Passed away at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte on September 9th, 2009, Mr. Garland Ball of Lewisporte, aged 83 years. The funeral service took place on Sunday, September 13th at 2:00 p.m. from the Pentecostal Church, Lewisporte. In his memory, donations to the Village of Hope, Lewisporte House in Malawi will be gratefully accepted. Garland Ball was born to David & Eliza Ball in Stanhope on March 30, 1926. His mother died when he was only 6 years old, and was subsequently raised by his sister Myrtle. On May 6,1953 he married his wife Muriel and they had two sons, Robert & Owen. Garland was converted to the Lord in 1977 and served him faithfully until he was called home to his heavenly rest on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Garland was predeceased by his parents David & Eliza, brothers Albert & Fred; sisters Elsie, Winnie & Myrtle. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Muriel, son Robert (Shirley), son Owen (Jackie), grandchildren (the joy of his life), Jeff (Melissa), Jillian, Jonathan & Stephanie, two great grandchildren Raychel & Chloe. Also, a large number of relatives and friends.
