Died. On the 2nd inst., Christiana, wife of Mr. William Eagan, aged 45 years, a native of Trinity.

At Trinity, on the 29th April last, after a lingering illness, Captain Edward Eagan, aged 65 years, deeply and deservedly regretted by his friends, and the public generally.

EARLE, Diana
Evening Telegram   April 6, 1891 (Monday)

Died. On Sunday, 5th inst., Diana, relict of the late Joseph Earle, aged 66 years; funeral on Wednesday morning, at 10 o'clock, from the residence of Mr. Isaac Spencer, No. 44 Water Street West; friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend without further notice.

Death. 18th inst., Mr. William Earle, of Dartmouth, Devon, 69 years. Mr. Earle was Clerk of St. John's Church for 47 years.

ENNIS, John V.

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Saturday, Dec. 4, 1993, John Ennis of Holyrood (formerly of Merasheen Island and Tors Cove) in his 86th year. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn four daughters: Nancy (Jack Gosse), Mary (Cyril White), Margaret (Larry Brown), Catherine Ennis (special friend Hayward Newhook); five sons: James (Myrtle), Patrick (Esther), Joseph (Mary), Thomas (Theresa), Austin (Ann); one brother Frank (Susie); step-brother Joseph Rodgers; sister Gertrude Grouchy; also a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a large circle of family and friends. Remains resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls with funeral services on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church, Tors Cove. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Tors Cove.

ENNIS, Patrick

Daily News December 24, 1915 (Friday)

At Merasheen on the morning of the 5th instant, there passed away peacefully, Mr. Patrick Ennis at the age of 44 years. Deceased although not much beyond the prime of life, had been ailing for some time and death did not come unexpectedly. He was a son of Patrick and Ann Ennis - a young man of good morals, true to his word and faithful to his friends. Argentia, Dec. 20th, 1915.

EZEKIEL, Frank P.

Passed peacefully away at Woodford's Comfort Manor, Holyrood, on Thursday, December 16, 1993, Frank Ezekiel, of Harbour Main, age 81 years. Predeceased by his wife Mary, 1977. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories six daughters: Eileen (Tom), Margie (Mike) of Holyrood, Marion (Larry), Conception Harbour, Josephine (Joe), Madeline (Kevin) of Colinet, Marie (Graham); one son Frank (Adele), both of Mississauga, Ontario; twenty-eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren. Resting at Hickey's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Funeral Mass to take place on Saturday, December 18th at 11 a.m. from St. Peter and Paul Church, Harbour Main. Interment in the R.C. Cemetery, Harbour Main.

EZEKIEL, Gordon

Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, November 11th, 1992, Gordon Ezekiel, age 41 years. Leaving to mourn his parents Genevieve and Peter Ezekiel, one brother Ron (Sylvia) at Holyrood, four sisters: Marguerite Cole and Donna Kennedy (Bill) at St. John's, Cal Fahey (Doug) at Ottawa, Carol Ann Lewis (Don) at Avondale, four nieces, seven nephews, also a large circle of relatives and friends. Especially his friends and colleagues at MUN Department of Math and Statistics and the St. John's Bridge Club. Visitation at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 12th from 2:00 to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday, November 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service at St. John's College Chapel, MUN Campus on Friday, November 13th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

EZEKIEL, Grace D.

Passed peacefully away on April 5th at her grandson's residence, Harbour Main, Grace D. Ezekiel (nee Darling) formerly of Hawick, Scotland in her 92nd year. She leaves to mourn two sons: Francis and Angus of Harbour Main; two sisters: Di Bailey and Kate Williams of Hawick, Scotland; also 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral to take place on Tuesday, April 8th from St. Peter and Paul Church, Harbour Main.

Passed away suddenly at her late residence in Harbour Main, Veronica Ezekiel in her 78th year. Left with fond and loving memories are one brother Samuel Ezekiel (and Levina) at Harbour Main; one sister Mary Healey at Mount Pearl. Numerous nieces, nephews and special friends Angela Wall, Anne Terry, Annie Murphy, also a circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Sunday from 2-10 p.m. Funeral will take place on Monday, Nov. 2, 1993, following 1 p.m. mass at Saints Peter and Paul Church, Harbour Main. Interment will be in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Harbour Main.
