BAKER, Watson Roy
(April 24, 1918 - October 13, 2007)
Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on October 13th, Mr. Watson Baker of Brown's Arm, aged 89 years. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 16th at 2:00 pm from the Pentecostal Church, Brown's Arm. As expression of sympathy, donations to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre, Gander will be gratefully accepted. Watson Roy Baker was born at Laurenceton, on April 24, 1918 to Jabez and Ellen Baker. The youngest of 6 children, he married his beloved wife, Daisy, on July 12, 1940. They raised five children and were married sixty-six years. Daisy predeceased him on February 21, 2007. In October 1977, Watson accepted Jesus as his personal Saviour. Watson leaves to mourn Two Sons: Harvey (Eileen), Hardy (Irene); Three Daughters: Maisie (Roger), Linda (Junior), Lorie (Brad); eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.
