GOSSE
Daily News December 22, 1936 (Tuesday)

In Memoriam.
Torbay, Dec. 14 - News was received from the Mother House of the Congregation of Notre Dame, Montreal, P.Q., on Friday, Dec. 11th, of the death of Sister St. Mary Thomas Gosse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gosse. About a month ago Sister St. Mary contracted typhoid fever, and was removed to the Sisters' Hospital, where she received every care and attention. Her parents were informed of her serious condition. Later reports stated that she was steadily improving, so the news of her passing came as a distinct shock to her family and companions.
Helen left here just two years ago to continue her studies at Mabou, Cape Breton. In September 1935 she entered the congregation of Notre Dame at Sherbrook, Street, Montreal. She was a promising young Sister and much regret is expressed over her early death. Deceased was in her twentieth year. She leaves to mourn, besides her parents, two brothers and four sisters. Mother M. Joseph Gosse, Superior General of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, Texas, U.S.A., is her aunt. To her, as well as to her sorrowing parents and relatives, we extend our deepest sympathy. COM.
