Manning, James F. - Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996, Jim Manning, aged 77 years. WWII Veteran of the Royal Navy (PJX20087). Predeceased by his son Robert in 1954 and his son Paul in 1972. Leaving to mourn his sad loss, his loving and devoted wife Mary (O'Brien); five sons: Con (Carol), Jim (Bernadette), Wayne (fiancee Michelle), Brian (fiancee Donna), at Torbay, Gerard (Phyllis) at Calgary, Alta; brothers: Joseph (Catherine), Cyril (Dot); sisters-in-law Evelyn, in Boston; brothers-in-law: Gordon O'Brien and Joseph O'Brien, of Torbay, Robert Dodds of Chico, California, Francis Cole of Kentucky; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Special cousins: Anne Roche in Boston and Mary Nolan at Torbay. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. Funeral service on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1996 at 10 a.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Royal Canadian Legion.

Martin, Mary - Passed peacefully away at the Grace General Hospital on Wednesday, March 23, 1994, Mary Martin, in her 73rd year. Predeceased by her husband Patrick, 1981. Left to mourn their sad loss, her daughters: Mary Kenny, Bridget Haynes (Wyn), Helen Noseworthy (Norman), Margaret Foley; sons: Ales (Angela) and Gerard (Mary); thirteen grandchildren; sister Margaret Stringer and family at Little Heart's Ease; one special aunt: Agnes Cantwell at Torbay; also many other close friends and relatives. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Funeral Mass from St. Pius X Church, Friday, March 25, 1994, at 9:45 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
May she rest in peace.

Roche, Craig William - Passed tragically away in Burnaby, B.C., Craig William Roche, beloved son of William and Peggy Roche of Torbay. Predeceased by his loving grandmother Gertie O'Rourke. Leaving to mourn, besides his parents: one brother Corey; grandparents Nicholas and Jean Roche; great-aunt Sister Marie Roche; special friends in Logy Bay: Agnes Dyer, Dan O'Brien and son Darrell; four aunts; five uncles and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay. Funeral on Saturday, April 3 at 10 a.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay. Interment at R.C. Cemetery, Torbay. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to one's favorite charity. Always remembered. Always loved.

Rodgers, Kevin - Passed suddenly away on Saturday, August 16, 1997, Kevin Rodgers, son of the late James and Genevive Rodgers, 32 Signal Hill Road, also predeceased by his brother James and sister Annie. Leaving to mourn brothers: Albert and Charles (Annie) of St. John's, sisters: Mary of St. John's, Margaret of Chesapeake, Virginia; Genevive of St. John's; and Bride of P.E.I.. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday at 7 p.m. Funeral mass on Tuesday to St. Joseph's Church at a time to be announced.

Stamp, Richard - Passed away at St. Clare's, February 4th, Richard Stamp, age 81 years. Leaving to mourn wife Sarah; seven daughters: Frances (David) Scott, Delores (Vincent) Hawco, Philomena (William) Power, Brenda (Pat) Squires, Justina (John) Woodfine, Jackie (Robert) Whitten and Bobby (Ron) Follett; seven sons: Cyril (Mary), Andrew (Ann), Douglas (Phylis), Richard (Marilyn), Martin (Diane), William (Cathy), Tony [and friend Laura]; thirty-four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and three sisters: Mary Miller, Sarah Hogan and Margaret Stamp and two brothers: Edgar and Thomas. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay. Funeral notice later.

Stringer, Hubert - Passed peacefully at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on April 17, 1996, Hubert Stringer of Little Heart's Ease, aged 82 years. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Margaret; four sons: Thomas (Audrey), Howard (Christine), Doug (Bev) and Barry (Sherry); two daughters: Mary (Bram) and Janette; five grandchildren: Trevor, Jerry, Jody, Robbie and Rose; one brother Walter (Dorthy); one sister Jessie (Allan); special niece Dorthy Drodge; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Bethal United Church, Little Heart's Ease. Funeral Service to take place at Bethal United Church, Little Heart's Ease on Saturday, April 20, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. interment at Little Heart's Ease United Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Wade, Frances - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital February 3rd, Frances Wade in her 86th year. Leaving to mourn one son Leo and wife Sarah at Flatrock; one sister Mrs. Agnes Wade, Flatrock; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral Tuesday from Caul's Funeral Home to St. Michael's Church, Flatrock for mass at 11 a.m. Interment in Flatrock.
