COOMBS - Jenna Chelsea has earned a place in history as the first baby born at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony for 2005. Jenna, weighing 7 lb., 7 oz., arrived on Jan. 2. Her proud parents, Tina and Lorne Coombs, were joined by pediatrician Dr. Padma Guntamukkala, who presented the couple with an infant car seat on behalf of the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association. The seat is one of 12 given to hospitals in the province which perform deliveries. Dr. Sarada and midwife Gillian Sexton performed the delivery.

ELLIOTT - Sugar and spice and everything nice. That’s what little girls are made of. Delaura and Larry Elliott are delighted to announce the birth of their precious little girl, Mackenzie Morgane, on Jan. 2, 2005, weighing 7 lb., 15 oz.
