BLAKE, Edward
(September 27, 1930 - March 16, 2013)

Passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Central NL Regional Health Care Center in Grand Falls-Windsor, Mr. Edward Blake, age 82 years, formerly of Change Islands. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Margaret (Somerton) Blake; brother, Leo; sister, Mae. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Irene; daughters, Bonnie (Jerome), Sharon (Darren), Allison (Rod); son, Wayne (Tracy); grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Jason and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Reverend Raymond Clouter conducted Funeral Service from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Interment will take place from the United Church Cemetery, Change Islands. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully accepted.

HENNIGAR, Chester
Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor on Friday, March 1st, 2013 Chester Hennigar, age 69 years. Predeceased by parents Harry and Genevia Hennigar, brother Lorne Hennigar. Left to mourn with loving memories are his wife Ella Hennigar (Nee Newman), daughters Heather Russell (Howard) of Mirachami, NB, Cindy Milton (David) of Edmonton, AB, Tammy Perrin of Moncton NB, Charlene Drover (Craig) of Badger, NL, Christine Elliott (Christopher) of Gander, NL, brothers Tom (Carol) of Kenacook, NS, Warren (Shirley) of Lethbridge, AB, sisters Barbara Hudson (Tom) of Trenton, ON, Sharron Touchie (David) of Truro, NS, grandchildren Chelsea, Cameron, Andrew, Sean, Carley, Bradley, Breanna, Cameron, mother-in- law Gertie Drover, brother-in-law William Drover, sisters-in-law Gertie Sullivan, Rebecca Lush (Dean), Agnes Way (Roy), Amelia Gardner (Steven), Bernadette Drover (Ed), Maxine Drover (Tony), Helen Drover (Harve), Yvonne Drover, Rose Drover (Junior), a large circle of other relatives and friends and a special thanks to Phyllis Luff in this time of need with her comfort and love. LUCAS, Martin
Born: December 31st, 1993
Passed on: March 4th, 2013
Lucas James Martin
, 19-years-old died tragically and suddenly on Monday, March 4, 2013 at his home in Embree. Lucas was born on December 31, 1993. He graduated in 2012 from Lewisporte Colligate and was continuing his education by attending the Millwright program at Dietrac College. Left to mourn his passing with many fond and loving memories are his Dad and Stepmom, Jason and Kim Canning, brother Lincoln; Mom and stepdad, Karen Martin and Kevin Lambert, brother Aaron; grandparents Harvey and Gertie Canning, Bill and Joy Sceviour, Dan and Shirley Martin and a large circle of family and friends. Lieutenants Larry and Rose Campbell conducted funeral service from the Salvation Army Church, Bayview on Friday, March 8, 2013. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lucas' cousins, Nathan, Cody, Jordan, Clinton, Donovan and Billy.

SHANKS, Patrick Ellis
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on March 26, 2013, Patrick Shanks, aged 77 years. Predeceased by his parents Raymond and Cynthia Shanks; his brother Clifford; and his sister Beverly. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, his wife of 54 years, Eileen (nee Rideout); five children: Jim (Gail), Kathy (John), Dwayne (Andrea), Annette, Tina (Gary); 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild as well as other relatives and friends. Rested at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Thursday, March 28 and on Friday, March 29. Funeral service was held at Barrett's Funeral Chapel, Mount Pearl, on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit at the Waterford Hospital. SHEPPARD, Stephen
Passed away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on Sunday, March 24, Mr. Stephen Sheppard of Lewisporte, age 88 years. He is predeceased by his daughter Judy Hill, parents Alphaeus and Hettie Sheppard, brothers James, Arthur Will and sister Mary Coish. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Mildred, grandsons Jason and Stephen Hill, son-in-law Ward Hill, brother Johnny (Pearl), brother-in-law Gordon Sheppard (Loretta) and Willie, sisters-in-law Audrey Trask (Percy) and Jean Rowe (Kevin), Frances, Bride and Annie. Rested at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home in Lewisporte. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 27 at 2 p.m. from St. Matthew's United Church in Lewisporte. As expressions of sympathy donations to the family will be gratefully accepted.

STOCKLEY, Gertrude
Born: February 12th, 1912
Passed on: March 13th, 2013
GERTRUDE STOCKLEY (nee Elliott)
Feb. 20, 1912 - March 13, 2013

Passed peacefully away at the NDB Memorial Health Centre on Wednesday, Gertrude Stockley of Summerford in her 101st year. Predeceased by her husband Herbert, son Pleamon and daughter Marguerite Boyd. Left with fond and loving memories are daughters Marina Boyd (Lynn), Summerford and Joan Boyd, Summerford and son Roy (Evelyn), CBS; also 20 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Summerford United Church on Saturday, March 16, 2013, officiated by Rev. Karl Arnold and assisted by Pastor and Mrs. Baine Andrews.
