Passed away on Wednesday, March 31st, Mr. James Baker of Little Burnt Bay, age 75 years. The funeral service was held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 3rd from the Pentecostal Church, Little Burnt Bay. James Joshua Baker was born at Black Island on September 20,1934 to Lewis and Ida Baker. He married Rose Hill on December 15 1962. They had three children; son Ewen and daughters Gwenda and Trina. James started working as a logger at a very young age and continued to do so until he was 62 years of age. All who knew him can attest to the fact that he was a very hard worker. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors especially out to his cabin on Black Island. The most important decision that James ever made was the decision he made March 4 1997 when he decided to give his heart to the Lord. James leaves to mourn son Ewen (Glennis), daughters Gwenda (Tony) and Trina (Rodney), sister Carrie Pond, grandchildren Katie Baker, Kyle Wall, and Chantal Wall. He was predeceased by his wife Rose.
