was a day of joyous celebration as Nadine Joy, daughter of Felix and Salome Simmonds, and Christopher Eugene, son of Wilson and Phyllis Wells, professed their love and devotion to each other in front of a host of family and friends at the St. Anthony United Church. A beautiful ceremony was performed by Rev. John Maich with organ music by Kim Patey. Bridal party included: Maid of honour Carole Ann Patey, friend of the bride and groom; bridesmaids Krista Simmonds, cousin of the bride, Lorna Bessey, friend of the bride and groom and Angela Wells, niece of the groom; best man Greg Ivany, friend of the bride and groom; groomsmen Dion Caines, cousin of the bride, Jim Wells, brother of the groom and Neil Simmonds, brother of the bride; flower girl Kaitlyn Etchegary, cousin of the bride and ring bearer Adam Bursey, cousin of the bride. A beautiful wedding took place on Saturday, May 26, 2001 at the International Gospel Centre in Kitchener, Ontario, when Charlene, daughter of George and Pearl Hillier, was united in marriage to Jamie, son of Graham and Ruby Reid. The bridal party included: Maid of honour Gillian Brenton; bridesmaids Paula Hillier, Amanda Regular, Sharlene Swant, Jacqueline Hillier, Maria Hillier and Abby Durnford; flowergirls Chelsea Gay and Natasha and Nicole Regular; best man Brandon Reid; groomsmen Francis Reid, Jason Regular, Chad Hancock, Roger Weir, Jason Rioux and Chris Hillier; ringbearer Caleb Regular; ushers Scott Smith and David Reid. Pastor Winston Morgan was the officiating minister who had also dedicated the bride as a baby; Jason Regular was the soloist. The reception was held at Country Hills Community Centre with 300 guests in attendance. Jamie is currently employed at Budd Canada and Charlene at Manulife Financial. JOHNSON - BROMLEY
On Aug. 25, 2001, Trina Johnson and Desmond Bromley were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony held in Richmond, Ontario. The bride was given away by parents, Jean and Bern Johnson. The bridal party consisted of: Maid of honour Stacey Johnson, cousin of the bride; bridesmaids Gina Johnson, sister of the bride, Daisy and Dreena Bromley, sisters of the groom; flower girl Michelle Heath, niece of the bride; best man Keith Woodford, friend of the groom; groomsmen Robert Ruberry, friend of the groom, Bern Johnson, brother of the bride and Justin Kean, nephew of the bride, and ring bearer Bernie Johnson, nephew of the bride. A reception was held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Stittsville, where the couple reside. Guests came from Newfoundland, Alberta and other parts of Ontario. A great Newfie time was had by all. JAMES - RYAN
Congratulations are extended to Rakila James, daughter of Norman and Mabel James of Forteau, Labrador, and Kirby Ryan, son of Harold and Goldie Ryan of Red Bay, Labrador, who were joined in marriage at the United Church in Red Bay on Aug. 25, 2001 with Rev. The reception was held at Basque Memorial in Red Bay, with Stan Pike, Jr., cousin of the groom, as master of ceremonies. The couple resides in St. John's.

KEATS - RUMBOLT
St. Mary the Virgin Church in Mary's Harbour, Labrador on Sept. 15, 2001 was the setting of a beautiful wedding ceremony between Fred, son of Susie Rumbolt and the late Thomas Rumbolt, and Deanne, daughter of Bonnie Keats of St. Anthony. The wedding was officiated by Rev. Charlene Taylor. The bridal party included: Maid of honour Christine Curtis, sister of the bride; bridesmaids Tina Rumbolt, sister of the groom and Denise Reardon, friend of the bride and groom; flower girl Cassandra Curtis, niece of the bride; best man Alton Rumbolt, brother of the groom; groomsmen Justin and Tyler Rumbolt, nephews of the groom; and ring bearer Rexy Butt, son of the groom. The happy couple now reside in Mary's Harbour. They are wished all the happiness and love by their family and friends.

TAYLOR - PEYTON

A lovely reception followed at Strawberry Hill Resort, Little Rapids, with Stan Pike as master of ceremonies. The happy couple is now residing in Corner Brook . Kelly and Nelson make their home in St. John's.
