Payne-Brown
The marriage of Pamela, daughter of Pauline and the late Alexander Payne, to Keith, son of Cornelius and Hughena Brown, all of Cow Head, took place on July 8, 2000 at St. Mary's Church in Cow Head with Rev. John Mead officiating. Beverlee, sister of the bride was maid of honour and the bridesmaids were Shannon Middle miss, Raelene Payne and Erica Alcock. Kerry, brother of the groom, was best man and the groomsmen were Paul Kassis, Conrad Brown and Adam Payne. Music was by Dave McHugh. The couple currently resides in Calgary, Alberta. Best wishes from family and friends.

Freypons-Humby
A beautiful wedding ceremony took place on July 14, 2000 in Brampton, Ontario. Byron, son of Cyril and Sybil Humby of St. Lunaire, and Robin, daughter of Gui and Linda Freypons of Kitchener, Waterloo, exchanged wedding vows in Brampton and then again in Bermuda while on their honeymoon. Best man was Bradley Humby, brother of the groom and maid of honour was Tammy-Lee Randell, friend of the bride and groom. The couple now resides in Kitchener, Ontario. Congratulations are extended to Byron and Robin from their families.

Randell-Hopkins
A beautiful wedding took place at the Salvation Army, St. John's West Corps, on July 15, 2000. Violet, daughter of Hedley and Shirley Randell of Englee, and Keith, son of Wilfred and Regina Hopkins of Englee, were united in marriage by Lieutenants Guy and Donna Simms. The bridal party included: Maid of honour Tara Roberts, friend of the bride and groom; bridesmaids Angie Randell, friend of the bride and groom, Krista Cullen, friend of the bride and groom; junior bridesmaid Lee-Anna Boutcher, foster child of the bride and groom; flower girl Claire Chubbs, friend of the bride and groom; best man Douglas Marks, friend of the bride and groom; groomsmen John Pilgrim, friend of the bride and groom and David Randell, uncle of the groom; junior groomsman Justin Pippy, friend of the bride and groom; ring bearer Colton Randell, cousin of the bride. The happy couple resides in Goulds. Congratulations are extended to Keith and Violet by their family and friends.

Tucker-Gallant
Congratulations to Tara Tucker, daughter of Les and Millicent Tucker of Straitsview, and Greg Gallant, son of Alban Gallant of Benoit's Cove and Gladys Miles of Louisbourg, Nova Scotia on their marriage that took place Oct. 7, 2000. Bridal party included maid of honour Marlene Tucker, sister of the bride; bridesmaid Wanda-Lee Gallant, sister of the groom; best man John Dollimont, cousin of the groom and groomsman Adian Tucker, cousin of the bride. The marriage took place at Central United Church at Straitsview. A reception was held at the Vinland Motel, St. Anthony. Tara and Greg now live in Halifax, Nova Scotia and both are employed with Air Nova. Best wishes to Tara and Greg from family and friends. Tara and Greg wish to thank all who helped make their day special.

Normore-James
Congratulations to Vanessa, daughter of Malachi and Grace Normore of L'Anse au Loup and Trevor, son of Wallace and Lorraine James of Burnt Islands who were united in marriage on Oct. 7, 2000 at St. Paul's Anglican Church in L'Anse au Loup. The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. Piercy. A reception and dance followed at the Northern Light Inn in L'Anse au Clair. The bridal party included: Maid of honour Angela Normore, friend of the bride; bridesmaids Gertie Fowler, aunt of the bride, Bernadette Taylor, sister of the groom, Zina Labadie, cousin of the bride, Nicole James, niece of the groom; junior bridesmaid Stephanie Taylor, niece of the groom; flower girl Shawna Normore, niece of the bride; best man Adrian Keeping, friend of the groom; groomsmen Everett James and Wallace James, brothers of the groom, Clifton Normore brother of the bride, Darrell O'Brien, cousin of the bride; junior groomsman Aaron O'Brien, cousin of the bride and ring bearer Terrell James, son of the bride and groom. The givers of the bride were Malachi Normore, father of the bride and Darnell Normore, son of the bride. The ushers were Terrilynn Normore and Gavin Ryland, cousins of the bride and the readers were Leanne Fowler, cousin of the bride and Samantha Wissler, friend of the bride and groom. Congratulations come from the Normore and James families and a special wish for a long and happy life together comes from their two sons Darnell and Terrell. Vanessa and Trevor would like to thank everyone who helped in any way to make their day so special.

Dunphy-Pilgrim
A beautiful wedding took place at Central United Church on Oct. 14, 2000, when Lisa, daughter of Paul and Donna Dunphy of St. Anthony, and Mark, son of Dorothy Blake of Straitsview, were united in marriage by Rev. John Davis. The bridal party included: Maid of honour Carla Dunphy, sister of the bride; bridesmaids Jennifer Rose, cousin of the bride; Bonnie Hynes, sister of the groom; Angela Dunphy, cousin of the bride; junior bridesmaid Sarah Blake, niece of the groom; best man Trevor Hedderson, cousin of the groom; junior groomsmen Michael Dunphy, cousin of the bride; groomsmen Todd Blake, brother of the groom; Brian McLean, cousin of the bride; Jonathan Dunphy, brother of the bride; ring bearer Iain Pilgrim, son of the bride and groom. Lisa and Mark would like to thank everyone who made their day so great and to family and friends who traveled from away to share in their special day. Congratulations and best wishes are extended to Lisa and Mark from their son Iain, family and friends.

Spence-Genge
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Spence and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Genge Sr. are pleased to announce the marriage of their children Sonya Nicole and Wilfred Jr. on Nov. 18, 2000. They were married at the Church of the Advent, Plum Point with the Very Reverend Dr. Arthur Churchill officiating. The bride was preceded down the aisle by her bridesmaids: Kim Genge, friend of the bride and groom, Trudy Genge, sister of the groom, Connie Dempster, sister of the groom, Shelly Rowe, cousin of the bride and Effie Genge, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaid duties were performed by Jelisa Genge, niece of the groom and Stacey Dempster, friend of the bride and groom. Kendall Dempster was the very pretty flower girl. Jean Spence, sister of the bride, was the stunning maid of honour. Supporting the groom were Bradley Genge, friend of the bride and groom, Damian Etheridge, want- to- be brother of the bride, Rodney Genge, friend of the groom, Corey Pearce, cousin of the bride, Jacob Genge, uncle of the groom. Junior groomsmen duties were performed by Garland Dempster, friend of the bride and groom, Brady Genge was the ring carrier and Sean Dempster performed the duties of best man. The bride was carried to church by Clyde and Myrtle Genge where she was given away by her father, Calvin. The bride and groom were chauffeured to the reception at the Anchor Point Lions Club by Clyde and Myrtle Genge. The guests were entertained by Doug Rowe, MC for the evening and music was provided by Jeremy White. The happy couple is residing in their new home in Anchor Point.

LINSTEAD - NORMORE
Congratulations are extended to Corie Lee, daughter of Melvin and Sheila Linstead, and Kerry, son of Gordon and Sarah Normore. Corie Lee and Kerry were united in marriage on November 25, 2000. The wedding party included: Matron of honour Tanya Butt, friend of the bride; bridesmaids Crissy Linstead, sister of the bride and Cindy Earle, friend of the bride; best man Sheldon Normore, brother of the groom; groomsmen Damien Normore, nephew of the groom and Bradley Barney, cousin of the bride; ring bearer Colten Layden, friend of the bride and groom. Ushers were Stephen Pike and Morley Normore. All family and friends wish them both a long and happy life together. The couple now resides in their new home in L'Anse au Loup, Labrador.

HILL - MULLIN
Congratulations to Mary Hill and Paul Mullin of Brampton, Ontario, who were united in marriage on Dec. 11, 2000 at Sandals Dunn's River, Jamaica. Love and best wishes from family and friends in Newfoundland.

Richards-Cull
Donald and Neta Richards would like to announce the marriage of their daughter, Deanne, to Randy, son of Eric and Leona Cull. The wedding ceremony took place on Dec. 21, 2000 in Kitchener, Ontario. The maid of honour was Jennifer Mugford, cousin of the bride and the best man was Philip Letto, brother-in-law of the groom. The honeymoon took place in Cuba following the ceremony. Randy and Deanne would like to thank everyone who helped make their wedding a very special day. The couple now resides in Kitchener. Best of luck from Mom and Dad Richards, Mom and Dad Cull, family and friends.
