey; sons Melvin (Triffey) and Sterling (Wanda) of Stephenville and
Kevin (Linda) and Bruce of Springdale; daughters Judy (Chris) Haynes of Ottawa,
Ontario, Kathy (Henry) Chubbs of Bide Arm and Debbie (Patrick) Woodfine of
Stephenville; six brothers Francis (Melina) and Reuben (Linda), both of Stephenville,
Harold (Josie) of Deer Lake, Garfield (Alice) of Glovertown, Clarence (Sadie)
of Marathon, Ontario, and Eugene of Scarborough, Ontario; sisters Winnie Cassell
of Stephenville, Prudence Thorne of Grand Falls-Windsor, Mildred Fudge of Hampton
and Melina (Gerard) Foote of Ontario; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren,
as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He is predeceased
by his parents Josiah and Patience Pollard. The funeral service took place
at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday April 13 with Pastor Shawn Bowers officiating. Interment
followed at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery , Hansen Highway, Stephenville. Funeral
arrangements were entrusted to Russell's Funeral Home, Stephenville.
NORMAN, JENNY (GENEVIEVE) JANETTE
Roddickton
Passed peacefully away on April 12, 2003 in Dryden, Ontario.
She was in her 81st year. She leaves to mourn daughters Daphne (Douglas),
Marg (Bill), Avelina (Peter), Betty (Calvin) and Wanda (Jim); sons James, Ernest
(Maureen), George (Louise) and Perry (Gilda); brother Morey Gill; 36 grandchildren;
28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large number
of relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond (1996).
Visitation took place at the Calvary Pentecostal Temple in Roddickton from
where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 18 with Pastor
Keith Simms officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements

Health Centre in Port Saunders. He was in his 70th year. He leaves

in Green Island Cove. She was in her 60th year. Leaving to mourn sisters Rhoda
Susan (Graydon) Mitchelmore, Maisie McLean and Mamie Ellen (Lambert) Mitchelmore

Anglican Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral service took place at

Passed peacefully away at John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on April
14, 2003. He was in his 96th year. He leaves to mourn his daughters
Fannie (Hubert) of Conche and Ann-Marie (Ike); grandchildren Keith, Roderick,
Philip, Sandra (Lorne), Wade (Pam) and Terry (Tanya); great-grandchildren Nathan,
Hogan, Stephen, Nicholas, Hayley and Marissa, as well as a large circle of relatives
and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Ellen (1995). Visitation was held
place at Sacred Heart Parish in Conche from where the funeral mass took place
at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16 with Fr. Jim Robertson officiating. Interment

Joseph White announce
his passing at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on Wednesday,
April 16, 2003 in his 36th year. He will be sadly missed
by his loving wife Catherine (Kate) nee Critchley; his darling little boy Kenny;
his loving mother Frances White; brothers John (Karen) of Port au Choix, Hollis
of Port Saunders and George (Valda) of Torbay; sisters Lana White (Art Pearce)
of St. John's and Carol Ann (Pierre) Mochon of Port Saunders; nieces Jolynn
and Lauren; nephews Joshua, Marc and Stephane; mother-in-law Selina (Lean)
Critchley of Port Saunders; the Critchley family members who were so close
to Dion, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Dion was
predeceased by his father Leo and his father-in-law John Critchley. The family
received friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Saunders from where
the funeral service of Christian burial took place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April
20 with Fr. Terry officiating. Interment followed at the family plot at Sandy
Point Interdenominational Cemetery . Funeral arrangements were entrusted to

Passed peacefully away at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on April
24, 2003 in his 77th year. Mr. Patey was a long-time member
of the St. Anthony Fire Department and a member of the Loyal Orange Lodge and
St. Anthony Lions Club. He leaves to mourn wife Viola; daughters Phyllis Peddle
(Edward), Madonna Ireland (Francis) and Lana (Garrett Clarke); son Rodger Patey
(Sandra); grandchildren Michelle Henry (Keith), Craig Ireland (Lea Peters),
Sheldon Peddle (Terrilynn Newman), Chad Ireland (Krista), Melanie Patey (Brad
Powell), Justin Patey and Jonathan Patey; great-grandchild Jenna Ireland; sisters-in-law
Margaret and Charlotte Patey, as well as a number of other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by parents Hezekiah and Ida and brothers Gasper, James, Ezra
and Herbert. Visitation took place at the funeral home on West Street . The
funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 27 at St. Mary's Anglican
Church in St. Anthony with Rev. Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating. Interment
