Mr. Brake was predeceased by his wife: Ethel in 1979; son: James; parents: Jeremiah and Mary Em Brake; sister: Riley Hunt; brothers: Hector, Clayton and Frank. The funeral service took place on Sunday, Nov. 15 from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cathedral, with Archbishop Payne and The Very Rev. Lorne Gosse, Dean of the Cathedral officiating. Passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, Derek Gordon Day in his 26^th year. Passed away on Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Ignatius (Nash) Power, at the age of 83 years. Mr. Power was a war veteran who served in World War II. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 50 years, Edna (nee Ingram); 12 children: Ethel and husband Ray Brace; Dave and wife Maxine; Ada and husband Lloyd Gillam, Gerald and wife Donna, Barbara and husband Marty Roberts, Georgina and husband John Kartechner, Kevin and wife Brenda, Grace and husband Keith Kennedy, Annette and husband Brian Rowsell, Michael and companion Peggy, Tony and wife Debbie, and Hubert; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by a large circle of relatives and friends.
