BALL, Margaret
(June 18, 1920 - March 19, 2008)
Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on March 19th, Mrs. Margaret Ball of Glenwood, aged 87 years. The funeral service was held on Sunday, March 23rd at 2:00pm from the Riverside Pentecostal Church, Glenwood. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Gideons will be gratefully accepted.
Margaret (Ash) Ball was born June 18th, 1920 in Grand Falls, to William & Elizabeth (Cater) Ash. After the untimely passing of her father, her mother married Leonard Pinsent. As a teenager, she accepted the Lord as her personal saviour and became actively involved in church ministry. At the age of 17, she pastored the Embree assembly. In 1941, Margaret married Robert Bertram Ball of Laurenceton. In 1948, they moved to Glenwood, where they raised ten children and helped pioneer the Pentecostal church. She assumed leadership positions as Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Leader, Choir Director and conducted services during the Pastor's absence. She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, gardening and being surrounded by her family. Margaret is predeceased by: Husband Robert Bertram Sister Susan Downton Brothers George Ash, Edward, Bert & Max Pinsent Left to mourn with fond and loving memories: Glen (Trudy) Ball, Bert (Glenda) Ball, Children: Ruth (Eugene) Vaters, Verna (Lloyd) Collins, Bob (Trudy) Ball, Lynn (Eric) Anderson, Sandra (David) Sheppard, Cheryl (Lloyd) Wheaton, Bill (Ruby) Ball, David Ball (Agnes). Sisters: Amelia Keefe Ethel Deering, Mildred Pretty. 22 Grandchildren, 13 Great-grandchildren.
