Upon reference to the old Marriage Register, however, I find that between the years 1769 and 1803 the majority of the men then married were from Somersetshire, as follows: -

Healey and the late William P. Brennan. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Ryan, Corner Brook. Given in marriage by her brother James, the bride was attended by Joan Brennan and Eleanor McNamara. William Madore was best man, assisted by ushers Patrick Hurley and Joseph Buckingham. The reception was held at Bidgood's. The couple are now living in Corner Brook.
